I first heard this work in the early 1960's on a 10" Decca LP featuring pianist Lukas Foss and was blown away. This is of course a superior recording and I enjoyed listening to it again after so many years!

Thank you. I'm a musicologist and during my studies I watched a special performance. Bejart made a ballet with this piece and although I'm not into XX century music I was amazed as well because it was mine first time with that side of Hindemith. So I know what you mean.
