hi guys i want to ask if i do this to my 528 will i have reduce in performance? i have replaced the 2 cans with some other can to make this kind of noise but it reduced my performance dramatically. if this one doesnt reduce performance i will do the same. thanks man. sounds great

@peopl3 thank you for the kind words, unfortunately it'll sound rather raspy on a 528 if you were to do this so I would stick with a perfomance muffler (dinan, eisenmann)

Was there anything specifically you had to do..I wanna know what to tell the guys at the muffler shop how I want it done to make it sound like yours

@Expendablexxxx nope, just cut off the muffler (both cans) and replace with 3" pipe thats turned down

Wow the sound is amazing!!! I have a slammed e38 I want it to sound just the that!! The sound is the only thing I'm missing! Will my car sound like that!? With the dual exhaust!?

if your looking to upgrade the note on your e39 you have to go dinan exhaust with the y pipe and resonator delete. i have a dinan5 and the sound is incredible.

@leginvestments1 Dinan is great but it costs ~$700, if I had that kind of money to throw on a muffler I'd go with Eisenmann Race but thats over $1K

@dreammoney101 I hate to say it but it wont sound good on a 6 cylinder if you just cut it off. Just buy a magnaflow muffler if you want some rumble (:

Sounds great! I'm thinking of doing the same to my 540iA but am a bit concerned with Torque loss. What's your opinion on this?

@888pilatus I cannot guarantee any power gains but you damn sure won't lose any either, not with just cutting off the muffler anyway (:

I did the same thing to mine, sounds like a effn' beast , but then i put the pipe and exhaust all the way back , youll notice serious torque loss at low RPMs , youd be better off with a electronic cut out so you can have TQ at start and then open it at higher rpms

Not at all, unless you get on it. Otherwise one would think thats how BMWs sound =)
