  • 4:46 aw man, so close.

  • THis is easily my fav scene, no one knows what a girl wants more than a girl ;)

  • I love Viola's face when he comes up on the bicycle.

  • Love this scene~

  • Doesn't know much about personal space much really

  • what is this? bellatrix and mrs umbridge in the same room? LOL

but seriously, i love this movie i was viola in a school play ;D

  • You know I would kind of like to play Viola/Cesario if I ever got the chance. I think that I might be kind of good at it, maybe.

  • helena bonham carter <3

  • o~ OLIVIA!!!!!!!!!!!! ar!!! my ear!!!!

  • love Olivia's dress!! <3

  • I swear this is set in the wrong time period, or is it something to do with Illyria being a fantasy land that it doesn't matter when it's set?

  • @OnlyOneTreeHill8

I think they have mixed several time periods. Theater sets are often treated that way to make them more timeless. I laughed when he took the bicycle.

  • @MsSilentia Ah right, the bicycle and fashions completely threw me off!

  • 'have you any commision from your lord to negotiate with my face?'

    roflmao

  • She is such a good actress! I would have sworn she was a boy.

2:42 She kind of reminds me of a young Christian Bale.

  • TRANSLATION: twelfth night =she's the man.

  • @extraterrestrialbibi Well dur.

  • @extraterrestrialbibi Um, actually, it is the other way around, seeing as Twelfth Night certainly came first. And all I needed to see was the trailer of She's The Man to decide that, if Shakespeare wasn't already dead, he would shoot himself in the skull after seeing such absurd garbage manufactured after his work.

  • *this

  • oh god i av a literature presentation n his really helped ALOT im olivia <3

  • its DOLORES UMBRIDGE! loll who knew they'd both be Harry Potter actors eventually

  • wow. if i am really her. I will fall in love with her..such passion for luv//

  • I love this part :)

  • @hadadeavalon14 not just the ducks, the viewers as well!

  • What, now! A bicycle in a Shakespearean play?!!

  • @Candythehedgehog2 lmao! she is such a great actress!

  • @maybelatta best actress of all time~to me anyways

  • in love with cesario...good gosh...

  • wasn't she also the one who played cousin lucy in sense & sensibility?

  • Is it just me or is she just soo damn handsome being a guy . . .

    and i'm a girl . . .

  • @archie28otaku Hehe I was thinking the same thing XD

  • I understand none of what they're saying o.o;

  • she looks like bloody "ponyboy" from the outsiders...

  • OMG i think i just fell in love with a woman dressed as a man. never thought it could be possible!

  • Is that Doleres Umbridge??

My Lord I think Helena has played with every Harry Potter character. XD

    hahaha. that's so cool!

    Love Helena! <333

  • how now? even so quickly might one catch the plague? (of love)

    so true!!!

  • 2:45 hair flip lol

  • 8:38 I think this is the same place as the place where Maurice had the talk with his teacher in Maurice?

  • cesario looks friggin handsome!!!!

    especially his eyes

  • I usually find handsome girls more handsome dressing in men's cloth than men themselves.

  • @hadadeavalon14 QUUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAACK QUAAAAAAAACK!!!

  • Viola looks like a really "pretty dude", Haw haw heeee.

  • OMG! is that Dolores Umbridge? I haven't seen the movie, I have no idea.

I love Helena!!! :) Imma watch this later. xD

  • Really...who DOESN'T crack up with Viola/Cesario?

When she's with Orsino, he's going on and on about the faults of women, and how "HE" understands him so well and yet a "SHE" couldn't...and then with Olivia! She rejects Orsino for a vision of what she wants more out of a man...VIOLA AS CESARIO! XD

Why, you'd almost SWEAR Viola was just a sweet transvestite... ;)

    It's witty, it's thoughtful...IT'S SHAKESPEARE!

  • i love HELENA BONHAM CARTER and her dress and he (she cesario) is very cutie i can understand why she would fall for him (her)

  • ok, I am a straight girl but I would happily turn gay for viola/cesario XD

  • @SpeedDemon0307

I know, right? I'm a straight girl too, but I've always had a thing for cross-dressing women. Not sexually, I just like to look at them. It's always disappointing when the illusion is broken...

  • @GizmoBeam LOL your just like one of my friend to! she got a little girl crush when i dress up as a guy for a play

  • Brilliant, brilliant acting!!! There was a fleeting moment I thought Olivia (Helena) will kiss Cesario - a mere flash! Yet how intense, how exquisitely performed!

  • in the book she said gray eyes

  • she is so cute as Cesario.

  • God, I just want them to have dirty lesbian sex...

  • All her mannerisms are so effortlessly masculine, from the way she walks to the way she flips her hair. Amazing acting.

  • @Chaeley Yes. It is as well done as I have seen but never one yet that doesn't look like an obvious woman. Why the men never get it I don't know. .

  • I love this part! Cesario (Viola) is so charming! This part kind of reminds me of the part in Kate and Leopold where they talk about how Leopold can be so easily charming with ^O^

  • The bike bit made me lol :)

  • umbridge! it's professor umbridge!! haha

  • There is no way she has a man's voice!

  • omg they have totally cut a load out of this scene

  • @3v3ryth1nr0cks Wait, they cut it from the movie? Or the movie version cut a lot out of the scene from the play?

  • @hadadeavalon14

    pfft ikr!

  • @KayHarajukuluver ahh...k

  • o.o they had bikes at the time...never knew that

  • This is so helpful, we are doing the first scene of this particular part in drama class at the moment and I missed the lesson when this was showed. Thanks for putting this up here.

  • My dear, she is a 'thespian', not a "lespian"

    lol

  • in the play she falls in love with ceserio, which is the male disguise that viola assumed.

  • We're doing this here at the University right now. It's great fun to watch it live!

  • its all good, my mother washes out my mouth with antibacterial soap often... I guess the dirt just keeps coming back...

  • Polo is totally the sexxx omg seriously <3 Miley speaks the languageee, sings it tooo!! You should watch Romeo and Juliet, its so good, specially with DiCaprio in it! Anyways nWrWn how do you know I'm getting a rabbit??

  • this is wonderful -giggle-

  • 'Olivia' is a good actress, ive seen 4 of her movies now, this, Merlin, Harry Potter 5 and 6

  • watch her in sweeney todd, women talking dirty, and margaret's museum. they are my favorites. she is totally awesome. i love helena bonham carter.

  • watch her in Conversations with Other Women brilliant performance and The Wings of the Dove, fantastic movies both should've earned her an oscar

  • Have you seen Lady Jane, Conversations with Other Women, and Novocaine? Those are some of my favorites of her films. Aside from Twelfth Night, of course.

  • I've seen Conversations With Other women and Novocaine, but I haven't seen Lady Jane yet. I should watch it when I get the time.

  • the actress is helena bonham carter and shes the best actress in the WORLD! lol

  • I love viola's character as ceasario!

  • LMFAO @ malvolio's reaction when viola shouted olivia's name.....

  • This is valuable character research for me, as I am playing Malvolio this summer at my college. Thanks for the upload!

  • Orsino is so lovely and Toby Stephens looks so amazing. He is just perfect.

  • oooooh this is classic!

i'm playing viola in this scene in my acting class. i can't wait to do the willow cabin bit and shout OLIVIAAAAAA at the top of my lungs, haha.

  • You're playing Viola? LOL at your screen name XD

  • I have no suprise why Olivia fell in love with Cesario. He's really.. well, SHE's really.. cute. and funny. :D

  • You're right! I'm a girl, but I think she/he is very cute! As a boy, I mean...

  • And she is gutsy

  • @FaustianDreams Scary that she actually makes quite an attractive man too!

  • and count orsino (toby stephens) is the son of maggie smith aka professor mcgonagall. six degrees of harry potter haha

  • lol im reading this book in lit.

  • <3 Twelfth Night. And I can't believe Olivia is also Bellatrix Lestrange!

  • and Maria is Dolores Umbridge!

  • WOW. this is so well made!

  • Love this scene! "babbling gossip of the air" i had to do this scene with a friend for a shakespear variety show and loved that line. Helena Bonham Carter is love ^_^

  • wow. she really looks like a man here.

  • 1:13 "yyy" is great! :D xD

  • well, my mum thought she was a man lol ... i told her is a she.

  • Fair Cruelty ... oh the romance of that speech ♥

  • Viola is really great as a man but she sounds like a woman!

  • Viola is disguising her male ego as a castrate, that's why she doesn't sound like a man, although realistically she shouldn't have been able to have grown a mustache either XD

  • Wow... Oliviaaaaaaaaa

    :))Classic

  • when is this to be released?????????

    Got to see!!

  • waha... :P

we used this story in our play and we won 3rd place!!!

    i love this movie!!

  • LOVE the look on Viola's face as she peers around the door...classic!

  • she sounds amazing talking like that

  • Lol the bike fell over! :D

  • i shall make me a willow cabin at your gate, and call upon thy soul within the house; i will halloo your name into the reverberate hills even in the dead of night, i will make the babbling gossip call out your name olivia

  • crap. i just wanted to hear the audio. i didnt mean to press post comment. lol

  • I like Olivia's coquettishness in this scene. She is well aware she is beautiful.

  • Omg...I'm in love with Imogen Stubbs.

  • Haha, I love it when Viola flips her hair out of her eyes.

She seriously passes for a man until she starts talking. xDD

  • Eee! I love this play.

  • My favorite part of the film.

  • lol it was funny when viola yelled out Olivia's name like that
