How many people are behind this speech? How much is written by Obama himself? Is the other people excluding Obama getting the credit they deserve for a great speech like this? yeah i'm having techinical problems watching this. i got to about 13:21 and then it wouldn't let me watch anymore of the video. this is my 3rd try at watching the video and now i am stuck at 11:00 waiting for it to load. it is very frustrating.

mcdonald, that doesnt even make sense. since when does patriotism mean that you have to agree and support everything your government does. the history of the united states, changes that have brought us here, and even it's founding is based upon disagreement with the government. It could be that people who dont support the war, support the troops more, by wanting them not to be policing another country, and fightin and dying for something many americans (more than half) don't believe in.

Whenever I travel the road from Concord to Boston, I think of the British retreating on foot down that road, with the farmers following them in the woods, harassing them with gunfire. In Lexington the statue of the Minuteman always stops me in my tracks, and I think of the brave souls who began our nation, and went on to establish a constitution with a bill of rights. Obama stirs pride and hope for America's future. I will vote for him.

Don't compare Obama with Mccain on patriotism, Obama will not come close in the area of sacrifice and most people know it. If Obama wants to send his henchman Clark after McCain like a pit bull and then deny it that is fine, but remember that there are some people in the Democratic party that won't like that and will defect, regardless of the politics remember that honor can be a winning issue, too.

Why have people started saying "brown people"?
I mean, if you feel the need to refer to somebody's ethnicity or "background", please say "Latin American", "Hispanic", "Indian", "people of _______descent" or whoever the people you're referring to are.
I just think people shouldn't be divided into categories but IF it's a matter of addressing a certain group, address them correctly, not incorrectly. :)

It's easy to call yourself a Christian, it's another thing to live the life of one. Professing with your mouth that you are a Christian is nothing without works to back it up. The Bible says we will be known by our fruits (the good works we do - Mat 7:20). It also says many who claim to know Jesus will be cast down (Mat 7:22-23). Show us Obama where your heart truly is.

i searched to see if i could find another version of this video on some other site but i could not find it. i saw the same problem with the video of Clinton and Obama at the Unity rally. part of it may just be that it's tough to upload a video on youtuve without encountering technological problems. hopefully somebody will fix it.

A dear friend of my is being completely abandon and seriously denied of any assistance for his needed medical bills. He also in the mist of losing his lovely home. Socialist? Do you know that with a clean environment and clean water you can cure most health issues. Prevention is the cheapest way to fight any illness. It is my tax money, I should choose where it goes. I want to help Americans that need it and not oil rich governments.
I can't explain conservation to you in these short words, but Clinton did it and it worked. You 10% of our taxes should go towards helping the poor, not the rich.

And on the same day, another surrogate of the Obama camp John Aravosis continued the attack on McCains war record.
Keep it up, this only highlights the vast difference in experience and love of country between the two candidates.

Just because he served in the military does not mean he will protect us from a terriost attack. mcdonald, that doesnt even make sense. since when does patriotism mean that you have to agree and support everything your government does. the history of the united states, changes that have brought us here, and even it's founding is based upon disagreement with the government. It could be that people who dont support the war, support the troops more, by wanting them not to be policing another country, and fightin and dying for something many americans (more than half) don't believe in.

This speech unites America healing a divide. Hearing this speech healed a divide between me and my fellow citizens: Why the flag pin is important to some people. The desecration of America's symbols by some in the 60's and the disrespect for Vietnam veterans left scars that make antiwar sentiment seem suspect. The flag pin confirmed that fear as did the MoveOn "Betray Us" ad.
The fact is words do matter, his words healed a division in me.
