When you get your kids taken from you and slapped with a restraint order based on pure lies and you realize you cant do anything legally to stop her from RAPING you, your children and wallet THEN and only then, come back and make a video and say you are a feminist.. DR. warren farrel was a former feminist but then he woke up!
org like N.O.W. invested money into opposing the SHARED PARENTING BILL
feminist want equality of outcome MRA want equality of opportunity
Feminism is also a form of collectivism and no self-respecting individual would use feminism to collectively persecute himself (alongside an entire group of people)
Good question. I am a feminist. For me feminism is about realizing that our society is a hierarchy based on race and sex groupings which privileges whiteness and men over people of color and women, and fighting to show people the unfairness and fix it. Used to be scared of the term because anti-feminists paint us all as ugly, aggressive, etc.
Feminism is a disgrace. The "hierarchy" is completely invented and it used to refer to the statistical discrepancies of varying wages amongst men and women. Unless there is a mathematical coincidence where all wages remain equal and people have equal work input, differences will always exist. It's an irrational fallacy to assume otherwise.
"Feminism to me is the idea of being treated equally as our male counterparts." Good. We can expect to see all these equalised 24/25 deaths at work male, 90% of homeless and prison pop male, 5 to 11 years earlier death, more taxes payed, longer hours worked, later retirement, 3of4 suicides male etc etc.
Straw Man arguments don't work! LOL Do you drive a BIG truck, just to make up for the little inadequacies life has thrown your way?(blushes) Your insecurities are showing, sweetie. That is why I am voting for Hillary; the best man for the job, is a woman! (grin) Go Feminism!
Wake up anarchist. One day you will get equality rather than superiority and that will mean standing on your own two feet without the affirmative discrimination that makes you equal and special at the same time. Thats why you want Billary so you can keep riding the gravy train.
(ibgood3) "Gravy Train?" Do you realize that up until 1995 a husband could brutally rape his wife and NOT be prosecuted for that rape under our American laws! You call that a gravy train, you misogynist little pecker-head? Besides being a misogynist, I would guess your homophobic and a racist too! LOL A perfect example of a mindless, insecure, little SHEEPLE!
2006, Vol. 20, No. 1, 137--142 In this survey of violence in the family participants were asked if they were "forced into sex" within the last year. 0.6% of men said yes and 0.7% of women said yes. So is the above classified as rape and which (M or F) would appear in rape stats?
That 0.6% of men that were forced in sex, was that forcing done by a woman, or another male? Any law that gives one human the right to rape another is wrong! All acts of violence perpetrated upon women in our society, should be considered a "Hate Crime!" Hillary will make sure that women's rights are protected! (smile)
"All acts of violence perpetrated upon women in our society, should be considered a "Hate Crime!" Hillary will make sure that women's rights are protected! (smile)" What about everyone elses rights? Children, elderly, males etc. I guess for you they don't matter.
"That 0.6% of men that were forced in sex, was that forcing done by a woman, or another male?" The survey was "within the family". That means m+f to the majority of people.
Wiska. "I believe you will find that 90% of all rapes are committed by men." I believe 90%+ of men don't rape. What happens to the rights of the 10% of men you cite who are raped/forced into sex?
What better way to get a good divorce settlement than cry rape knowing that even if proved false you wont be prosecuted for it. That change of law made a husband no different to a one night stand, it wont stop a bad guy, but then that wasn't the target. It's a false accusers charter and a nail in the coffin of marriage, society, children and family! Enjoy your life being married to the state.
Wiska."So what you are saying, is it should be ok for a husband to rape his wife?. No, its not OK. Anymore than its OK to make false allegations. The latter will escape punishment therefore a husband is denied his right to justice under those circumstances.
Also MayorofMetroCity the main eason women are afraid to use it can be explained by most of the comments on any feminist videos here on youtube. We're told we're ugly lesbian man-haters and that feminism has degraded the entire society.
I am proud to be a feminist, and I have been married to the same man for thirty-three years! I have 4 children, seven grandchildren, and two great granddaughters; no man hater here! LOL I believe all humans should have the same rights, regardless of gender, race, religion, location, or sexual preference! I believe no law should be made that tells a person what they can, and cannot do with their own body!
You can have your husband removed from his home today. All you have to do is make a false allegation of DV/rape and he's gone. Even if proved to be lieing you will not be prosecuted. He is a transient of indefinite duration in his own home as are all men in the same circs. Would you like to swap places and loose the privileges you enjoy?
He can have me removed also, if I assaulted him! (smile) You act you're being picked on because the law doesn't allow you to rape, even if you are married to the woman. No one has the right to rape anyone; this law protects women. The reason we have this law is because men WERE raping their wives!
"He can have me removed also, if I assaulted him! (smile)" Primary aggressor laws mean the male is removed. So keep (smiling). "You act you're being picked on because the law doesn't allow you to rape," This law applies to ALL men and is designed to leave the nice guys hamstrung with no protection against false claims. It wont stop exciting bad boys. Nor will it stop women marrying them.
Wiska. "All men, nice guys too! That is right, even nice guys are not allowed to rape their wives!" Read- All men including nice guys are rapists.
This law helps women to control men in their own homes for fear of false allegations and homelessness. Do as I say or else. Its a control freaks charter.
Good fucking posts, you're one of the few without the shroud pulled over your head.
Feminism is a hate driven movement fueled by income tax dollars (stolen by short term power seeking yes men) lobbied by branches of an ever expanding self-perpetuating gov't via warped statistics, expanded legal definitions, lies, and a fuck load of people making money off the victim industry.
Equality is unattainable, thus the next logical approach is communism - or equal outcome.
More feminist propaganda bullshit! Women do NOT make 70 cents for every dollar a man makes. That's a national average that stretches across age, job title, education, and number of hours worked. IT DOES NOT CONTROL FOR IMPORTANT VARIABLES!!!! If feminists could prove with a controlled study that women make less then men, they wouldn't need to rely on a national average.
I would argue with you, but I'd rather not waste my time on ignorant fools who refuse to accept any information on the subject (that doesn't agree with their own views). It would not be a bad idea to try and become more open-minded.
I'm sorry, you must have me confused with yourself. I've done my research. I've actually questioned the results of studies and looked for flaws in methodology and confounding variables. What have you got to offer? If anyone needs to open their mind it's you. But don't take it from me. Take it from Socrates. "It is typically the loser of an argument who begins to resort to personal attacks." LOL!
Your right you know, it's not that women get paid less for the same job (that's illegal now in most countries!), it's just that on average women are in lesser paid jobs. One needs to be careful when using statistics to back up arguments. It's not just "feminist propaganda bullshit" creaters who do this, many people on the other side of the argument misuse stats too. Let's be more carefull!
Hell, feminists tried to make a "controlled" study but ultimately failed. The AAUW recently published a study which showed that women graduating from college earn 80% compared to men. However, in order to doctor these results, the AAUW had to lump many professions together into broad categories that would mask obvious eyebrow raisers. For example, one category is labeled "health professionals" and includes everyone from surgeons to nurses. See how that might skew the results?
why dont men just stop fighting for this country until we are treated fairly.hell women dont even have to sign the draft talk about eqaul they wont do it. must be nice to have your cake and eat it to.
i totally support feminism and I consider myself as a feminist.well.. it is very unusual to find a man talking about feminism in a positive way.I'm glad to hear it. I think that ther's nothing bad about feminism it's just about wrong translation of that movement. I mean if people were more thought about that movement it would be easier to accept feminism.
Nothing bad about feminism?!! It destroyed this Nation!!! One need to look no further than New Orleans to see that only Manpower can rebuild that City, and the Men aren't there! Feminist have either killed most of us off, jailed us, or sent us off to die in War!!!
(cont.)They began engaging in a "class war" between women and men. Their policies have resulted in nothing but expanding government power and stripping men, and women, of their Constitutional rights (feminist jurisprudence). They are blatantly hypocritical and chauvinistic. They preach equality, but push for a socialist society, which is always totalitarian. Feminists use the language of Liberalism, but they do not practice it.
The term 'feminism' has a serious stigma now... im not sure exactly why. It seems many men in western societies feel that feminists have got all the rights they wanted and should stop complaining, but i believe there is still a huge problem with the attitudes towards women and their place in society. Many young women i know reject the term 'feminism' because it implies they hate men etc. I'm a feminist, but I often don't say so.
Ihavecoolpants, if you want to understand why so many people of both sexes dislike feminism then you should explore the philosophical roots of feminism. The early women of "First Wave" feminism were simply Liberals who took Liberalism to it's logical extremes and pointed out the hypocrisy in society. Later, "Second Wave" feminism adopted many Marxist philosophical values under the delusion that, just b/c the social analysis seemed to fit so well, the solution must be correct also.(cont...)
Do yourself a favor: learn the difference between Liberalism and Marxism/Socialism. People don't reject feminism b/c they reject equality for women. They reject the socialist ideal which drives their socio-political model. Look at other countries around the world where feminism has been more "successful" (i.e., adopted measures which feminists approve of). Canada, most of Europe, Australia...all cultures with more sympathetic attitudes towards socialism.
Ok thanks, i know a bit about all that, but i'll do some more research. The young women i refer to have less understanding of the history of feminism than i do, so i doubt their views are founded on the things you've mentioned, but i'm sure what you have stated explaines the attitudes of many other people.
Actually, Ihavecoolpants, I don't think it's necessary for them to understand the history of feminism to be influenced by it. These attitudes are hinted at and encouraged in writings and teachings and in the political stances of many feminists. This information, once analyzed consciously or unconsciously, leads those who internalize it to the adoption of Marxist philosophical principles.
haha no not at all. I'm finishing my last year of high school, just to let you know. Would you be able to suggest some books or webpages to look up if i wanted to find out a bit more on this topic?
Try "Who Stole Feminism" by Christina Hoff Sommers. There's also "The Myth of Male Power" by Warren Farrell and "No More Sex War" by Neil Lyndon. All of these books can provide you with some insight. Also, you can go to mises[dot]org and find a manuscript by Mises himself called "Socialism: An Economic and Social Analysis." "The Blank Slate" by Steven Pinker also has a good chapter on gender and is an excellent read.
You might also want to read anything written by Wendy McElroy. She runs a website called IFeminist, which stands for individualist feminist. She has an excellent article about the individualist roots of feminism, but I don't know the web address or title of the article.
I think, claim that it is equality movement is a scam used to shield unpleasant reality and in fact sexist policies against men and women (who do not agree) are pushed through media, academia, politics. I think it has had negative influence on educational and research systems of school and university level.
Imo, feminism is an ideology/movement, and like many ideologies things can and do go wrong, take fascism, socialism as comparisons. I thing even on the language level feminism is "fem" - female "ism", making it not equality, but segregation movement in favour of one sex identified in the name of the movement.
What? Yet another little man fooled by the feminist ideology? Truely sad. BTW, why not read a book or two about the subject from a MANS POV instead of smoking another blunt...
Eh, I find it somewhat bullshitting. Femenism is the reason guys shouldn't be manly.... farting, yelling, kicking ass, ect...
Manliness.... pick up the book "The Alphabet of Manliness" at the local store. I do not agree with degrading women, but men shouldn't have to act gay for their wives....
I believe feminism is the belief that both sexes are equal. I am a feminist. I think that there is still a lack of equality between them and that it is looked over. I am not saying which has more rights or which has less but from personal experience I have found that many people still experience discrimination. I find that todays media is very degrading towards women and in some cases men.
I just recently came to terms with being able to publicly call myself a feminist.
I think the shift happened when I read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood and realized how much is really still at stake for women, how easily what we've gained can be taken away.
The thing I'm finding hard to deal with is that so many people identify feminists as men hating, 'right to shave' angry women.
If you look at the efforts of feminist organizations around the world you will see that they are. Read up on feminist jurisprudence. It's the single greatest threat to the concept of individual liberties alive today; even more than terrorism. It considers the principles of Western jurisprudence (objectivity/neutrality of law, innocent until proven guilty, individual rights, etc.) to be inherently sexist b/c they "were created by men for men." Your sisters hard at work.
There are bad people in all walks of life but I believe in my own definition of feminism for myself and I'm not going to give that up because some people who also call themselves feminists do things that are objectable. Why should we revoke a whole way of thought because some people use it for objectable things?
I'm not involved in feminst organizations, I support the issues I believe in and for me being a feminist is an individual part of who I am.
Just as being a libertarian is part of who I am, but the majority of libertarians don't advocate for immoral acts. They don't seek state interventionism or sexist laws (i.e., Title IX). They don't encourage sexist screening processes for domestic violence calls. They don't push misandry and chauvinism onto others. It's fine if you're an equity feminist, but realize that you're being represented, in the news and on college, by gender feminists.
I represent myself, if someone meets me and can't take the time to listen to my reasons and respect me for why I am a feminist then that's their problem not mine. I don't control other people I can only be myself and hope that's enough for people.
Hey, that's great, Anidddd. If all you care about is living your life as you see fit and not forcing your beliefs onto others via the law, then more power to you. Just understand that all the negative attitudes towards feminism do not originate from one place (i.e., patriarchy). As I've said on other videos about feminism in the past, most people oppose feminists b/c they use the law to force their will onto others the same way patriarchy forced men and women to be a certain way.
You say that you're not involved in feminist organizations. Why? Is it b/c most of the things they do are objectionable? More importantly, how we define good and bad are based on our personal philosophies, and the Cultural Marxism which underlies second-wave feminism is founded upon immoral collectivist values. Feminists, and feminism, need to get back to their classical-liberal roots.
Mostly it's because I don't know enough about them to want to be a part of them, for me feminism is a homegrown thing. It's a part of my beliefs and how I value myself as a person. I believe in a lot of the same things as feminists but I consider those beliefs just another part of me, not something I believe in because I'm a feminist.
Yeah, if you're a man and support feminism then chances are you're gonna be called a mangina. It's what some anti-feminists jump to when they see "traitorous" men aiding feminists. I know how it feels. I've been called a "troll" and misogynist for disagreeing with feminists in the past.
It's not my penis I'm concerned about, it's my rights. When feminists systematically create and push laws which undermine my rights as a citizen then, yes, I will fight against such behavior. Trying to get rid of bias? Why is it acceptable for feminists to use coercive measures but not for others? And before you start I just have to say, "yes", legal coercion is no different from physical coercion because, as everyone knows, behind every law is a cop with a gun.
There's nothing to fight for anymore, that's the problem. So many radical feminists are behaving like Vietnam vets; they're still looking for Charlie in the trees. Truth is, women have equal opportunity, protection under the law, and numerous privledges not available to men; most of which are unofficial.
And im Jesus christ... Do you have a penis? Are you not a guy? This is not an arguement against feminism this is one against you.. grow some god damn balls and leave the feminism to those without... And 2 questions for you. What the fuck is Metro City and who elected you? And. Why are you wearing that towell on your head?
you are positive? your self-righteous absolutism is your personal folly. Look at yourself and your trappings before professing your own little truth as a "universal" experience.
One of the more disturbing trends I've noticed about feminist behavior is their fixation on the past. They seem to believe that the wrongs of the past "entitle" them to carry out acts of discrimination against men. How can these people, men and women, not expect their actions to be identified as unconstitutional?
i don't wanna be too rough on the boys either...i have to admit that a lot of women and feminists annoy the holy-hell out of me too. i get along more with guys than i do with girls/women, even though when the feminist comments come on, its often throat ripping bad with them. the only thing that relates me to most women is the common anger of being a girl (if they feel any). anyways, not just cuz ure feminist, i will like you, much less ALL of you, but i will connect..
I am sorry to hear about your anger, but your negative feelings don't give you, nor anyone, the right to bash or discriminate anyone. On a separate note, it sounds to me like feminism is giving you a reason to stay angry which isn't healthy. I feel great sympathy for you b/c you have embraced a spiteful ideology which has no basis in modern North America. Please understand that I say this with the utmost compassion.
ps: feminism isnt sexist. it is about creating self-respect and a solid autonomous self-identity. it is about empowering the caregiver, empowering and un-demonizing dependency in a highly individualist society. Feminists DON"T seek the erradication of men, or male-identity. Just the part that are destructive to living beingsbeings (a lot of the same destructive qualitites are in women too and feminists are against that/them too)
All of which are noble aims, but you must examine the ACTIONS of feminists to understand them completely. They do not push for equal treatment of the sexes, the push favoritism. The argument of "oppression" in contemporary society is completely unfounded. In your opinion, how would you say women are oppressed in today's society?
Good question. I;ve stuggled with this question for a long time: "what is oppression" its especially hard to pinpoint it in today's society. Generally i say its highly subjective. i guess when you feel it in your soul then you talk to others and they say they feel the exact same - then you have somethign to start basing it on: institutionally established one-sided privilege and inequality.
If "oppression" is so rare that you have to go looking for it, this should tell you something. Furthermore, your criteria describe attitudes rather than oppression. Subjectivity is certainly NOT a valid option for critical analysis. Subjectivity opens a whole variety of sophist arguements. The entire patriarchy, and the oppression of women, was a subjective matter. I doubt you want to open that door. Feeling oppressed and being oppressed are two separate things.
As it stands there are areas in modern society where men are discriminated against, namely the family courts. I've listened to the complaints and grievances of men in Canada and I'm appauled. Look at how DV shelters turn away men, how DV studies systematically ignore or undermine the pain of men. There are very real biases out there and radical feminists are to blame. P.S.- Would you like me to send you that paper I wrote? I promise not to send viruses or anthing lame like that. :)
Now its unconceivable- except when you think in fundamentalist or desperate philosophies that squeeze life out of people in guise of "order" and "control" of society. Pure bullshit. I dotn trust anyone who is too self-centered to see value in feminism or equality or self-respect.
If anyone's self-centered it's feminists. They never listen to the accounts of those who dissent to their views, whether their beliefs are based on fact or not. Your stance is a perfect example of why I am against feminists. If you want, send me your e-mail address and I'll send you a paper I've written explaining in detail the reasons I oppose feminism.
well its the same as saying "why don't accusers of racism ever want to discuss the value of racism?" cuz its there its strong...you can argue it as any other object.... but women are asked to bear this weight al the time. as if just because we know slavery was so obviously wrong, that when we can't "see it" as easily (as in color) it suddenly becomes less justified. fuck you!
people are affraid of feminism just like people give up their rights or are affraid of standing up for themselves and their values when there is threat. Only the strong willed can sustain "feminism" and insight others to do it also. Consider that when the movement first started, 75% of women were against votes for women and actively pushed the women petitioners out of their houses (undoubtedly under the watchful eye of husband-daddy-brother-etc).
The reason that I am an anti-feminist is because it's an inherently sexist philosophy. You cannot fight for equal rights when your fundamental assumption is "women are oppressed by men". Radical feminists have done everything in their power to spread misandry within our culture, prinicipally by spreading lies. The biggest turn off for me is the manner in which feminists treat dissenters. Say you're against feminism and you're automatically a misogynist.
what is "being against feminism"? can mean so much. i mean its obvious that if you're gonna say something like "women belong in the home" or a more hidden phrase symbolizing the same thing, you will get offended people shuttign you up.??? answer though.
I'm glad you made this comment. A common misconception is that being anti-feminist means your anit-equality. This notion is fallacious. I believe that men and women are equal with regards to intelligence, though there are certain distict differences, and that both sexes should have equal opportunity. However, feminism cares more about "50/50" than equal opportunity. No one is guaranteed a position or resources in a capitalist society.
funk, i really don't have to explain anything to you. It seems that your information sources are extremely biased against any notion of feminism as a good thing. You will come about it on your terms.
For a most part, feminism is about respect. For a woman, its knowing women's role in historic events as active dynamic players; it is being aware of the past religious pagan impact. For current times, its understanding and awareness of media's exploitation and portrayal of women. Feminism is a tool to enable men and women to come closer once again; to free men from the "isms" of aggression and domination and to free women from the "isms" of docility and self-doubt.
The past religious impact is Wiccan right? Its supposed history is all bunk.
"Feminism is a tool to enable men and women to come closer once again" then explain the wiritngs of the early feminists who explicitly said Marriage and the family unit must be destroyed
as i am possitive that no women are trapped by "isms" of aggression and domination, and no men feel any effects of docility and self doubt. Your thinking is clearly biased to universal stereotypes, the common oppressor of all society. If you truly wish equality you'll use that "awareness" to make a REAL difference instead of bitching and hoping to gain through reverse discrimination
Yes women can now pick up the phone to order a pizza or have her husband removed from the house he half owns. There is no such thing as a "male and female race."
Great video. You really hit the nail on the head with what feminism is aiming to do in my opinion. Refreshing to hear a man who isn't afraid to attribute the term 'feminist' to these beliefs, too.
To a certain extent that is a good point. However what people have to realize is that with any movement there a pitfalls, and there are people who will take advantage of the empowerment the movement gives them, but not want to give up anything in return. I am a feminist who believes with right comes responsibiliy and I think most feminists do.
Feminist are women who belive in social and political equality for women...however the want to gain all the benefits and none of the harms. Don't belive me, go slap a dude, then slap a women, then call the police. I guarantee that the dude is not what got you placed behind bars.
feminism is first a movement for equality for everyone (especially men & women) because we still live in machist society. Feminist is a movement that will dissapear the day being a woman won't be a sin anymore.
In sociology, if it's sociology of good repute, it still means to the root. Radical comes from the Latin radix, which means root. It's called basic etymology of words. Really, it's something you can find out just by looking in a damn dictionary.
"Women's liberation, if it abolishes the patriarchal family, will abolish a necessary substructure of the authoritarian state, and once that withers away Marx will have come true willy-nilly, so let's get on with it."
Feminism is the movement for justice, especially for women. I'm a radical feminist.
Radical feminism specifically deals with the roots of patriarchy, locating it within the sexual oppression of women through sexual assault, child sexual abuse, prostitution, the pornography industry, etc. We also criticize beauty standards, racism, classism, etc.
Go and watch Breaking the lies-Woman the Gentler Offender. Then google Media radar for the stats to see/ignore the truth that women are the main perpetrators for child fatalities and abuse and are equally if not more violent in DV.
Who is the "Madame" controlling a brothel? Lesbians/some women watch/like porno but thats different I guess and which sex gets payed the most in porno flicks? White women live 11.5 years longer than Black men (criticise that).
But still, het men are the vast majority of consumers of both porn and of prostituted people. Most "madams" are ex- (and current) prostitutes. Many brothels are owned by men. Also, most pimps in street prostitution, stripping, ecort services, "partners" (pimps), etc are men. What's lifespan have to do with f**k anything?
You said feminists are against racism, classism. The fact that black men live considerably shorter lives than white women never seems to surface in feminist agenda.
In the US (I'm from Canada here) that's largely true because black men are disproportionately poor and in ghettoes, where they are exposed in street crime and gang violence. Many young black men are killed in single homicides by other young black men. Also, white men kill black men for racist reasons. Black men are in jail, on drugs, etc. at a huge rate--because of poverty, racism, the fact that white men need and want to keep them down so they can retain their privileges.
So this is all caused by white men, and black men keep killing each other so it's also their own fault. White men kill black men but not vice versa. While women are squeaky clean because they are victims too (even the ones living with rich white guys).
Prostitutes are selling what they have to earn a living. Men tend to do the more dirty, dangerous jobs in society, they are selling their physical strength to earn a living. Pimps are criminals who should be and are put in jail.
Ummm...being in prostitution is EXTREMELY dangerous. Prostitutes are the most raped group of people ever--atleast 60% have been raped in prostitution. Most women in it who have been raped have been raped numerous times. About 80% have been sexually abused as children. Over half enter prostitution before the age of 16. About 80% of prostitution is pimp controlled. Over 2/3 have PTSD.
28/29 work related deaths are male. If you include the prison population men are raped more often than women. You mean that prostitutes are raped because the John Doe hasn't got permission to have sex with them ie. payed?
2006, Vol. 20, No. 1, 137--142 In this survey of violence in the family participants were asked if they were "forced into sex" within the last year. 0.6% of men said yes and 0.7% of women said yes. Feminists would call that rape unless of course it happens to a male!
Maybe women abuse children physically and neglect children more than men because 1) in 90% of single parent families, it's a mom on her own, so there is no dad to blame and 2) in two parent families, women still do most of the child rearing and spent more time with kids than do dads. So if women are the main caretakers and spend most of the day with their kids, it makes perfect sense that they'd be the majority of physical abusers.
So why do videos and commercials for charities and feminist organisations tend to depict males as the main culprits. Surely this shifts the blame away from the main perpetrators.
The main abusers of women and children are men, especially when you focus on sexual abuse. My comment was a hypothetical one that worked on the assumption that your stats were correct. Also, over 90% of sex abusers and rapists are men. About 86% of serial killers are white men. MEN ARE THE MAIN PERPETRATORS.
It's logical that the main abusers of women would be male followed by other women and vice versa. However the main abusers or children are female 58.8% then male 42.2%. Child fatality perpetrators 30.5% mother alone 18.2% father alone. Google mediaradar.
he majority of serial killers are psychopaths, the majority of psychopaths are not killers. The condition is not gender specific. Google Dr. Robert Hare. The majority of US males are white. The majority of men are not pschopaths, serial killers, rapists , sex abusers etc. 98% of US males have not been convicted of any crimes I have read. Feminists seem to see men as the enemy.
2004 U. S. Department of Education report "Educator Sexual Misconduct: A Synthesis of Existing Literature" cites two large sample surveys in which students report that 43% of their molesters were female sexual predators. The Canadian Children's Rights Council This second group estimates that 25% of sexual predators are female but also cite studies where the female predator rates range from 1% to 82% with six studies reporting female predator rates over 50%.
Destruction of the nuclear family is part of the feminist agenda and they are doing a good job of it and blaming absent fathers for the consequences. It's the kids that suffer.
Also, then how in hell do you explain over 90% of pedophiles and rapists being male? Even only 15-20% of the sex abusers of boys are women.
And how come, according to Statistics Canada (I'm Canadian) have nearly 30% of ever married women been assaulted physically or sexually by their husbands?
Morse, B. J. (1995). Beyond the Conflict Tactics Scale: Assessing gender differences in partner violence. Violence and Victims, 10 (4), 251-272. a longitudinal study begun in 1976 with 1,725 subjects drawn from a probability sample of households. Married or cohabiting respondents during survey years 1983, 1986, 1989, and 1992. For each survey year the prevalence rates of any violence and severe violence were significantly higher for female to male than for male to female
It's over a decade old. I have stats from the 21 century.
I'm not familiar with this particular study, but I know that others of it's ilk have serious methodology problems. For example, Levi-Strauss's cateogries of violence include a woman throwing a pillow at a man to be the same level of violence as a man attacking a woman with a knife.
So DV has only occured after 1995? Being forced into sex is rape for a women but not for a man. Arguing with your wife is classified as being DV by feminists.
jbgood Your wasting your time trying to argue femstats with a feminist. 90% plus 15 equals 105% and 110% with the other figure. Doesnt make sense. And Im the one who needs to learn!
I really need to stop wasting my time with you antifeminists, so this is probably my last comment.
Women are 15-20% of the sexual abusers of boys, 0-6% of the sexual abusers of girls, and from 1-10% of rapists. That averages out to being less than 10%. So it's not 90+15 or 20, it's 80 or 85 + 15 or 20. For the love of dog, y'all.
Umm, yes they do. Girls are more than twice as likely as boys to be sexually abused. About 95% of the sex abusers of girls are male, about 85% of the sex abusers of boys are male. Of course it adds up.
If you refer to the surveys and sites I have pointed out earlier you will find that acts of violence occur both ways but feminists choose to ignore assaults by wives on their husbands. Google Dr. Martin S. Fiebert. I'm glad you acknowledge that there are female paedophiles.
I do consider myself a feminist, and I plan on making a response to this video, so I'll go more in depth there. Thank you for posing the question! And I'm very happy that you consider yourself a feminist. =)
Feminism propagates a series of myths ie. the 71 cent myth,DV figures that ignore the fact that men and their children suffer more from female violence than vice versa. The 1 in 4 rape myth. It recieves government funds in exchange for the feminist vote.
I would really like to see some evidence that any of that is myths, any links? the 71 cent thing has been changed as each years stats come out, and its true that within a business men and women usually make more similar amounts, but on the whole it is still rather skewed. i dont think domestic violence towards anyone should be allowed and feminists (the ones i know) certainly address that... 1/5 nationally 1/4-1/3 nationally on college campuses.
Im not sure any of those effectively counter argue feminist statements, for instance the group i work with works against DV for both, recognizing that its a human issue. The 76 cent myth, like I said before is changed, and is only meant to discuss inequality -it implies discrimination across the field, in all institutions effectively implying that there are socialized differences, rather than simple wage gap bias, but the uninfromed may see it differently.
(and that is a problem) perhaps more people need to look into sociology and statistical methods, or actual feminist works. Perhaps feminists (like all scholars and activists) need to make sure they are critical of their own work for bias.
Hard nosed businesses will not pay a dollar for something they can get for 76cents. Have a look at all the DV videos on this sight and see how many mention female perpetrators and their victims. They are largely ignored. Search for the Bullbusters video and Women The Gentler Offender for the other side of the coin.
Have a look at liar femnag statistics which trumpet 1 in 4 women have been raped every 2 seconds. That would mean there are 75 million rapists in the last 30 years. With only 2 million men in prison, 75% in prison for drugs, the other 23 % for stealing, that leaves like 2% for other!
Feminists are liars and scum! There is nothing good in them! Well their leaders for that matter!
Feminism drives a wedge between the sexes, it calls for destruction of the nuclear family, (and is being succesful). It labels millenia of progress under what it calls patriarchy as oppression. Go figure!
But men and women are not equal, physically, mentally, emotionaly, and in every other way.
Our basic chemical structure isn't even the same. I don't think it should be equal either. Yes we should all be alloud to do the same things like vote and shop and other normal stuff.
All of this equality BS that started in the 60s has tunrned the world what it is today. 60% of all households are ran by single mothers. 80% of all marriges the breadwinner is the woman.
Our basic chemical structure isn't the same?? Might want to brush up on your science skills.
Blaming women for men deserting their families is pretty twisted. If you mean that if women would just shut up and know their "place" than men would stay...how sad for a man to not be strong enough emotionally or mentally to be able to love a equal partner instead of doormat.
Blaming women for men deserting their families (i.e. the husband getting kicked out after wifey discovers she's no longer in love with him and instead loves the bad boy she met at the bar last week) isn't nearly as twisted as blaming men for women mutilating and/or murdering their own children.
It's proven that women stop have sex after a child. After they get what they want. Yet they will spend, on average 2 hours a day rumaging through his personal affairs in case he is cheating! If the wife put out she wouldn't have to worry!
They women leave 85% of marriages, they initie divorce proceedings!
Most men do not want to pay child support and alimony to our supposed equals!
If women are so independent, than why do they need our money.
actually RADCIAL feminist encouraged equality despite difference. that means science and other studies should account for biological and other differnces, but not let it be a reason for inequality. as you know sceince has a nasty history of racial antrhopology and measuring women's brains and claiming they are as intelligent as children. So propaganda is necessary to at least ensure, scientific men and science itself get out of the "privielged, manly" bias...
Obviously there were biases in past cultures and they manifested themselves in all facets of societ, but the scientific method is the only reliable measure we have for understanding the physical world, us included. Science has freed women in more ways than feminism and lead to the empowerment and liberation of women (industrialisation and technological advances). Can you illustrate any contemporary examples of biased research agains women?
At the same time, we must make sure that we provide opportunities for young girls to accomplish the same things as a man. Should I give my daughter Barbie dolls when she is young or will that just influence her to behave according to certain ideals that could limit her later in life? Or is she born preprogrammed to behave like a "girl"? (I don't actually have a child).
I tend to be somewhere in the middle on this issue and rather than call myself a feminist I prefer to think of myself as an individualist - every one must be encouraged to think for themself and be allowed to act on that free will. if a woman wants to be a 'stay-at-home' parent she should be allowed to without fear of criticism but then so should a man.
When you get your kids taken from you and slapped with a restraint order based on pure lies and you realize you cant do anything legally to stop her from RAPING you, your children and wallet THEN and only then, come back and make a video and say you are a feminist.. DR. warren farrel was a former feminist but then he woke up!

Feminism is also a form of collectivism and no self-respecting individual would use feminism to collectively persecute himself (alongside an entire group of people)
professorfoxtrot 4 years ago
Good question. I am a feminist. For me feminism is about realizing that our society is a hierarchy based on race and sex groupings which privileges whiteness and men over people of color and women, and fighting to show people the unfairness and fix it. Used to be scared of the term because anti-feminists paint us all as ugly, aggressive, etc.
thjadewolf 4 years ago
Feminism is a disgrace. The "hierarchy" is completely invented and it used to refer to the statistical discrepancies of varying wages amongst men and women. Unless there is a mathematical coincidence where all wages remain equal and people have equal work input, differences will always exist. It's an irrational fallacy to assume otherwise.

Feminism to me is the idea of being treated equally as our male counterparts. I am a feminist, and thanks for making the video.

Journal of Family Psychology
2006, Vol. 20, No. 1, 137--142 In this survey of violence in the family participants were asked if they were "forced into sex" within the last year. 0.6% of men said yes and 0.7% of women said yes. So is the above classified as rape and which (M or F) would appear in rape stats?
jbgood3 4 years ago
That 0.6% of men that were forced in sex, was that forcing done by a woman, or another male? Any law that gives one human the right to rape another is wrong! All acts of violence perpetrated upon women in our society, should be considered a "Hate Crime!" Hillary will make sure that women's rights are protected! (smile)

I believe no law should be made that tells a person what they can, and cannot do with their own body!
wiskawind 4 years ago
You can have your husband removed from his home today. All you have to do is make a false allegation of DV/rape and he's gone. Even if proved to be lieing you will not be prosecuted. He is a transient of indefinite duration in his own home as are all men in the same circs. Would you like to swap places and loose the privileges you enjoy?
jbgood3 4 years ago
He can have me removed also, if I assaulted him! (smile) You act you're being picked on because the law doesn't allow you to rape, even if you are married to the woman. No one has the right to rape anyone; this law protects women. The reason we have this law is because men WERE raping their wives!
wiskawind 4 years ago 3
"He can have me removed also, if I assaulted him! (smile)" Primary aggressor laws mean the male is removed. So keep (smiling). "You act you're being picked on because the law doesn't allow you to rape," This law applies to ALL men and is designed to leave the nice guys hamstrung with no protection against false claims. It wont stop exciting bad boys. Nor will it stop women marrying them.
jbgood3 4 years ago
All men, nice guys too! That is right, even nice guys are not allowed to rape their wives!
wiskawind 4 years ago
Wiska. "All men, nice guys too! That is right, even nice guys are not allowed to rape their wives!" Read- All men including nice guys are rapists.
This law helps women to control men in their own homes for fear of false allegations and homelessness. Do as I say or else. Its a control freaks charter.

I think the saddest thing in society today is that women make only about 70 cents for every dollar a man makes.
xdarkxflowerx 4 years ago
More feminist propaganda bullshit! Women do NOT make 70 cents for every dollar a man makes. That's a national average that stretches across age, job title, education, and number of hours worked. IT DOES NOT CONTROL FOR IMPORTANT VARIABLES!!!! If feminists could prove with a controlled study that women make less then men, they wouldn't need to rely on a national average.
istoute 4 years ago
I would argue with you, but I'd rather not waste my time on ignorant fools who refuse to accept any information on the subject (that doesn't agree with their own views). It would not be a bad idea to try and become more open-minded.
xdarkxflowerx 4 years ago
I'm sorry, you must have me confused with yourself. I've done my research. I've actually questioned the results of studies and looked for flaws in methodology and confounding variables. What have you got to offer? If anyone needs to open their mind it's you. But don't take it from me. Take it from Socrates. "It is typically the loser of an argument who begins to resort to personal attacks." LOL!
istoute 4 years ago
Your right you know, it's not that women get paid less for the same job (that's illegal now in most countries!), it's just that on average women are in lesser paid jobs. One needs to be careful when using statistics to back up arguments. It's not just "feminist propaganda bullshit" creaters who do this, many people on the other side of the argument misuse stats too. Let's be more carefull!
ihavecoolpants 4 years ago
Hell, feminists tried to make a "controlled" study but ultimately failed. The AAUW recently published a study which showed that women graduating from college earn 80% compared to men. However, in order to doctor these results, the AAUW had to lump many professions together into broad categories that would mask obvious eyebrow raisers. For example, one category is labeled "health professionals" and includes everyone from surgeons to nurses. See how that might skew the results?

(cont.)They began engaging in a "class war" between women and men. Their policies have resulted in nothing but expanding government power and stripping men, and women, of their Constitutional rights (feminist jurisprudence). They are blatantly hypocritical and chauvinistic. They preach equality, but push for a socialist society, which is always totalitarian. Feminists use the language of Liberalism, but they do not practice it.
istoute 4 years ago
The term 'feminism' has a serious stigma now... im not sure exactly why. It seems many men in western societies feel that feminists have got all the rights they wanted and should stop complaining, but i believe there is still a huge problem with the attitudes towards women and their place in society. Many young women i know reject the term 'feminism' because it implies they hate men etc. I'm a feminist, but I often don't say so.
ihavecoolpants 4 years ago

Achievements of feminism are measured in dollar amounts in grants from the Federal Government.
SterlingSolomon 4 years ago
i take your point, would you be able to provide some examples?
ihavecoolpants 4 years ago
Ihavecoolpants, if you want to understand why so many people of both sexes dislike feminism then you should explore the philosophical roots of feminism. The early women of "First Wave" feminism were simply Liberals who took Liberalism to it's logical extremes and pointed out the hypocrisy in society. Later, "Second Wave" feminism adopted many Marxist philosophical values under the delusion that, just b/c the social analysis seemed to fit so well, the solution must be correct also.(cont...)
istoute 4 years ago
Do yourself a favor: learn the difference between Liberalism and Marxism/Socialism. People don't reject feminism b/c they reject equality for women. They reject the socialist ideal which drives their socio-political model. Look at other countries around the world where feminism has been more "successful" (i.e., adopted measures which feminists approve of). Canada, most of Europe, Australia...all cultures with more sympathetic attitudes towards socialism.
istoute 4 years ago
Ok thanks, i know a bit about all that, but i'll do some more research. The young women i refer to have less understanding of the history of feminism than i do, so i doubt their views are founded on the things you've mentioned, but i'm sure what you have stated explaines the attitudes of many other people.
ihavecoolpants 4 years ago
Actually, Ihavecoolpants, I don't think it's necessary for them to understand the history of feminism to be influenced by it. These attitudes are hinted at and encouraged in writings and teachings and in the political stances of many feminists. This information, once analyzed consciously or unconsciously, leads those who internalize it to the adoption of Marxist philosophical principles.

Try "Who Stole Feminism" by Christina Hoff Sommers. There's also "The Myth of Male Power" by Warren Farrell and "No More Sex War" by Neil Lyndon. All of these books can provide you with some insight. Also, you can go to mises[dot]org and find a manuscript by Mises himself called "Socialism: An Economic and Social Analysis." "The Blank Slate" by Steven Pinker also has a good chapter on gender and is an excellent read.
istoute 4 years ago
You might also want to read anything written by Wendy McElroy. She runs a website called IFeminist, which stands for individualist feminist. She has an excellent article about the individualist roots of feminism, but I don't know the web address or title of the article.

I think, claim that it is equality movement is a scam used to shield unpleasant reality and in fact sexist policies against men and women (who do not agree) are pushed through media, academia, politics. I think it has had negative influence on educational and research systems of school and university level.
LostAngel169 4 years ago
Imo, feminism is an ideology/movement, and like many ideologies things can and do go wrong, take fascism, socialism as comparisons. I thing even on the language level feminism is "fem" - female "ism", making it not equality, but segregation movement in favour of one sex identified in the name of the movement.

It considers the principles of Western jurisprudence (objectivity/neutrality of law, innocent until proven guilty, individual rights, etc.) to be inherently sexist b/c they "were created by men for men." Your sisters hard at work.
istoute 4 years ago
There are bad people in all walks of life but I believe in my own definition of feminism for myself and I'm not going to give that up because some people who also call themselves feminists do things that are objectable. Why should we revoke a whole way of thought because some people use it for objectable things?
I'm not involved in feminst organizations, I support the issues I believe in and for me being a feminist is an individual part of who I am.
anidddd 4 years ago
Just as being a libertarian is part of who I am, but the majority of libertarians don't advocate for immoral acts. They don't seek state interventionism or sexist laws (i.e., Title IX). They don't encourage sexist screening processes for domestic violence calls. They don't push misandry and chauvinism onto others. It's fine if you're an equity feminist, but realize that you're being represented, in the news and on college, by gender feminists.
istoute 4 years ago
I represent myself, if someone meets me and can't take the time to listen to my reasons and respect me for why I am a feminist then that's their problem not mine. I don't control other people I can only be myself and hope that's enough for people.
anidddd 4 years ago
Hey, that's great, Anidddd. If all you care about is living your life as you see fit and not forcing your beliefs onto others via the law, then more power to you. Just understand that all the negative attitudes towards feminism do not originate from one place (i.e., patriarchy). As I've said on other videos about feminism in the past, most people oppose feminists b/c they use the law to force their will onto others the same way patriarchy forced men and women to be a certain way.
istoute 4 years ago
You push misandry and chauvisnism onto others?
anidddd 4 years ago
No, feminism pushes misandry and chauvinism onto others. At least that goes for the majority of feminist organizations, leaders, and advocates.
istoute 4 years ago
You say that you're not involved in feminist organizations. Why? Is it b/c most of the things they do are objectionable? More importantly, how we define good and bad are based on our personal philosophies, and the Cultural Marxism which underlies second-wave feminism is founded upon immoral collectivist values. Feminists, and feminism, need to get back to their classical-liberal roots.
istoute 4 years ago
Mostly it's because I don't know enough about them to want to be a part of them, for me feminism is a homegrown thing. It's a part of my beliefs and how I value myself as a person. Feminism to me:
1- Acknowledging that there is a disadvantage in the society to being a woman.
2- Finding biases in oneself and in the society against women.
3- Try to get rid of these biases.
Although, some guys think their penises will fall off if they become feminists :)
speeching 5 years ago
It's not my penis I'm concerned about, it's my rights. When feminists systematically create and push laws which undermine my rights as a citizen then, yes, I will fight against such behavior. Trying to get rid of bias? Why is it acceptable for feminists to use coercive measures but not for others? And before you start I just have to say, "yes", legal coercion is no different from physical coercion because, as everyone knows, behind every law is a cop with a gun.

Feminism is getting a bad rep. because it's evolving into misandry. Why do we still need active feminists? What is there left to fight for?

There's nothing to fight for anymore, that's the problem. So many radical feminists are behaving like Vietnam vets; they're still looking for Charlie in the trees. One of the more disturbing trends I've noticed about feminist behavior is their fixation on the past. They seem to believe that the wrongs of the past "entitle" them to carry out acts of discrimination against men. How can these people, men and women, not expect their actions to be identified as unconstitutional?

i don't wanna be too rough on the boys either...i have to admit that a lot of women and feminists annoy the holy-hell out of me too. i get along more with guys than i do with girls/women, even though when the feminist comments come on, its often throat ripping bad with them. the only thing that relates me to most women is the common anger of being a girl (if they feel any). anyways, not just cuz ure feminist, i will like you, much less ALL of you, but i will connect..

ps: feminism isnt sexist. it is about creating self-respect and a solid autonomous self-identity. it is about empowering the caregiver, empowering and un-demonizing dependency in a highly individualist society. Feminists DON"T seek the erradication of men, or male-identity. Just the part that are destructive to living beingsbeings (a lot of the same destructive qualitites are in women too and feminists are against that/them too)
melitic 5 years ago
All of which are noble aims, but you must examine the ACTIONS of feminists to understand them completely. They do not push for equal treatment of the sexes, the push favoritism. The argument of "oppression" in contemporary society is completely unfounded. In your opinion, how would you say women are oppressed in today's society?
istoute 5 years ago
Good question. I;ve stuggled with this question for a long time: "what is oppression" its especially hard to pinpoint it in today's society. Generally i say its highly subjective. i guess when you feel it in your soul then you talk to others and they say they feel the exact same - then you have somethign to start basing it on: institutionally established one-sided privilege and inequality.
melitic 5 years ago
If "oppression" is so rare that you have to go looking for it, this should tell you something. Furthermore, your criteria describe attitudes rather than oppression. Subjectivity is certainly NOT a valid option for critical analysis. Subjectivity opens a whole variety of sophist arguements. The entire patriarchy, and the oppression of women, was a subjective matter. I doubt you want to open that door. Feeling oppressed and being oppressed are two separate things.
istoute 5 years ago
As it stands there are areas in modern society where men are discriminated against, namely the family courts. I've listened to the complaints and grievances of men in Canada and I'm appauled. Look at how DV shelters turn away men, how DV studies systematically ignore or undermine the pain of men. There are very real biases out there and radical feminists are to blame. P.S.- Would you like me to send you that paper I wrote? I promise not to send viruses or anthing lame like that. :)
istoute 5 years ago
Now its unconceivable- except when you think in fundamentalist or desperate philosophies that squeeze life out of people in guise of "order" and "control" of society. Pure bullshit. I dotn trust anyone who is too self-centered to see value in feminism or equality or self-respect.
melitic 5 years ago
If anyone's self-centered it's feminists. They never listen to the accounts of those who dissent to their views, whether their beliefs are based on fact or not. Your stance is a perfect example of why I am against feminists. If you want, send me your e-mail address and I'll send you a paper I've written explaining in detail the reasons I oppose feminism.
istoute 5 years ago
well its the same as saying "why don't accusers of racism ever want to discuss the value of racism?" cuz its there its strong...you can argue it as any other object.... but women are asked to bear this weight al the time. as if just because we know slavery was so obviously wrong, that when we can't "see it" as easily (as in color) it suddenly becomes less justified. fuck you!
melitic 5 years ago
sorry i mean you "CAN"T argue it (racism) as you woudl any other object" instead of CAN
melitic 5 years ago
people are affraid of feminism just like people give up their rights or are affraid of standing up for themselves and their values when there is threat. Only the strong willed can sustain "feminism" and insight others to do it also. Consider that when the movement first started, 75% of women were against votes for women and actively pushed the women petitioners out of their houses (undoubtedly under the watchful eye of husband-daddy-brother-etc).
melitic 5 years ago
The reason that I am an anti-feminist is because it's an inherently sexist philosophy. You cannot fight for equal rights when your fundamental assumption is "women are oppressed by men". Radical feminists have done everything in their power to spread misandry within our culture, prinicipally by spreading lies. The biggest turn off for me is the manner in which feminists treat dissenters. Say you're against feminism and you're automatically a misogynist.
istoute 5 years ago
what is "being against feminism"? can mean so much. i mean its obvious that if you're gonna say something like "women belong in the home" or a more hidden phrase symbolizing the same thing, you will get offended people shuttign you up.??? answer though.
melitic 5 years ago
I'm glad you made this comment. A common misconception is that being anti-feminist means your anit-equality. This notion is fallacious. I believe that men and women are equal with regards to intelligence, though there are certain distict differences, and that both sexes should have equal opportunity. However, feminism cares more about "50/50" than equal opportunity. No one is guaranteed a position or resources in a capitalist society.
istoute 5 years ago
funk, i really don't have to explain anything to you. It seems that your information sources are extremely biased against any notion of feminism as a good thing. You will come about it on your terms.
matrika777 5 years ago
For a most part, feminism is about respect. For a woman, its knowing women's role in historic events as active dynamic players; it is being aware of the past religious pagan impact. For current times, its understanding and awareness of media's exploitation and portrayal of women. Feminism is a tool to enable men and women to come closer once again; to free men from the "isms" of aggression and domination and to free women from the "isms" of docility and self-doubt.
matrika777 5 years ago
The past religious impact is Wiccan right? Its supposed history is all bunk.
"Feminism is a tool to enable men and women to come closer once again" then explain the wiritngs of the early feminists who explicitly said Marriage and the family unit must be destroyed
EarlFaulk 5 years ago
as i am possitive that no women are trapped by "isms" of aggression and domination, and no men feel any effects of docility and self doubt. Your thinking is clearly biased to universal stereotypes, the common oppressor of all society. If you truly wish equality you'll use that "awareness" to make a REAL difference instead of bitching and hoping to gain through reverse discrimination

yall people got it twisted. feminism gives women a greater freedom of choice. it not a battle b/w the male and female race.

Yes women can now pick up the phone to order a pizza or have her husband removed from the house he half owns. There is no such thing as a "male and female race."

Great video. You really hit the nail on the head with what feminism is aiming to do in my opinion. Refreshing to hear a man who isn't afraid to attribute the term 'feminist' to these beliefs, too.
kinkykiwi15 5 years ago
To a certain extent that is a good point. However what people have to realize is that with any movement there a pitfalls, and there are people who will take advantage of the empowerment the movement gives them, but not want to give up anything in return. I am a feminist who believes with right comes responsibiliy and I think most feminists do.
kinkykiwi15 5 years ago
Feminist are women who belive in social and political equality for women...however the want to gain all the benefits and none of the harms. Don't belive me, go slap a dude, then slap a women, then call the police. I guarantee that the dude is not what got you placed behind bars.

feminism is first a movement for equality for everyone (especially men & women) because we still live in machist society. Feminist is a movement that will dissapear the day being a woman won't be a sin anymore.

Radical feminism has got to be one of the most misunderstood movements ever. It means to the root, not "catrating man hater."
Thanks for asking. You rock!
demonista 5 years ago
In math or chinese linguistics maybe. But in Sociology it means a fringe part of a movement.
EarlFaulk 5 years ago
In sociology, if it's sociology of good repute, it still means to the root. Radical comes from the Latin radix, which means root. It's called basic etymology of words. Really, it's something you can find out just by looking in a damn dictionary.

Feminism is the movement for justice, especially for women. I'm a radical feminist.
Radical feminism specifically deals with the roots of patriarchy, locating it within the sexual oppression of women through sexual assault, child sexual abuse, prostitution, the pornography industry, etc. We also criticize beauty standards, racism, classism, etc.
demonista 5 years ago
Go and watch Breaking the lies-Woman the Gentler Offender. Then google Media radar for the stats to see/ignore the truth that women are the main perpetrators for child fatalities and abuse and are equally if not more violent in DV.
jbgood3 5 years ago
Who is the "Madame" controlling a brothel? Lesbians/some women watch/like porno but thats different I guess and which sex gets payed the most in porno flicks? White women live 11.5 years longer than Black men (criticise that).
jbgood3 5 years ago
But still, het men are the vast majority of consumers of both porn and of prostituted people. Most "madams" are ex- (and current) prostitutes. Many brothels are owned by men. Also, most pimps in street prostitution, stripping, ecort services, "partners" (pimps), etc are men. What's lifespan have to do with f**k anything?
demonista 5 years ago
You said feminists are against racism, classism. The fact that black men live considerably shorter lives than white women never seems to surface in feminist agenda.
jbgood3 5 years ago
In the US (I'm from Canada here) that's largely true because black men are disproportionately poor and in ghettoes, where they are exposed in street crime and gang violence. Many young black men are killed in single homicides by other young black men. Also, white men kill black men for racist reasons. Black men are in jail, on drugs, etc. at a huge rate--because of poverty, racism, the fact that white men need and want to keep them down so they can retain their privileges.
demonista 5 years ago
So this is all caused by white men, and black men keep killing each other so it's also their own fault. White men kill black men but not vice versa. While women are squeaky clean because they are victims too (even the ones living with rich white guys).
jbgood3 5 years ago
Prostitutes are selling what they have to earn a living. Men tend to do the more dirty, dangerous jobs in society, they are selling their physical strength to earn a living. Pimps are criminals who should be and are put in jail.
jbgood3 5 years ago
Ummm...being in prostitution is EXTREMELY dangerous. Prostitutes are the most raped group of people ever--atleast 60% have been raped in prostitution. Most women in it who have been raped have been raped numerous times. About 80% have been sexually abused as children. Over half enter prostitution before the age of 16. About 80% of prostitution is pimp controlled. Over 2/3 have PTSD.
demonista 5 years ago
28/29 work related deaths are male. If you include the prison population men are raped more often than women. You mean that prostitutes are raped because the John Doe hasn't got permission to have sex with them ie. payed?
jbgood3 5 years ago
Journal of Family Psychology
2006, Vol. 20, No. 1, 137--142 In this survey of violence in the family participants were asked if they were "forced into sex" within the last year. 0.6% of men said yes and 0.7% of women said yes. Feminists would call that rape unless of course it happens to a male!
jbgood3 5 years ago
Maybe women abuse children physically and neglect children more than men because 1) in 90% of single parent families, it's a mom on her own, so there is no dad to blame and 2) in two parent families, women still do most of the child rearing and spent more time with kids than do dads. So if women are the main caretakers and spend most of the day with their kids, it makes perfect sense that they'd be the majority of physical abusers.
demonista 5 years ago
So why do videos and commercials for charities and feminist organisations tend to depict males as the main culprits. Surely this shifts the blame away from the main perpetrators.
jbgood3 5 years ago
The main abusers of women and children are men, especially when you focus on sexual abuse. My comment was a hypothetical one that worked on the assumption that your stats were correct. Also, over 90% of sex abusers and rapists are men. About 86% of serial killers are white men. MEN ARE THE MAIN PERPETRATORS.
demonista 5 years ago
It's logical that the main abusers of women would be male followed by other women and vice versa. However the main abusers or children are female 58.8% then male 42.2%. Child fatality perpetrators 30.5% mother alone 18.2% father alone. Google mediaradar.
jbgood3 5 years ago
he majority of serial killers are psychopaths, the majority of psychopaths are not killers. The condition is not gender specific. Google Dr. Robert Hare. The majority of US males are white. The majority of men are not pschopaths, serial killers, rapists , sex abusers etc. 98% of US males have not been convicted of any crimes I have read. Feminists seem to see men as the enemy.
jbgood3 5 years ago
2004 U. S. Department of Education report "Educator Sexual Misconduct: A Synthesis of Existing Literature" cites two large sample surveys in which students report that 43% of their molesters were female sexual predators. The Canadian Children's Rights Council This second group estimates that 25% of sexual predators are female but also cite studies where the female predator rates range from 1% to 82% with six studies reporting female predator rates over 50%.
jbgood3 5 years ago
Destruction of the nuclear family is part of the feminist agenda and they are doing a good job of it and blaming absent fathers for the consequences. It's the kids that suffer.
jbgood3 5 years ago
Also, then how in hell do you explain over 90% of pedophiles and rapists being male? Even only 15-20% of the sex abusers of boys are women.
And how come, according to Statistics Canada (I'm Canadian) have nearly 30% of ever married women been assaulted physically or sexually by their husbands?
demonista 5 years ago
Morse, B. J. For each survey year the prevalence rates of any violence and severe violence were significantly higher for female to male than for male to female
jbgood3 5 years ago
It's over a decade old. I have stats from the 21 century.
I'm not familiar with this particular study, but I know that others of it's ilk have serious methodology problems. For example, Levi-Strauss's cateogries of violence include a woman throwing a pillow at a man to be the same level of violence as a man attacking a woman with a knife.
demonista 5 years ago
So DV has only occured after 1995? Being forced into sex is rape for a women but not for a man. Arguing with your wife is classified as being DV by feminists.
jbgood3 5 years ago
jbgood Your wasting your time trying to argue femstats with a feminist. 90% plus 15 equals 105% and 110% with the other figure. Doesnt make sense. And Im the one who needs to learn!
EarlFaulk 5 years ago
I really need to stop wasting my time with you antifeminists, so this is probably my last comment.
Women are 15-20% of the sexual abusers of boys, 0-6% of the sexual abusers of girls, and from 1-10% of rapists. That averages out to being less than 10%. So it's not 90+15 or 20, it's 80 or 85 + 15 or 20. For the love of dog, y'all.

Sex abusers of boys who are women are paedophiles. Your statistics don't add up.
jbgood3 5 years ago
Umm, yes they do. Girls are more than twice as likely as boys to be sexually abused. About 95% of the sex abusers of girls are male, about 85% of the sex abusers of boys are male. Of course it adds up.
demonista 5 years ago
If you refer to the surveys and sites I have pointed out earlier you will find that acts of violence occur both ways but feminists choose to ignore assaults by wives on their husbands. Google Dr. Martin S. Fiebert. I'm glad you acknowledge that there are female paedophiles.

Feminism propagates a series of myths ie. the 71 cent myth,DV figures that ignore the fact that men and their children suffer more from female violence than vice versa. The 1 in 4 rape myth. It recieves government funds in exchange for the feminist vote.
jbgood3 5 years ago
I would really like to see some evidence that any of that is myths, any links? the 71 cent thing has been changed as each years stats come out, and its true that within a business men and women usually make more similar amounts, but on the whole it is still rather skewed. i dont think domestic violence towards anyone should be allowed and feminists (the ones i know) certainly address that... 1/5 nationally 1/4-1/3 nationally on college campuses.
Mayorofmetrocity 5 years ago
Google mediaradar for DV stats. Try CNN The 76 cent myth. Try Mens-links for more info.
jbgood3 5 years ago
Im not sure any of those effectively counter argue feminist statements, for instance the group i work with works against DV for both, recognizing that its a human issue. The 76 cent myth, like I said before is changed, and is only meant to discuss inequality -it implies discrimination across the field, in all institutions effectively implying that there are socialized differences, rather than simple wage gap bias, but the uninfromed may see it differently.
Mayorofmetrocity 5 years ago
(and that is a problem) perhaps more people need to look into sociology and statistical methods, or actual feminist works. Perhaps feminists (like all scholars and activists) need to make sure they are critical of their own work for bias.
Mayorofmetrocity 5 years ago
Hard nosed businesses will not pay a dollar for something they can get for 76cents. Have a look at all the DV videos on this sight and see how many mention female perpetrators and their victims. They are largely ignored. Search for the Bullbusters video and Women The Gentler Offender for the other side of the coin.
jbgood3 5 years ago
Have a look at liar femnag statistics which trumpet 1 in 4 women have been raped every 2 seconds. That would mean there are 75 million rapists in the last 30 years. With only 2 million men in prison, 75% in prison for drugs, the other 23 % for stealing, that leaves like 2% for other!
Feminists are liars and scum! There is nothing good in them! Well their leaders for that matter!
Verlch 5 years ago
Feminism drives a wedge between the sexes, it calls for destruction of the nuclear family, (and is being succesful). It labels millenia of progress under what it calls patriarchy as oppression. Go figure!
jbgood3 5 years ago
But men and women are not equal, physically, mentally, emotionaly, and in every other way.
Our basic chemical structure isn't even the same. I don't think it should be equal either. Yes we should all be alloud to do the same things like vote and shop and other normal stuff.
All of this equality BS that started in the 60s has tunrned the world what it is today. 60% of all households are ran by single mothers. 80% of all marriges the breadwinner is the woman.
Its all just propaganda.
shellobello 5 years ago
Our basic chemical structure isn't the same?? Might want to brush up on your science skills.
Blaming women for men deserting their families is pretty twisted. If you mean that if women would just shut up and know their "place" than men would stay...how sad for a man to not be strong enough emotionally or mentally to be able to love a equal partner instead of doormat.
jilloveoli 5 years ago
Blaming women for men deserting their families (i.e. the husband getting kicked out after wifey discovers she's no longer in love with him and instead loves the bad boy she met at the bar last week) isn't nearly as twisted as blaming men for women mutilating and/or murdering their own children.
EarlFaulk 5 years ago
It's proven that women stop have sex after a child. After they get what they want. Yet they will spend, on average 2 hours a day rumaging through his personal affairs in case he is cheating! If the wife put out she wouldn't have to worry!
They women leave 85% of marriages, they initie divorce proceedings!
Most men do not want to pay child support and alimony to our supposed equals!
If women are so independent, than why do they need our money.
Verlch 5 years ago
actually RADCIAL feminist encouraged equality despite difference. that means science and other studies should account for biological and other differnces, but not let it be a reason for inequality. as you know sceince has a nasty history of racial antrhopology and measuring women's brains and claiming they are as intelligent as children. So propaganda is necessary to at least ensure, scientific men and science itself get out of the "privielged, manly" bias...
melitic 5 years ago

(I don't actually have a child).
nonlinearnonfiction 5 years ago
I tend to be somewhere in the middle on this issue and rather than call myself a feminist I prefer to think of myself as an individualist - every one must be encouraged to think for themself and be allowed to act on that free will. if a woman wants to be a 'stay-at-home' parent she should be allowed to without fear of criticism but then so should a man.
