what is it with people not placing the lid on their JetBoils??? not placing the lid on when boiling water is the greatest way to waste away fuel and reduce efficiency. The lid is meant to be on top while the stove is lit. Basic rule of heat exchange principles.
I own a jetboil and the last thing I want is for it to boil faster. My jetboil already scares the living piss out of me every time I start it. lol I have to remind myself to start it on the lowest setting so that the sparks don't fly.

Then dont use a wide burn stove mate, use the included one.
Also why would you leave the lid on while using the stove, when it clearly tells you to remove it in the manual?

Beware !! The Jetboil lid is a cheap rubber variety which is not heat resistant. It will melt if used while cooking.
In comparison to the Snow Peak test, this stove's pot has a MUCH smaller exposed surface area to volume of water ratio. The heat exchanger also helps.
Take the nepprene cover off and try the test on the Snow Peak using the same pot.
Why take the neoprene off? Simple, I melted my neopreneusing it on a wide burn stove.
