Jesus said marriage is ordained by God to be between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:21-24; Matthew 19:4-6). Sexual intercourse outside of marriage is Fornication which is a sin. No need to judge because the bible already judges you.
@22APL there are a lot of things that anyone would say are surreal while reading the Bible. it has to be read but there's a way how you should read it.God is Love, and He loves us as His sons... but there are a lot of things we could talk about... what God wanted us to learn is to love and respect each other, even more if the one we should love is a sinner... but LOVE is never a sin... and last but not least is that He will judge us...
@evildogheretic My main point is this, the next time you see a Christian lose it on someone or tell them God doesn't love them because they are Gay, a Jedi, a Lesbian, Black, Jewish, Transgender, poor, wealthy, drug addict, or any pervasive reason understand it is not religion talking it's the person and that person is only a person not god. Just how I feel as a gay man.
@1HudsonChristopher THANK YOU!! I don't remember anywhere in the Bible saying to hate ANYBODY! The Bible clearly states to love one another, if it's a sin, then that's God's job. Nowhere does it state to hate, or judge anyone. Our jobs as God's children is to "love thy neighbor".
@evildogheretic If that's what you chose to believe fair enough :) However, considering that there's no word in ancient hebrew for homosexual which is the language the bible was original written I think it's pretty hard for it to be spoken about in the bible in the first place :)
@iamthegame09 i guess so, but for thousands of years before Christian and Jewish people saw homosexuality as a sin, stoning and execution was commonplace if you got caught. And they all said "were doing the right thing, this is what god wants", its a bit a coincidence that religion would except homosexuality, just as became socially acceptable?,no i think it was more or less a thing of "oh crap people aren't gonna like us for hating on gays we better have another epiphany that'll sort it out"
@iamthegame09 So yeah im atheist so if your gay i have no problem, it just upsets me when i see the homosexual community putting their faith in a faction who hated them for thousands of years (and probably still do)
@evildogheretic I understand exactly how you feel :) It may say catholic on my birth cert but I certainly don't identify with that church :) Although i've no proof that God exists or not I just have a VERY difficult time believing in the bible. It's too contradictory and I also have a difficult time believing in a faction who can't admit that they may in the wrong :) Faith helps me sometimes but the church just percecutes too many people :(
