It kills it FAR to much, It should also be adjustable. Plus the DDM4000 by behringer will dip the audio automatically. The single most annoying thing about pioneer mixers to me.
nice review, one problem is it me or just HE KEEP SAYING..."we brought this over from the djm-800"??? as far as i know these boys had f*** all to do with the engineering and design. nice neuro linguistic programming try though boys...
"nice neuro linguistic programming try though boys... "
wtf??? you must be a right bell-end! Rik Parkinson is Pioneer's product promotion representative, and im sure he had quite a LOT to do with the design of this mixer, as it is HE who meets DJs every week and gets feedback on what people like to see in Pioneer's products. Hows that for neuro linguistics?
WARNING!!!!WHOEVER BUYS THIS MIXER SHOULD GO TO THE SHOP THAT SELLS IT,AND TAKE ALONG THERE LAPTOP,MIDI INTERFACE,AND HOOK IT ALL UP TO YOUR SOFTWARE OF CHOICE,ie ABLETON.
THERE HAVE BEEN MIDI ISSUES WITH THIS UNIT.
!!!!TRUST ME IM ON MY SECOND !!!!!!!!!!!!!
PIONEER HAVE TAKEN IT OFF THERE PRODJ WEB SITE.!!!!YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!!!!!!!
the BIGGEST difference between the 700 and the 800 is that u'll notice the 700 does not have separate filters on each channel(below the EQ's on an 800) but u can assign the filter to one channel...this is the only major difference and to be honest its not that big a deal when it comes to mixing..this is just like a quality 800 but for a cheaper price...i think pioneer have a winner here lads...
Hi Rik, Thanks for your great reviews. Can you please tell me what the big differences between this and DJM800 really is. What makes the DJM800 justice to its more expensive price compared to this mixer? Both do sound awesome to me though, but i would really like to hear your opinion.
lol i love it how they go on about bit depth in there gear , mate normal cds come out at 16 bit , so im fair sure that good enough for the masses.

hey guys,
if i understand this video right, i'll be able to use the roll effect as sampler... is this right?
huefte87 2 years ago
yes, you're correct, but you can't store those samples. you sample turning on the effect and loose that sample when you turn it off

The buttoms on the CDJ-800mk2 doesn't look like the standards. These look a bit darker. Is it buttoms from the CDJ-1000? Is it the same size?
Raun89 3 years ago
it's because it's a cdj-800mk1 :P

HOW EASY WOULD IT BE TO USE WITH ABLETON
jaakin333 3 years ago
you need a MIDI interface (which we'll give you buy the mixer from us!) then you just assign the controls on the mixer to the functions on Ableton.
westendDJ 3 years ago
Throw in a MIDI interface for nout? I'll take you up on that!!!

The main differences are that the DJM800 has the 'color' effects section including the harmonic mixing as well as digital inputs. - West End
westendDJ 4 years ago
its got everything i need from the 800, plus the freq filter is very nice
