You go around a monitor and in PS without looking at the mouse, so why would a tablet be so unnatural? IF you need to just straight draw and simply do not get the feel for intuos and have alot fo extra cash then yah invest in a cintuo but onyl if you are serious. Personally a 9x12 intuos is more the style I am looking for. The pen has tracking with the cursor so you are not flying blind either. You still se where your stylus is pointing.

FINALLY SOMEONE ANSWERED MY FREAKIN QUESTION. The difference between the intuos3 9 X 12 and the Cintiq 12X. One is a direct screen and the other is having to keep your eyes glued to the monitor. I'd rather have the direct screen. Although it would be nice to have the 9 X 12 I can see myself getting frustrated with the "akwardness" of having to stray from my conventional ways of drawing for the past 27 years. I guess I'll have to save up for the cintiq 12X :-(

When you put the pen to the tablet your cursor shows up on the screen. Granted it is alot different than a mouse in the regards that if you pick it up and place it at another point on the tablet, the cursor will jump right to that point in relevance to your screen, rather than continue where it left off such as a mouse would. The first couple times using it, it can be a bit confusing and frustrating but you get used to it over time.

When your pen is hovering above the pad you see a circlular shape going across your screen as you move, showing the spot you would select if you were to then tough the pad. Basically hovering above the tablet acts as your pointer, while touching the tablet acts as your left click in a sense.

Can cost from 75 up to 3000 dollars. Visit the wacom website to find out more. I have the tablet Wacom Intuos 6x8 inch tablet. It cost 300 dollars on Amazon dot com. Dont pick a large tablet because large doesnt necessarily mean better. Because the pad is relative to the screen, you dont want to be moving your arm too much to get to the other side of the screen. I don't know about the Cintiq'a, but the graphire 4s are a lot cheaper in Korea than they are in Canada, I would imagine the cintiqs are cheaper as well.
