  • Blobeye FTW!!!

  • Is this the 2.0l or 2.5l version?

I'm looking at buying a 2.0l version and was interested in if it was worth it.

  • You wanna see a sick launch?? look up ryan woons supra

  • AWD ♥ xD

  • Is this fitted with the Prodrive differentials?

  • ok..

  • And then at the 1000ft mark the SRT-4 drives right by that STI.

  • @MrBadfish2 Your smoking crack! when a srt4 rolls up next to me. i dont give a shit, why? because your driving a neon!! and im driving a Sti. there is no point for me to rape you further than 1000ft so i prefer to make you smile and let off the gas knowing that your gunna go home and say you beat a STI when infact you are the epidemy of shame.... poor poor neons, I pitty you

  • @peniez800

I haven't lost to an STI yet, and there are plenty of them here in Cali. In fact, I own both the Caliber SRT and the Neon SRT and my Caliber SRT (Completely stock) just killed my co-worker's 06 STI from a dig and a roll. STI's are quick off the line, but that awd lag kills their top end. Most STIs out there are stock, which makes them that much easier to beat. Just FYI, the worlds fastest STI is still not faster than the worlds fastest Neon.

  • @MrBadfish2if its the non turbo then the impreza driver must have been a retard lol. If it is the 2.4turbo then in a straight line you should have bit more power top end than the scooby but in the corners you are screwed. 280 at the front wheels and you will torque steer if pushed where as the scooby will just anally rape you. A car needs to be balanced its not all about straight line speed :)

  • @djresche87

No, it's the STI..and I easily ran him down. By 100 mph I was a car ahead and by 120 I was 3 cars. It's even worse when I race him in my neon srt. .. Most races are straight line..and most roads have straight aways, so unless you have a 20 mile road of nothing but twisties my cars will have no problems staying in front of STIs.

  • @MrBadfish2 Did you not read my first reply ... they let you win , because your driving a neon.

stop, get out of your car and walk around it . are you proud ?

  • @MrBadfish2 Nobody cares you Neon owning dork.

  • my dad wants my first car to be a manual, i'm looking at these. how do you launch it like this? does it risk blowing the clutch?

  • STi comes pretty close to youporn..

  • and that's why I love old Subies - rumbling sound of the engine is STUNNING!! <3

  • that was sick!

  • fucking sickk<3

  • Thats a beautiful car, looks exaclty like my cousins old one

  • ow i can feel the awd systems pain ='(

  • didnt know you could get prodrives in the u.s? anyways the ppp(intercooler y pipe, backbox and ecu) increase power to 305bhp in the uk...using 97 ron fuel.

prob a bit less in the u.s........but 0-60 should be 4.6!

the standard engine produces 260bhp with 0-60 in 5.2

so what are u doing with ur added power and torque?

  • I wouldn't believe in the figures Prodrive claim the PPP makes. Had my Sti on the dyno after PPP and came out 262.2hp.

PPP is just a generic map, not unique to each vehicle.

Get the ECU remapped and then you should be hitting 305+

  • Actually don't be disappointed, you might actually be getting the claimed 305HP, but at the crank...

With the amount of power lost to the drivetrain (special in AWD cars) if you dyno at 262HP in the wheels that's not bad. it's around 25-30 more hp at the wheels than a stock EU market STI.

  • It was 262.2hp at the crank.

Quite a few guys i know have the PPP, all between 260-300hp. All different.

Had yours on the rolling road?

  • Yeah I don't remember it was quite a while ago but I do remember it was close to 300HP at the crank because I had the EU version and I remember it was much higher than the stock 265HP.

  • @WrXsTi4EvA So you took the engine out of the car and put it on a engine dyno to get the BHP? because chassis dyno's measure in WHP, and you would have to do hypothetical math to get the theoretical BHP from that number. So i'm pretty sure you actually dyno'd at 262whp, and sti's in the us generally dyno at 206-246ish AWHP stock.

  • Here is power!!!

    Type in:

" Impreza with launch control "

Watch my grey wagon smoke up all four wheels and leave a nice " 11 " on the tarmac!!

    Enjoy!!

  • @weasel210672 that was cool

  • nyce launch but there is no power

  • that launch was rocket ship status

  • you could probably go sub 5 if you didnt shift so damn slow

  • mine doesnt wheelspin at all i have tried everything just neck snapping launch :D

  • What type of tires do you run?

  • lol nice launch but who is this fuckhead writing in arabic or whatever???

  • i totally agree with you,

that is exactly what i had in mind.

  • Yeaaa pretty cool

  • nice launch man

  • Thank you

  • better tires will give you a better launch.

  • yeah true but what ever tyres you put on a 300bhp car will smoke if you floor it and drop the clutch....

  • lol none, im thinking atleast 450 hp with slicks thats it

  • Omg that place looks awesome

  • i agree, where is that?

  • Haifa, Israel

  • hiwd... your retarded. less wheelspin=better launch/faster acceleration. try launching any car with 320 hp with turbo with only front or rear wheel drive revving at 4000 plus rpm... you'll do a burn out, not launch.

  • hiwd: watch a 335i vs Subaru WRX STI vid. The Subaru wins vs. the BMW cause the BMW is basically spinning while the Subaru has traction.

  • זה בישראל נכון?

  • yep

  • thats how u launch an sti.......

    nice...

  • but he definitely didt rev it past 5000 for shifting

  • Man AWD makes launch times SO much faster.

  • It actually slows the launch down....

  • Other than the fact that it's heavier, I don't understand why. Wheelspin is just wasted horsepower.

  • ok this is a quick remark it is heavier but a honda civic weighs the same weight and it has less then half the power.. my friend has a 06 rs 2.5 it weights 3150 my other friend has a 00 si it weighs 3400.. its not that heavy for having a awd system in it

  • Yeah, that sounds about right. AWD adds about 300-400 lbs, depending upon the brand.

  • without awd it would be a light car but it wouldnt really matter much because it takes off on alot of cars from a dig it may slow it down but not much and nothing is stopping it in the snow, mud, gravel, dirt or any sudden rain storm lol

  • well the colin mcrae series impreza only weighs 1065kilos, has 300 bhp but the power to weight of a evofq400, its awesome

  • i need to know in pounds idk kilos

  • 2347

  • that ='s bullet threw snow gravel mud and streets

  • yup

  • google is your friend

  • Then why aren't EVOs getting crazy fast 1/4 times?

  • They have crazy fast times but Evo's are FWD converted to AWD

  • ALL EVOs are AWD

  • yes they are!

  • That's what I said. But the EVO's AWD drive system is modified of of a FWD setup. They come AWD I know that. But that's why Subaru's symetrical AWD is different.

  • Not true, here are a few examples I know for a technical fact:

Volvo's AWD and VW's AWD (also in the Audi TT, rest of Audi have a different quattro system), both have Haldex or Torsen mid-diff's that distributes UP TO 50% to the rear wheels. Normally 90% goes to the Front.

Also in all Subaru's AWD cars other then the STI it's 50%/50% premenant distribution.

    Hope this helps

  • thats just weird

  • Actually, thats not true. As far as the WRX goes, I know the earlier USDM years ('02-'03) were closer to a natural 60/40 balance.

  • That is true, it actually changes based on how you drive. During acceleration, yes, it is split more torwards the rear but is never a permanent ratio. Unless you have an STi tranny.

  • @hector0zero You mean Mitsubishi Lancer Evo's, lots of car companies make an "Evolution" version, BMW, Lancia and they are not all AWD.

  • This aint no prodrive. I hear no straight-cuts.

  • Could of had the under the bonnet Prodrive Treatment.. We'll never no..

  • Eh... It would sound different.

  • Ohh Yeah.. What with all the Exhaust System changes and that Jazz..?

Your Right after a bit of thought...

  • ישראלית...יפה

  • Is this car with chamelion color or I am blind ? xD (srry for my english)

  • ur just retarded

  • yooo. for real that is a fuckin beautiful sti. lovin the color

  • Wow. Perfect launch. PERFECT. No bog. Just gripped the road and shot out like a hell cat. :)

  • hey is it bad to spin the tires on an sti since it is all wheel drive??? i heard it was bad for the tranny

  • No. Tire spin depends on many factors. The grip of your tires (tread wear rating), how much HP/TQ you put down, and the road conditions. In this case he had great weather but barely spun a bit.

  • u heard wrong.. spinning tires is bad for any clutch but not the sti tranny in specific

  • no its always better to break loose the tires. because when u break them loose ur clutch isnt slipping and little drivetrain shock

  • well, it depends, like.. doughnuts r bad for the tranny and differentials cause one wheel usually spins fast and the other just tracks the road, but if your straightlining and doing a burnout just cause the power broke the tires free.. thats not any worse then spinning in gravel or loose rocks on the road..

  • now that's nice.. no squat or lift :)

  • Prodrive my ass. I hear no bang bang.

  • I got a GC8, not awd though, but it still an amazing car.

Your car kicks ass, grats :)

  • not gc8.. its body model is gc maybe but not "8"

  • It's actually a GD.

  • i know.. i was talking about the guy who said he has a gc8 that isnt awd..

  • who needs launch control with awd?nice

  • Hey Man. Good launch!!! Unreal feeling aye! Good times

  • Thanks man! Saw you videos as well, your STI is stock?

  • oooohhhhh boy ,,, that just made me wanna do some work to my baby!!!!!!

  • Cool, what's your ride?

  • where is launch control... hehe r u stupid heheh

  • Are you stupid? Why does he need launch control? Without launch control he does fine.

  • Thanks! :D

  • very nice launch dude. very nice. AWD POWER!

  • I appreciate your comment! thanks!

  • SCCChhhWeeeet

  • thanks :)

  • Very few cars can beat an STI launch

  • Everyone that rode with me said the car feels like a roller coaster, and a good launch feels like being shot out of a cannon. Love it.

  • It says this is the prodrive STI, that would be 305 BHP isn't it?

  • Yes that is right. Updated it in the video info! Thanks!

  • that was fuckin sexy! gettin smoke at launch with dry road & AWD.... Noiiice!

  • Thanks!

  • very nice subaru!!!

  • thats phat

  • nice launch

  • holy shittt....

  • thats well cool wat revs you holding her at ? cause i saw u rolled back then launched but hey that was amazing !!!!

  • that's mental

  • how'd you launch like that? that was sickkkk.
