Let's pretend for a minute that you do, indeed, have a Master's degree and are a forensic scientist. A.) that is not at all common for a black. Don't act like the average black has the brainpower to be more than a janitor. B.) Without white society you'd have no University to get your degree from and no forum in which to practice forensic science. That's fine. I suppose the officers should have immediately understood that Gates lived there simply because Gates told them so. They should have ignored the need for officer safety when following Gates to the kitchen, so that Gate's feelings didn't get hurt. Because we all know that no one dares lie to a police officer, and no one has ever intentionally attempted to hurt an officer in order ot avoid apprehension while commiting a crime.
