Try to disconnect 4-pin cable someware around CPU (2-yellow, 2-black wire), and then try turn on your PC, if fans spining then your motherboard is dead :(.Buy new motherboard. im having the same problem :(. sorry on bad englihs :D
im having the same problem, and i installed a new graphics card also. It worked well for id say 10 months and now its having problems, u think its still the psu or something else?
Ok first check the Psu and check how much power it gives out. Also check out wat brand it is. Then check out how much power ur video card needs. If you want just gimme ur video card nd ill find out for you.
some pc's come with a cheap psu. to now the difference between gud and bad psu is to feel how heavy it is. a real expensive psu will b HEAVY! a cheap 1 will b light. the more wattage the more weight. tell me how it goes..
@ostiksoccer the graphics card is radeon HD 5770; and i checked the box and it recommends 450 W or greater but i think the psu (normal one that just came with my acer set up 2 yrs ago) doesnt give enough watts. It worked for 10 months though? idk it would be great if u have any advice. I will take it to a computer next week to see what the problem is or pick up new compents i will need.
You psu probably just had around 450watts. since the video card isnt the only thing that needs the power, ur psu broke down. or maybe the psu is cheap but has like 500w which is bad and thats why it worked for those 10 moths. if u want to check the psu by itself take out the video card nd turn on the pc. if it turns on, then ur psu is fine. if it doesnt that means that ur psu is dead and youll need a new good one.
dude at the end of your video card there is an 6pin power connector.. connect that with the corresponding cable provided with the Graphic card.. you will find it with the accessories given with the card..
Try changing your Power Supply to a max of 450w to 500w on a high quality brand..
You need to have the 6pin connector connected from the videocard to the powersupply, i dont think the power supply has a 6pin connector so you should use the 6pin to molex (transparent white 4pin connectors) adapter. BUT, I recommend you get a new powersupply because the one you have now doesnt look like it can power the computer with the videocard installed. Your powersupply should have at LEAST 450 watts power.
No, I have radeon graphics 2 Gb and 4 core and 4 Gb of memory in it)

I would think it might be the motherboard,
you could try getting it tested at a best buy or whoever works in your area.
Good luck.
