  • He kills the wolves in the Avatar movie, and they are not so fluffy? Though admittedly they meet over wolves both times? There is also a subtle connection between the Underworld movie and Dances with Wolves.

  • I guess you can learn two things from the internet.

#1: You can't seem to appreciate two different movies because they have similarities.

    #2: People will always complain.

  • don't forget about unobtainium..

  • At 0:34 haha well actually they're close =)

  • Avatar is "Dances With Wolves" meets "Fern Gully: The Last Rainforest".

  • Great spoof. Avatar was awful. I love it the ending it says written and directed by james cameron. What it should have said was plagiarized by james cameron.

  • Ron Paul!!

  • @K4inan Of course the native americans had slaves. Watch apocalypto to get an idea what kind of society it was. You know how black slaves got to america? They were sold by other black people. You know whn ended slavery? The western countries.

  • At least in Dances With Wolves they had the decency to point out that the Indians were not noble at all. They butchered one another and were capable of incredible cruelty. The only thing that limited them was the lack of arms. Give the Indians machine guns and they will exterminate themselves in mutual wars. Fuck the savages.

  • @topperheartramada What a load of fucking bullshit.. The ''americans'' were the true savages, mate.

  • @K4inan How so? Were they any more brutal than the indians? No. How far would the indians have advanced? The Europeans created a wealthy, free country and sent man to the fucking Moon in just a couple of centuries. How many babies die at childbirth these days? How often do people die of starvation? How often do you die from bad teeth? How often do you have to hunt your breakfast with a fuckingbow and arrow?

  • @topperheartramada How many wars are you in at the moment? The conquistadors for example forced the mayans to tore their eyes out or cut off their hands etc. Americans went to Africa and took home slaves, something even Native Americans didn't have.. So ye, you're incredibly stupid and I wish no further contact with you.

  • I just finished watching dances with wolves and indeed the two movies are the very same...shame shame on american and white ppl, i am truly ashamed to be white, i am not american but pretty damn close. canadian

  • no avatar is a the old america for americans, and another 1964 dictators of bra sil vai indo para o halo ... but wait ... the history is another, variables are another,

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, you are not in Kansas anymore, you are in Nebraska.

  • This is well done! Put together perfectly!

  • 20th century avatar: green beret heads to south vietnam. green beret joins nva. nva win us withdrawal the end.

  • Very nicely done!

  • Its funnier when you consider both films starred Wes Studi.

  • Decide which side you're on white man.

  • I haven't seen this movie, as this movie is older than I am, but I have seen Avatar. I found Avatar a good movie. I really should check this out. Just remember, you shouldn't compare Pocahontas to Avatar as Avatar's plot was written before Pocahontas.

  • @JesusLivesinU2 the first Pocahontas movie was made in 1924, i'm pretty sure thats well before James Cameron was even born.

  • @Epimpin101 The Pocahontas real life story was made hundreds of years before the movie was made...

  • @JesusLivesinU2 "Avatar's plot was written before Pocahontas." seriously?

  • @tzDub92 Yes Avatar was written before Disney's Pocahontas cartoon.

  • @JesusLivesinU2 Pocahontas is a several hundred year old story.. Avatar was made 2009, now that's not several hundred years is it? Dumbass.

  • haha! that's creative...

  • It always makes me want to close my eyes when that soldier points his gun at Smiles A Lot :(

  • Like it.. thought about it.. but to put it down.. excellent job! (I need to upgrade my software!)

  • It is a story that needs told more and more nowadays, we need to take the world back from the corporations before it is destroyed.

  • Funny.I thought the very same thing when I saw AVATAR. :-)

  • does anyone know the song in the background?

  • avatar is a 99.99999999999999999999999999% copy from this and pocahontas,

they changed indians into gigantic blue hippies and called the new movie avatar

  • @GreedAndDoom couldnt even think up a name themselves.. they took the title and the font it was written in from a failed tv show by Nickelodeon. Fucking wonderful.

  • wow the indian actor at 0:43 who is talking is the exact same actor with the same make up, war paint, feathers and hair doo in "The Last of the Mohicans" >.< they really screwed up!

  • Dances with wolves was probably one of the best movies ever Avatar had good special effects but that doesn't make it good for examply shawshank redemtion vs any other fucking movie except godfather and dark knight

  • gaaaahhhh this is the best thing ever!!

  • Actually this would have been WAY more interesting and original

  • @7OakSouls True that, true that. :)

  • AVATAR did rip off movies, but so did the movies you all are saying it ripped off. Those movies ripped off other movies, then books and those books ripped off other books, then history/folklore. Nothing some of you are claiming AVATAR ripped off is original in the first place, everything now is ripped off of SOMETHING else. :P

  • whats the background music?

  • great work. shame most people will never be aware of such blatant plagiarism

  • Yeah Avatar is decent (not great) but rips off a lot of movies: Dances with Wolves, Atlantis (which is a ripoff of Stargate), Pocahontas, etc.

  • Who cares ?? both movies are awesome

  • Even with Costner's bland narration this movie is still better than Avatar. Because it had a plot?

  • Only one or two people "get the point" here...How sad..The dumbing down of AMERICA is working well ~

  • Look at this he basically admits he just ripped off the ideas of other movies lol,h tp://herocomplex.latimes.com/2009/08/14/james-cameron-the-new-trek-rocks-but-transformers-is-gimcrackery/

  • The storyline of the movies is damn near identical...but hey, they are both kick ass movies.

  • Exept there the Aliens win, the aborigines exterminate and their mother die. The planet ecosystem destroy beyond recovery. The invaders considered themselves a victims after encountering resistance. For local to expose themselves as equal, shifty a peace treaty and one night, seek revenge with a cunning massacre of innocents woman's and child's. Became heroes for cunning killing!

  • @jimmypoulincriket You understand perfectly well....THAT is the crucial difference. So glad to FINALLY find a FREE and DEEP THINKER HERE.

  • avatar is an awesome movie so is dances with wolves

  • 50,000 viewer BOIII!!!!!!!!

  • avatar=jurrasic park (the animals)+smurfs/blue man group+Damces with wolfs...take alot of childhood memories and blend them together and you get this

  • all movies have similar themes throughout history. They all deal with love, revenge, betrayal, and so forth. Avatar is not a ripoff get over it.

  • @SaypheZonE Avatar IS a rip-off. He literally just changed the setting and made everything blue. I've found not just common references but blatant rip-offs in over 15 movie.

  • avatar=pocahontas/dances with wolves/the last samurai

  • @ralaq

    and so?

  • @ralaq looser, all movies have similar themes. Dances With Wolves = The last of the Mohicans = Laurence of Arabia?????

  • felicitaciones!!! muy buena, me alegra que pongan las cosas en su lugar!!!!! aguante danza con lobos!!!

  • This is outstanding.

  • @TheAtlanticDan Actually James Cameron got the idea for Avatar after he watched Dances with wolves, but if Avatar is a ripoff of dances with wolves, dances with wolves is a ripoff of pocahontas and so forth. Though in my opinion Dances with wolves is without a doubt one of the best movies ever made!

  • Fuck yall haters.

  • Fantastic film, wonderful music.Great job!!!!

  • this is actually pretty funny. I love Dances with Wolves, good job!

  • Wow, that moment where Sully's talking about avatars and you have the clip of his journal with those drawings is very clever.

  • The POINT HERE IS ...WE DID IT TO IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN...because of their RICH MINERAL/OIL RESOURCES...DON'T YOU GET IT???

  • @Taharah007 yes thank you!

  • Soon i'll do a Dune parody trailer with Avatar in it with the audio from David Lynch's 1984 attempt to the trailer.

  • LOL. I don't think you people have actually seen Dances With Wolves. I mean, it's over 3 hours long. I don't think any of you have the attention span for that.

But, Avatar and DWW are very different films about two very different men. John Dunbar was not crippled from the waist down. And that's where a lot of Avatar's real story lies. Jake gets a new life with new legs.

John Dunbar was trying to find peace out on the plains of South Dakota. He was running away from silly conflicts.

  • @LukeLovesRose

I enjoy 3 hour movies especially Titanic, GWTW, Dances with Wolves, Dr. Zhavigo, King Kong by PJ, LOTR and more, i like any pace. Yes yes Avtar and DWW are different but Avatar is really like Dune if you ask me with the book from Frank Herbert and of course the 1984 David Lynch film and 2000 mini-series, rent those for similarities.

Have you seen the trailer spoof to Avatar set to the 1997 animated masterpiece Princess Mononoke? check it out since Mononoke is similar to Avatar.

  • @LukeLovesRose Dunbar nearly lost his leg to amputation. After trying to commit suicide he gets his life/leg back. It is very similar. I just got done watching DWW.

Dunbar gets a new life in the form of a new post (western frontier) from his "new leg".

You are nitpicking of minor details. You can't expect them to be word for word the same.

  • I love South Dakota.. Great places..

  • Damm good.. Pitty that things in west did not went like in Pandora.

  • @gliderpilot9999 Avatar struck me as a Native American fantasy (kind of like Inglorious Bastards was for the Holocaust).

  • This is sssoooooo sick. the movie is epic and avatar is um lets just say i would rather watch the trailar for 3 hours than the real movie. Dances with wolves however i would watch it any day

  • Dances with Wolves = EPIC!

    Avatar = EPIC FAIL!

  • Comment removed

  • @bigmistakewow Your penis size and performance is an epic fail.

  • @bigmistakewow x2, Can't believe people like that shit (Avatar).

  • @bigmistakewow really? never seen dances with wolves but avatar makes me depressed. that's how convincing and perfect that world seems

  • SO FUCKING RIGHT. Avatar was garbage.....borrowed heavily from previous movies such as this. I couldn't stop rolling my eyes during the damn movie.

  • @amartinjoe I bet women cant stop rolling their eyes when they see the size of your penis.

  • hah hah hah . . . pretty good. It's been moar land, moar money, moar slaves, moar oil, more minerals, moar drugs, more oil, moar land, moar gold, moar planets, moar Moon, moar sex, moar beef, moar oil, moar sex, moar gold, moar continents, moar fisheries, moar guns, moar copper, moar lithium, moar money, moar slaves, moar countries, moar money, moar sex, moar drugs, moar WARS, moar weapons, moar horror, moar . . . moar . . . moar . . . IT'S THE SAME STUPID MOVIE SINCE 6,000 YEARS AGO!

  • Last Samurai, Dances With Wolves and a SHEENA... though sheena grew up inside the tribe

  • This video is a mirrow from my thoughts, when I saw Avatar. Greetings//Regina

  • lol put transcribe audio on this!

  • LMFAO!

0.48 "this is why we're here, because of this little gray rock" and the Union commander looks down between his legs. lol

  • I liked both movies.

  • @huckster699 That´s because they are exactly the same. Also Last Samurai.

  • @destyrian I like the last Samurai too.. lol

  • @huckster699 Oh I do too. My point was that Dances and Last Samurai don´t have the huge following that Avatar has, probably because of the lack of giant blue pussy cats. Give me Native Americans or Samurai any day over alien smurfs :P

  • #OMG download movіe роор.su

  • #OMG Downloacl or watсh this movie online роор.su

  • Hahahahaha That's the whole fucking story! I use to love Avatar before I seen this movie lol

  • LMFAO!! Pretty good. I would be like, "Yay, new body with working legs!! Wait, what the hell? I look exactly the same! You liars!"

  • Guys, Dances With Wolves was based on a novel. A lot of stories are based on other stories, some more heavily than others.

  • i love at 1:26 how he say's 'he looks like you' and kevin costner hasn't changed appearance at all

  • Dance With Wolves-AnGeRFiSt

  • Dances with wolves is much better than avatar

  • @MrMichaelll123 For sure.

  • Excellent

  • Great Job!!!

  • It's true. When the Oscar nominees were disclosed, a film critic here in Brazil said that Avatar is a Dances With Wolves at Disneyland.

  • Sir Knight, i've just pissed my pants and nobody can do anything about it.

  • @2DogzNC We ll see bout that

  • A man called ARSE!

  • LOL 2:18 Outstanding.

  • Avatar cloned this movie.. and the clone made 50 times more money then what this movie made.. this movie was simple a black and white picture ..and it was cloned into a brighter colorful picture

  • HAHAHA epic

  • @waterlillyqueen Dances with Wolves is a great movie. You need to see it!! It's 4 hours long tho.

  • @SkaterGirlAllison335 I will! I'm trying to see all the best picture winners.

  • I've never seen Dances With Wolves but a lot of the images fit the narration pretty well, especially 3:04 to 3:15.

  • this is why avatar fucking fails! total copy of a story!

  • Ferngully + Dance With Wolves + Blueman group = Avatar.

  • @Heer3945 Dances With Wolves, Pocahontas, Avatar and many more to come :P

  • @Heer3945 HAHAHHA blueman group!

  • @Heer3945

Actually Avatar is more like Dune both the 1984 fiasco from David Lynch and Frank Herbert's classic novel.

If Avatar is Ferngully-Dances with Wolves then The Matrix is Ghost in The Shell, Blade Runner, Keanu Reeves and Akira combined don't you think think?

  • @Heer3945 What about matrix?

  • @thenewgeneration123

The Matrix is actually like Japanese animation in live action and more like live-action Ghost in The Shell/Akira/Fist of the North Star/Ninja Scroll with Keanu Reeves as the star. Ever seen those amazing adult animated movies? watch them and you'll see why they inspired Matrix mainly GITS.

  • @Heer3945 Also: The Matrix + Dances with Wolves = Avatar

  • @jherikomark also, women fake it every time with you.

  • @Heer3945 Ferngully...LMAO

  • @Heer3945 Don't forget Pocahontas and Atlantis: The Lost Empire (the latter of which has the most plot similarities) xD

  • @Heer3945 Don't forget Pocahontas.

  • I just watched Avatar yesterday, and I couldn't believe how much of a rip off of Dances with Wolves it was! It was the same exact plot, it just took place in the future!

  • I have quite a bit of Native American and this movie is not racist..

  • ha ha ha ha this was fucking awesome, The sound completely matched to the dances with wolves movie. Amazing job right on!

It could totally fool someone who has never seen ether movie as if it were a real preview.

  • now i want to watch dww again :)

  • I know everyone says that Avatar is the same as this and Pocahontas and Ferngully, etc.. but is it really such a horrible thing to re-tell stories? Especially since the messages they give seem to be so positive and trying to get people to take more care of the earth.

  • outstanding Spoof loved it!!!!

  • I have never seen Dances with Wolves but if I look at this trailer the Avatar is very unlike Dances with Wolves. You really have to stretch your imagination and oversimplify a lot.

Both Avatar and Dances with wolves follows a certain fixed story telling template. Google "Dances with Wolves (1990) Deconstructed" and "Monomyth"

  • this is sorta racist to me....im 90% Native American!

  • @djmins2008 How the hell could this be racist?!

  • @djmins2008 Racist? DWW was one of the first movies to portray the native indians as civilized people.

  • @djmins2008 Perhaps it's because you've never seen the movie. The way this poof portrays DDW may sound a bit racist, due to the narration of Avatar. But if you watch the movie, you will see that most Natives are depicted as the protagonists, and it's the white who are portrayed as antagonists, who hunt and kill innocent buffalos.

  • yup...your indigenous or your not.....to the north american continent.

  • You can't use Dances with Wolves as an argument if you haven't seen it before Avatar, you sheep.

  • after finding out that avatar and dances with wolves were the same thing it takes all the creativity and awesomeness out of avatar. creativity had died, it makes me sad. also i feel that even tho both of these movies are the same thing they tried sending a message that were kililng ourselves with material objects. im gunna get retardedly high and watch these two movies in a marathon and see if the similarities are true.

  • @rmor93

I would say Avatar was similar to Dance With Wolves but not really the same story. Now Fern Gully on the other hand....

  • I'm watching Dances With Wolves again right now, and the stories are insanely similar.

  • This movie hit spot on trying to explain what native american spirituality is, the thing that sucked is the only way it could be explained to stubborn americans is through cgi. I know that most people that will read this comment will laugh because they know that in a 100 years we will become extinct. The only race that the world turnd there backs on. I've seen thousands of people who give compassion to african american and the jewish community but are happy to see my people die off. Avatar=great

  • @reeboy101 Im with you bro. its indeed very sad.

  • @reeboy101 Its sad. After reading dances with wolves it really made me think. It made me think of how fragile our society is and how cruel people can be. Its sad man..it really is. I intend to read "bury my heart at wounded knee" as well. Also if you could..no offense but I don't understand the indian reservation stuff..if you could explain it would be awesome. Is it like land set off that they own..or is it a place where indians live like they did years ago.

  • @dude63

I encourage you to read Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee, it is a great book and yet sad, and the Indian Reservation is land that the tribes is force to live on... it can be their old hunting grounds(rarely) or a relocated place that belongs to other tribe..miles and miles away from their land. However I am not sure how they choose to live in the reservation...but I think they do use todays technology as well. But most reservation is poor and uneducated..it is quite sad.

  • @dude63 It is land set aside that we do own but not what we chose. We were basically given land that "America" didn't want. We signed treaty's that allowed us more land then what we have now. "America" seen profit in the land we did have so the armies would use tactics such as waiting for all the men to leave to hunt to massacre women and children. The sad thing is is that the Government still allows reenactments of these "massacres" passing them off as great "battles".

  • @reeboy101 So its land where indians can live like they did back in the frontier? Thats neat, I didn't know it was like that still. Its sad what the gov't does though.

  • @dude63 Well we do live in houses, and having running water and electricity. But we still have some Indigenous people such as myself that follow Native way, such as sweating and going to ceremonies. Staying clear of Alcohol and any other kind of substance that pollutes are bodies. Like I said in the sense Avatar's way of Spirituality hits Indigenous Spirituality right on the nose. I have had people get angry with me for showing others how to live this way that aren't of Indigenous Decent.

  • @dude63 But I see no difference in color or in blood. It just gives me hope to see others living the path tunkasila has shown me, regardless of color.

  • @reeboy101 Thank you for the information..Its interesting to me! I also agree, regardless of our skin color we all bleed red.

  • zomg. the leg thing... perfectly placed!!

  • nice, love it

  • theres a website to watch this at its called

    watchenmovies ( . ) com

  • could have been worse its alright

  • Best one I saw this month! -> Perfect online @

    WatchLastMovies. com

  • I haven't seen Avatar by the way and have NO intention to see it either! Just another cheap remake of a previous and MUCH better movie but with new CGI effects. NO THANKS James Cameron you brainwasher! Besides DWW was one of my favorite movies as a child.

  • @MariaSue1 honestly, you sound like like a smart girl, it seems as though you figured out James Camerons secret corporate "eff us all" agenda. I mean come on people, it just a movie, and as a matter of fact, the top grossing movie of all time. James Cameron isnt a brain washer, and doesnt give two shits if you see the movie or not, he makes movies for fucking fun. Top two movies of all time too buddy, now who is lossing out here

  • Yes I'm sure he makes movies for fun with a budget of almost quarter of a billion dollars with an advertisement budget that of new fucking coke. Yes I'm very sure he's not brainwashing people and he's making movies simply for shits and giggles. Christ I didn't think anyone could be that naive, but you just proved me wrong.

  • @MariaSue1 hey, avatars awsome, if you dont watch it, your missing out, nobody else, i agree with you that movie is awsome and this guys time was waisted, however, this was awsome because how well it fitted lol, james cameron doesnt brainwash people, he happens to be the best movie directer of alllllll time (kanye west) watch that ten you will understand

  • Wow!Hollywood has REALLY run out of ALL original ideas ages ago...this if anything proves it.Everything is just a remake.

  • very true which is why i dont hold that against avatar. with something as popular as avatar people are just trying to find something wrong, the flaw of the story not being as complex as the terminator is not really a big deal. the problems of this film are the things that are getting overrated.

  • Oh yeah, 5*

  • :) So cool. I thought of this movie and a Corpse bride when I watched Avatar.

  • This video just made my day, thank you!

    -cbarn360

  • i always think he should say 'this... this is spartan!'
