Therefore the things we hear and are told by the Bible about Christ dying is true-we know he did roam the earth-science even found that. But yes the faith is definitely where the religion comes in. I appreciate you speaking out about religious views-somewhat, cause its important. I myself am a Christian and am serving on a music ministry team-as the drummer. I too am not saying you or I am right or wrong in what we believe, but the part that confuses me, is that you said "if you believe, it means that you don't really know, do you?" (1:19)...
@rgrinham33 I think she meant if you have faith, then you don't really know. If you/ we truly knew, then it wouldn't be a matter of faith, but a matter of fact. So, believe what makes you happy, but be aware that the veracity beliefs is unconfirmed, therefore don't quarrel with people who don't share your beliefs or hold other beliefs that may seem dubious to you. Afterall, it is almost certain that all of humanities different religious beliefs are completely and utterly wrong.

Hey Meytal, just a regular dude and fellow drummer here who thinks this video is really honest and unpretentious which I think is pretty refreshing and sincere. And you tore it up playing Tool's Aenima which anybody will tell you is a difficult feat so that was awesome....keep kickin ass, drums are life!!!!

I'm 16 years old, i'm going onto my junior year of high school and my belief is that you should be the teacher for all of my classes. i learned more in that 5 minute video than i did my entire sophmore year (well kinda :P), so thanks :) Your videos are very inspiring and i hope to be as good as you someday. well....everyone has a point with this...religion is an extremely touchy subject. i have been raised in church all my life so i believe in God, Jesus, heaven, hell and the devil. so the new age thing is not something i go for. more or less that is what meytal is talking about. i'm kinda of surprised, but with tool being a favorite band of hers i guess it shouldnt be surprising. i don't agree with you meytal, but i still love you and you are still one of the reasons i get on youtube everyday!! rs
I'm like you in that I'm more universal in thought about something greater than ourselves even if it's not in our own image. I think Jesus was real. So was Buddha & Gandhi. Even Dr. King had a similar message. Love, peace, understanding, compassion, harmony, balance, etc.. You get the picture! :)

I was born and raised a Catholic, but once I became old enough I stopped going to church, I still pray once and a while but I dont push my beliefs on others as I do not want them to push it on me. I'm an atheist. I was raised a Catholic, but when I was 14 years old, I came to believe that God is man-made, a concept born at a time when people did not know enough about the world around them and, as humans do, they wanted to explain why everything is how it is. That IMO is why there are so many religions. So many people, so many different views, therefore so many different gods. But, as you say, it's what I "believe", which means I'm not "sure", which is totally right. I'm not sure at all.

The problem with religion is that so many believers all think that their God is better than the God the other believers worship. There is not a single rational reason to believe in any definition of a "God". You don't need him to be happy or moral. There is no reason to praise Jesus or glorify some kind of divine being. If you want the truth, then religion is not where you will find it.

I don't want to be acting like I'm okay with these odd beliefs that people come up with. If I'm going to admire someone, I want to be able to respect them. This prevents me from doing that.

I'm 16 years old, i'm going onto my junior year of high school and my belief is that you should be the teacher for all of my classes. i learned more in that 5 minute video than i did my entire sophmore year (well kinda :P), so thanks :) Your videos are very inspiring and i hope to be as good as you someday. well....everyone has a point with this...religion is an extremely touchy subject. i have been raised in church all my life so i believe in God, Jesus, heaven, hell and the devil. so the new age thing is not something i go for. more or less that is what meytal is talking about. i'm kinda of surprised, but with tool being a favorite band of hers i guess it shouldnt be surprising. i don't agree with you meytal, but i still love you and you are still one of the reasons i get on youtube everyday!! rs

I'm like you in that I'm more universal in thought about something greater than ourselves even if it's not in our own image. I think Jesus was real. So was Buddha & Gandhi. Even Dr. King had a similar message. Love, peace, understanding, compassion, harmony, balance, etc.. You get the picture! :)

All I noticed so far is that so called "faith" or "religion" made people kill each other more than it made them live together, and if the main purpose of each "faith" is belief in God, than God is not happy with us at all.

Wow, I believe in God and am a real christian, but what you said about all of us being Gods and Godesses, I have also had this thought. I've thought maybe I'm God. But that thought is thrown out by what I believe. You have some great pointers on that. To be honest, I think I worry too much, it's just so hard to understand. I hate being labled. I was born and raised a Catholic, but once I became old enough I stopped going to church, I still pray once and a while but I dont push my beliefs on others as I do not want them to push it on me. Even though I was rasied a Catholic I do not beleive in that religion, I truely believe that religions are bad. All you need is faith in your beliefs, why do we need to say we can only pray at this special building where some pedofile says what can pray too. but thats just me, if you disagree thats ok.

I'm an atheist. I was raised a Catholic, but when I was 14 years old, I came to believe that God is man-made, a concept born at a time when people did not know enough about the world around them and, as humans do, they wanted to explain why everything is how it is. That IMO is why there are so many religions. So many people, so many different views, therefore so many different gods. But, as you say, it's what I "believe", which means I'm not "sure", which is totally right. I'm not sure at all.

Well said, Meytall. I think religion is invented to explain the inexplicable. The problem with religion is that so many believers all think that their God is better than the God the other believers worship. Just live your life as a good person that cares about other people, the environment and respect everything else that is living. Only then in my view you would earn your place in heaven if you believe in that.

There is not a single rational reason to believe in any definition of a "God". You don't need him to be happy or moral. There is no reason to praise Jesus or glorify some kind of divine being. If you want the truth, then religion is not where you will find it.
