  • its just harder to be this flexible after your body is fully developed and your no longer growing. i use to be able to do this but not practicing for a couple of years and finally stopped growing, im nowhere near a back bend

  • Clearly, you're good at this, but I think I have a helpful suggestion. If you keep your knees straight forward instead of out to the side, it should make it a bit easier on your back.

I try to become more flexible in my back too, but I´m very careful so progress is slow. That thing you do where you lie on your chest looks painful. Well done for being able to do that.

  • dude, that looks painful...you should take those socks off, looks like you could slip and fall the wrong way. Wish I could bend like that, would make doing backs flips so much easier

  • i think it mainly depends on your skill. a male who does gymnastics would definitely b more flexible than a woman who does soccer.... if it were opposite then the woman would b most flexible. and others are born flexible, (my friend brooke) :op

  • kind of... they are both equally flexible, just that men tend to have heavier/more muscle... so in a way, it does make it more difficult

  • no, both male and female are equally flexible. However it is true that females are easily felixble than males makes their Cartilage are softer than males, but it has nothing to do with bones or muscles

  • You should try stretching your upper back as well, since you're mostly doing the lower back. It also seems like your forcing to go down on the chest bridge...or whatever it's called...I guess do other back stretches besides bridges.
