  • 82' is not remake 51'. Read "Who Goes There?" by John W. Campbell, Jr. .

  • @cmpeax5

They are two seperate, two very different movies and 1982's movie remains the faithful adaptation. The prequel was a fun surprise

  • if this movie was called anything else it would sound very very stupid

  • was expecting a trailer break down

  • Did you know the 1982 movie was a remake of a 1951 movie?

  • @Johnlindsey289 I know.

  • @5613n8 And both were based on the story "Who Goes There".

  • @Johnlindsey289 A remake of a remake... Recursion?

  • @Johnlindsey289 The Thing from another world with james arness

  • @Johnlindsey289 I thought the 1982 movie was based on the short story "Who Goes There?"

  • @Mimasfriend

Yes and the most faithful adaptation of the novel yet

  • Great Review man! I too have been looking foward to this film!

  • im not liking what ive seen from the trailer, looks way too much like the first. i bet they will rip off the blood test scene. in the first they said that there was no women from the first team. i guess she is only there for sex appeal and to play another ripley knock-off, oh how original.

  • @omnibus01 They never said there was no woman in the group. And no, they aren't trying to make another Ripley. They made it a woman so that the character would be more diverse and thus less comparable to McReady from the original. If it was a guy, people would be complaining that it's a McReady knock off. Sometimes you can't win with an audience.

  • @TheVoojooze actally in there own words they did sat ripley type character. on one fo the reviews on youtube.

  • @outsidetheboxinside They said they wanted someone who wasn't going to be compared to McCready so they used a woman. They THEN made the analogy with Ripley. I don't get why it's such a big deal that the central character is a woman. Oh that's right, I forgot women can't be scientists!
