Pat Robertson, himself whom I respect has never ever said that Christians go to Hell for one thing. I do have a testimony. It is that after my 3rd attempt of suicide, I woke up 2 hours after taking over the counter & under the counter & painkillers for my scoliosis and went to my scheduled app't with my family Dr/ phychotherapist. I told him what I did & that I had never felt better. I NOW KNEW that suicide wasn't the answer. That yes Jesus my God had a plan for my life that I knew since I had a vision of Jesus when I was 4 1/2 years old. He laughed out loud & so did I.

The discription should be taken down for sure! My 2nd oldest brother hung him self on Christmas Eve & my. Mother took pills after my oldest brother died in a provencial mental hospital. All 3 were mentally ill. God has given me dreams & visions of them in Heaven ever since, if it were not true I wouldn't be here right now. Read Eclles & Galations my friends. God is LORD over everything.....

Ok after a little investigation there are some serious problems with her story. As a gunshot victim there would be a paper trail a mile long to confirm this BUT there are no hospital records, no ambulance records, no police records, no after care records, in fact she can provide no documentation to say this incident ever took place. I also understand she claims to be a pastor but again there are no records of where or for how long she has been doing this. Looks like another book selling scam.

her lawyer you would not be able to get any information about her. It could be a scam or not.

@Thinkingisallowed All I can say is that no one even remembers her from when this is meant to have happened and there is no evidence that she was ever a pastor or even trained as such - this information is public at least. More significant though is that she is being introduced by one of the biggest scam artists going (Pat Robinson). His crimes are well documented and exposed but he still fronts on the 700 club! Ask all the children that have been exploited and maimed in his diamond mine.

@TrueSpritWorship The thing is, the word that the Nicene council translated as "eternal" actually meant "long and enduring". They decided to try to frighten people into believing, and you fell for it.

WHen will you bible-thumpers learn, all the talk of hell and damnation doesn't scare people into believing, it scares them AWAY.

Personally, if God was really that cruel, I think I'd be better off in hell.

Anyway, what about term unquenchable fire in Matt. 3:12; it says, "And His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." Even consider that being in hell is not eternal, no human can tolerate being in hell a few minutes. But we have a good news (Jesus) to get out of it

I get back into bed and lie down. He says " I can take the depression away." At this point tears start streaming down my face. I answer, "Please do, I can't live like this anymore." He replies, "Okay.", then something AMAZING happened, I felt what seemed to be a "blanket" of depression lift up off of me. I lay there in bed for awhile, then I make the decision.

That night as I lie in bed ready to give up, I get up out of bed with the intention of taking every pill I can find with the hopes of overdosing and dying, but as I stand up I hear this voice(almost audible, but not quite) say, "I Love you, and you know that I Love you, but if you take your own life you will go to hell." As someone who has dealt with severe depression and contemplated suicide, I can tell you that the choice of where you will spend the rest of eternity is up to you. One night, I decided that I was through trudging through life, just an empty soul; no happiness in my heart, no love for anyone. I hated myself, and everyone else. All my life my mother would talk abut Jesus, and how much He Loved me. I had listened, but didn't ever really give Him the time of day.

There is nothing in the Bible that says God automatically condemns those who kill themselves to hell (Christian or not). And if suicide really was a sin, (the Bible, to my knowledge does not condemn suicide), wouldn't that be forgiven through Christ's death on the cross?

If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple." (NIV) Sins bring us to hell. After commiting suicide, there is no chance to repent. The repent is done only while they alive. So people who commited suicide no chance to get forgiveness for that sin. See some more testimonies who commited suicide ended up in hell.

@TrueSpritWorship God forgives all our sins when we become Christians. Past, present and Future, suicide or not. (Paul repeats this in his letters, a lot) Also by saying that those who commit suicide are condemned to hell we are judging, which is forbidden in the Bible for Christians to do, as only God can judge!

There is no scripture I know that explicitely says that suicide will automatically cause you to go to hell. There are a lot of scriptures that tell us that Gods thoughts are not our thoughts. Unfortunately some people interpret these scriptures as "Gods thoughts are not your thoughts but mine"... We shouldn't be dogmatic. I don't doubt her experience. I just doubt the conclusion she draws.

So people suffer so much that they can't endure it any more. In an act of ultimate desparation they try to end it all, and as a result the allmighty sends them to a place of eternal pain and despair.
