That setup you are using with the mash hook plate adapter, instead of installing that D-ring couldn't you just clip the HK hook to the mash hook? It seems that would make the one point sling without all the extra trouble of modifying it.
That is an option, but by clipping the HK hook into the Mash Hook, you loose the capability to quick disconnect the sling in the single point configuration and keep the sling on. This would be for a situation where you're setting down your weapon all the time, like at a multi-day course, etc...
I really like what you did! What exactly were your modifications? Also what end plate did you use? Is it a QD, Magpul ASAP,etc.?

haha..are those live rounds or just empty shell casings? Either way this guy means business if he's using a hot weapon for a demo.
