I have watched many singers today, and concludes that Frank was like a comet ... Halley's Comet, which appears every 76 years. Did Sinatra appear here another 76 years?
@Stahio If you like this one you have to check out The Concert Sinatra (which is not actually a live album.) It's all show tunes, and many believe it's the Voice at his most powerful. Ol' Man River is beyond belief.
@Jamesmac30. I don't think Sinatra ever sounded better than this..'57 performance is also xlint but he seemed to take "The Concert Sinatra" very seriously and it showed!!
Sinatra - the Rembrandt of pop. music. Always great to watch. Great voice, impeccable phrasing, simply the greatest singer of the 20th century! God Bless You Frank! Thanks for decades of great music!
@tranurse the full (female) version, which ella sings flawlessly, is soooo dirty. especially when u consider it was written for "pal joey" in 1940... among the best songs ever!
Elegance, eloquence as only Sinatch can do. With the absolutely marvelous orchestration and arrangement by Nelson Riddle, this is indeed non-pareil.
Mr. Sinatra climbs and floats through the modulations like an expert pilot, beautifully, effortlessy, magically one surprise after another never knowing where the current will bring you musically and emotionally

When I've been at the lower points of life this is the song I turn to. Frank's voice says I've been there too.

When I looked this up, I was thinking, "...the highest rated comment will be pretentiously about 'real music,' won't it?" Great song, though.
