  • I'd love to see the sector times from each car. It might be just me but the ASM S2000 is ridiculously fast thru the corners. It really uses the downforce form it's aero to make up for the lack of hp or straightline speed.

    You can really see it in the video. Hiroki-san is damn near flat out on corner exit.

Crankshaft rebalanced, JUN connecting rod, Cosworth piston, KILLER VTEC camshaft, FCR carburetor, SS WORKS exhaust manifold and muffler. No change in bore and stroke. Who stroked B16? No change in crank no change in stroke. Lap time was 1.00.122. Put this into perspective, Mustang GT V8 Performance Package 2010 did 1.10.881 in Tsukuba. SS WORKS CRX and Mustang cost about same. CRX=cheap base and fast

  • @belmon125 its about $20k for the engine work. For body work (weight reduction, chassis rigidity, bodykit for aerodynamics, paint), $5k, foot work (suspension, LSD, brakes,wheel, tire) another $15k. It's a rough estimate, but consider the price of buying base CRX. for a complete SS WORKS demo car it will be over $40k. comes with warranty. even tuner cars has to be reasonably appealing just like any other car. Mustang GT V8 PP costs around $50k new, so I say very nice price comparing lap times

  • I think the point of this race was for tuning cars. The NSX was turbo sure... but retained it's stock motor. The Fit runs a 2400cc motor instead of it's standard 1300cc motor.

  • @MEAKapc My guess is cuz its running a turbo, as Honda engines are designed to run N/A their engines are not really built to handle boost pressures + N/A high reving.

  • @smokey321 Yeah i'm aware of all that but built b-series will run 15-20 pounds all the way to 8k or even 9k. maybe its different with the J series v6 engines but i always thought the nsx was known as a high rev monster. just something that caught my eye.

    On a track you don't want to be red lining through every shift its way too much stress even for a worked engine, its there for if you need to just push it that little harder every once in awhile for say if overtaking.

  • @CrisAntonioMorelos to be fair the ive been following the SS WORKS CR-x for years and the car has gon threw alot of motor swaps, from b20vtec, b16a, b16b w/internal mods, ect....the setup in hondaTUNING was the one with the itr crank but thats not the same motor thats in the car in this vid, or in most vids on youtube! the car is still a mystery cuz we dont kno for sure wat all is done exactly. not tryin to shit on your info

  • @naproek not tyring to be a dick but this car has been threw alot of motor changes, it had a b20/vtec in it for a short while as seen in other vids, b16a, then the b16b w/itr crank.... they are TRUE tunners, trying different setups to make the car faster
