  • Do you need a degree in college to become a warrant officer

  • @TheWoodchopper13 nope im doing my packet for it right now main things you'll need are high school iploma or ged high asvab gt score of a 110 a score of a 90 on the afast test then the paperwork begins you have to get few references and then letters of recommendations takes bout a year to be honest especially if your recruiter is an asshole

  • As pilot in the Coast Gaurd don't let this shit fool you. The requirements always change! Now you need at least a 2yr degree just to qualify for Warrant Officer Candiate School. These pilots without college degrees have a hard time getting a job in the civilian word because for some reason that useless 4 yr college degree still holds a lot of weight. My friend is CW3 & let me tell you he was planning to be CWO pilot sense high school. Opportunities like this don't just pop up. Some take 14yrs

  • @lilrog0909 I was thinking of starting off as a 15-Uniform (CH-47D Flight Engineer),and then get a bachelor's degree (if needed),and continue to WOCS (Warrant Officer Candidate School),and then Flight School to become an actual CH-47D Chinook Pilot to conclude my plan, and knowing the aircraft inside-out will be a benefit (because of my experience as a 15U).

  • college? nahhh hahahah

  • Complete BS. lol

  • He's in the first infantry division :D

  • this is exactly what i want to do when i graduate high school

  • Not true.

  • depends. if your in the army, fresh from College with completion of ROTC, and are an officer, have intelligence and you know what your doing for your life and what to do and your there because you wanted to not because you failed at everything else, then of course not. then your doing your dream job. but if your doing it because you sucked at everything else and it was your only way to get food, then you can be if you've been through some really bad stuff.

but no, NO ONE is screwed to the head

  • Hey.

Do you think I stand a chance of being an army pilot with a college degree in I.T, if not can u tell me what I need pls, and how much it's gonna cost for the training. Thanks

  • @MrMichael510

Hey, anyone can become an army pilot, college degree or not (but its great you have one) go to my channel to contact me directly n get even more info.

but as far as training, its no cost to you. in fact all you need is a high school diploma. than you gotta qualify for a flight slot, if none open, than you can't get the job, when one does make sure you get it, once you do its all just training, going through WOCS and your pretty much in. I can get in depth over this, go to my page

  • @Sharod101 IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO FLY A HELO with out going to collage?

  • @USMCjunior117 Yessir.

its called the High School to flight school program, but don't count on it, its very very competative as is, but its possible. see it works in priorities, the guys who are in the army are top priority, than cadets from the academies/rotc, than those fromm college (and it goes in degrees, so PhD's Masters than Bachelors and Associates), than HIGH school students, and a lot of ppl want to fly.

contact my page and i'll tell you the fastest way to fly helos for the Army.

  • @Sharod101 Problem= dont like collage,Solution = USMC OCS?

  • @USMCjunior117

I'm not sure what the Marine Corp status is, but really, if you don't like college, chances are your not going to become a pilot. 1. because they really do look for people with college degrees and 2. if you can't make it through college, you won't make it through flight school.

but yes it is possible. but just do college anyways, 4 years at a state college, major in whatever you want. its not that hard, and you'll do fine.

  • @Sharod101 If I end up wanting to pilot helos a bachalor's degree will due right?

  • @Sharod101 Will a bachalors degree work with jets too?

  • @USMCjunior117 Yep.

but only the top 1% of applicants really become pilots, its tough. minimum requirement is you need a bachelors (a BS in Physics or Chem will really help), but it doesn't specify any kind. flying jets is tough, thats something that is competative, and with a bachelor degree, you are at the minimum and there are going to be people above you who want to take the flight slot from you.

so bachelors minimum yes, but get it in like Physics or Math, and if possible do AF/Navy ROTC

  • You in the Airforce sir?

  • @USMCjunior117 No, Army JROTC still (so H.S.).

But i've done soo much extensive and intensive research, its not even funny, so now i just tell it to people (increasing my competition for flight slots, SWO slots, and NFO slots), but i don't like the idea of people being screwed over in the military because they didn't do enough research.

in fact some of the research is almost useless unless your enlisting now simply because the details, requirements and whatnot change on a month/yearly basis.

  • @Sharod101 Are you already a pilot?

  • @USMCjunior117 No sir, still a H.S. student, but I've spoken to many, even recruiters going into WOCS, and a pilot in my local area who is going to graduate WOCS in a few weeks.

  • @Sharod101 Wish you luck,Semper Fi

  • @USMCjunior117 Thanks Man, Good Luck to you too. Semper Fidelis (no i don't plan to be a marine)

  • @Sharod101 Just one more question, before I ask I would like you to know that I am in high school currently so I have a lot of time to plan, but first before I become an officer,I want to be something smaller for a couple of years, but I heard guys at the age of 25 can't become pilots! Or can they?

  • @USMCjunior117

yea you got plenty of time.

now after age of 25? i'm not so sure on that. i know in the Navy/Air Force its 35 maximum to become an officer, and about 28 or 29 to become an NFO/EWO/Pilot.

sooooo i'd assume its possible. i'm sure the army is a bit more slack than 25, i'd assume they went into early 30's for pilots, but for the Marines, its sounds reasonable. I'm no expert on the Marines, but the oldest age to enlist at all is 24 i believe.

i'll go research and find out though!

  • @USMCjunior117

It depends if you want to be a pilot for the Marines, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, or Army. Im in the Army and started helicopter flight school at age 32, without a degree, and will fly blackhawks. I know that the USMC, USN, and USAF require a 4 year degree, and I do believe their age cutoff is 27 1/2 years of age.

  • @Sharod101 And I might go to Army!!

  • Well he got to where you are without going to college...probably saved some money in the process.
