It is in John 16:7 that Jesus(p.b.u.h) speaks about the comfortor who would come after he departs. The holy spirit was already there when Jesus(p.b.u.h) spoke about the comfortor.

In I Peter 1:3 the Bible says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope....." The word begotten is also used here. God can beget us unto lively hope. Does the word "begotten" here mean conception? No. It is a form of expression. This word means "gave rise to" or "brought".

I think these guys are incredibly patient and should be commended for their patience and ministry to Muslims who obviously can't be bothered sitting down, reading John's gospel and allowing it to speak for itself. @thelordglorified We do believe Jesus(p.b.u.h) is the Christ. What we deny is the phrase "begotten" which amounts to blasphemy to God since HE neither begets nor is begotten. Do you know the term "begotten" has been removed from all the gospels in the revised standard version by the eminent scholars of the Bible. Romans A-V {8:14} "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."
In the language of Jews a godly person is termed as a son of God,metaphorically. erally.

It is in John 16:7 that Jesus(p.b.u.h) speaks about the comfortor who would come after he departs. The holy spirit was already there when Jesus(p.b.u.h) spoke about the comfortor.

@shahin3541 The Holy spirit always was there, in the beginning before man was created, Holy Sirit is God too. Sending the spirit from Jesus to his followers, is to have the spirit dwell in his followers, something that Islam does not have. Spirit of God is omnipresent before Mohamad was born. jesus promised acts 1, that the spirit would come upon hios followers in a few days after his resurection, not 600 years later, so please keep Mohamad in his place.

Matthew 15;9 was a quote from the OT, as most of Jesus' quotes are from the OT, so the people would understand him better.
God is spirit, and worshippers must worship him in spirit, well that leaves the Muslims out, they cannot worship God, because they do not have the spirit. God the son is subject unto God the Father, and as a man Jesus humbled himnself, and gave us the example of a perfect life, servant of God. In I Peter 1:3 the Bible says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope....." The word begotten is also used here. God can beget us unto lively hope. Does the word "begotten" here mean conception? No. It is a form of expression. This word means "gave rise to" or "brought".

@thelordglorified Its not just about BEGOTTEN, There are othercorrections as well. Anyway, there are 20 attributes about God in the Bible out of which I am mentioning two here - God is all knowing(Hebrews 4:13;John 3:19-20) and God is self-sufficient(Exodus3:13-14;Psalm50:10-12;Colossians1:16).
If you are sure Jesus(p.b.u.h) is equipped with the said two Godly attributes as per the Bible itself I am ready to accept Jesus(p.b.u.h) as God instead of messenger of God. Just tell me if you are sure.

Further, in John 17:21 Jesus(pbuh) speaks about his disciples, "...that they also may be one in Us:.." which means he spoke over the oneness of purpose and not entity. It is quite clear from this verse that metaphorically we all who are guided by the spirit of God are the sons of God. Jesus(p.b.u.h) from his mouth never said that God is only his father. @shahin3541 If you were to gain access into heaven like the Quran says by your own works, then you can glory in the presence of God, because you earned heaven, and Allah was obligated to let you in, you can boast in heaven in front of Allah and his angels. But the Bible says, that we are saved by grace and not by our works, lest any man should boast. That no flesh can glory in the presence of God. Good luck in boasting in front of Allah, that you're works are good enough.

@thelordglorified Whatever we do we cannot bargain the heaven with Allah by dint of our sheer deeds. It is only with the grace and mercy of Allah that we could be blessed with paradise. In terms of bargain our deeds can never match the bounties of the paradise. We too believe we could be saved by the grace of Almighty Allah. But we don't merge Allah into creation since, logically, every creation is subject to a creator and there is no creator of Allah.
