  • Excellent! Tak!! Just when I thought I couldn't laugh any more you hit us with those credits :D

  • Loved it! Jussi, in particular, was great! Don't get the Lisbeth Salander reference (my own ignorance) . They shouldn't be arresting Felicity Kendal but rather Jennifer Saunders!

  • Excellent, especially the parts with Kurt and Jussi!

  • Did anyone else notice the map of Jersey in the bottom of Tom Barnaby's wallet?? It looks like the picture from the Bergerac opening credits that transformed into the word Bergerac

  • @Verence71 Well done on being the first person to spot (or at least spot and comment on) that one!

  • @Schnorbs Thanks

Facially speaking the "Sarah Lund" reminds me a bit of Pauline McLynn aka Mrs Doyle from Father Ted

I liked the reference to Svartman. There's a Wallander thread on Digital Spy and every time one of the Krister episodes was shown we always used to try and predict the moment when we would collectively say "Oh Svartman!!" in exasperation at his latest cock-up :)

  • @Verence71 I'm sure Sarah would love that! It's confusing, as this video features two ladies called Sarah, one of whom is also playing a character called Sarah.

You've also picked up on the inspiration for the Svartman moment!

  • @Schnorbs Did you know that Midsommer Murders is shown in Denmark under the title Kriminalkommisær Barnaby on the same network that makes The Killing??

  • @Verence71 I found out a couple of months ago that Midsomer is shown in Denmark under that title (hence it's a search term for the video). I didn't realise it was on the same network.

  • @Schnorbs In cases like this Wikipedia is your friend :)

  • My Danish colleague is in fits of laughter over this!

  • Hæ hæ hæ!

  • Hilarious!!!!

  • Hilarious! - Mange tak ;-)

  • I came here via the Graun comments too. Splendid. Am off to IKEA......

  • @batterseaexile Thank you. Those chimneys visible at 2:20 are indeed at the branch of Ikea in Croydon.

  • have posted this on a Facebook Page for fans of Forbrydelsen II ..they'll either love it or hate it..lol..

  • came here via your comment on the Guardian blog. I loved the video and hope you get a lot more views ....Now I just wish I could convert my friends/family to watching these shows so I could share it with them..at present they wouldn't get the joke..

  • Loved this Michael.

  • Absolutely superb Michael ! You had everything in there that a good Scandinavian spoof should have , and I loved the cast list at the end.

I hope that Owen makes a speedy recovery - I did exactly the same running in the marathon back in 1983 !

  • @seventyfour1833 Thank you very much.

Incidentally, are you someone I know in real life, or did you just pick up the names from the video?

  • I Love it! Thank you!

  • Spot on.

    Brilliant!

  • @matthewrowley Thank you so much, Matthew.

Unfortunately, the day I get to meet Sarah Lund herself (see photo link in info above), our "Lisbeth Salander" has just gone and broken his fifth metatarsal in a stage rehearsal. So come and see Fame at the Ashcroft Theatre, Croydon, 26 to 29 October, and you'll see our chum Owen possibly on crutches.
