@GenesisSanctuary true , that may be the case , but Electrification is the future , Diesels are the past except in rural areas....and on low used lines.....
@Nexis4Jersey You are so wrong. Electric engines are cool, but thwey break down far more often than diesels. Besides, they are far too expensive. There is no way in hell anyone would want to spend an unspeakable amount of money just to electrify everything.
@GenesisSanctuary They wouldn't cost so much , if we had more plants over here to make them , EMU don't cost that much.....as for Diesels what happens when the fuel goes up.....hahaha, not so great eh...
@Nexis4Jersey First off, setting up catenaries does cost a ton of money that the country can't afford to waste. Second, even assuming they DID, which they won't, all of the railroads would have to start shelling out money to actually have electric locomotives built for them.
@GenesisSanctuary Calm Down already , sheesh getting angry over this .......Eventually everything will be electric , maybe not now , but in 10-20 years theres no escaping the higher fuel costs.....
@Nexis4Jersey Hold on, who said I was getting angry? I'm simply stating facts. Just because you don't like diesels doesn't mean that they should all be killed off and replaced with electrics.
@GenesisSanctuary it kinda seemed like you were , in any event what i say usually happens. It may not happen this decade but it will happen during over lifetime.
@Nexis4Jersey On NJT, yes probably soon, but MBTA has many F40's that look and sound good. Metra had some good ones, too, but they will soon be all gone. I don't know much about Amtrak's former F40's, but they didn't seem bad. NJT, bad. It's just a little change from them PL42's all the time.
@Nexis4Jersey: I don't! Beautiful looking Engines and the exhaust coming out looks so cool!!! Since you don't like dirty trains, I guess your not a big fan of steam engines lol! :)
Great vid! Gotta love the F40s, although I honestly cannot stand 4114.

@GenesisSanctuary its so dirty and is smelly....

@Nexis4Jersey I'll admit that dieseld cans be smelly, but they really aren't dirty. Besides, diesels are awesome.

@GenesisSanctuary The New Diesels are nice , but these 40 year old ones gotta go...

@Nexis4Jersey Man, you don't realyze how many people will dislkie you for saying that. Alot of the new diesels don't hold a candle to the old ones.

Cool, an F40. Get a little tired of seeing PL42AC's all the time.

@Nexis4Jersey Pardon me for asking, but how can you not like dirty trains such as an F40, but still like steamers? They're like 50x dirtier.

@boberttrain831 Steamers are different , i personally only like Light Rail and Electric Trains aka the Electric lines....
