I remember seeing this, Ben and Pete weren't close off set so I suppose he never really got to know about his problems, also, I think Ben was far overshadowed by Peters talent. I still think it was accidental suicide, he had been drinking heavily etc and had a habit of playing with the gun - pointing it at his head etc, if there hadn't been a gun he would still be with us today. Such a shame, lovely, kind man lost so young. I do find Ben to be very reclusive & a bit of a misery, sorry for him.

somewhere in the internet, I read that Pete's death was an accident, he was cleaning his gun. Ben and Pete were close friends :)

Pete shot himself on December 31, 1971. He was not sober at the time. His death was ruled suicide. He was only 31. you can read abt his death on ASJ Collection

Oh God, I will NEVER get over Pete. I was 15 and SO in love with BOTH of them (will ALWAYS be). Great to see Ben who still is one very attractive sexy man! And to hear him talk about Pete. You can just see and hear the real emotion & love in his voice after all these years (just like US) for Pete. Awesome! Wish you had more of this though. If so, hope you post soon. THANKS!
