Those saying this is not a longbow are actualy wrong by definition. The true definition of a longbow by medieval standards by length is any bow over 4 feet. Some might argue 5 feet. The bow must be able to be drawn to point on the face or body.
This looks like a longbow to me, though obviously not a traditional bow. A very nice bow it is too.
It's a reflex deflex bow still a long bow I think lol but very nice job I bet it's very fast the reflex deflex makes it shoot faster and smoother without the bow stacking lbs on the draw as bad also it has very little hand shock it's what I shoot now from rudder bow
@MrHickerynut7 If it doesnt reach or exceed the archer's height, I dont consider it a longbow. Bow classification isnt as simple as compound/olympic recurve/longbow as some people mistakenly believe. Often times they use elements of different types, such as this one. Though to be honest, I cant quite tell if its been recurved or reflexed. The tips sharply bend away, but the entire limbs also bend so maybe its both (recurved and reflexed) as well as having deflex...but not quite a longbow.
Rhe new definition of traditional bows is not a compound bow. Kind of sad if you ask me. OH and this is a reflex deflex bow.
