Anyone notice that she's LEFT-HANDED? (My mother was, that's why I noticed.) Most scissors are designed for right-hand use, to press the blades together. Try a scissors left-handed and you'll see. -- Main point, what a gas!!

@WithThisLight I'm a Black woman in Harlem, and I call it Black neck roll. There is nothing racist about giving credit to a group that invented something or is known for it. In fact, we often complain that we're not given credit! Remember Bo Derek's cornrow braids? The neck roll is not a good or bad thing, just like cornrows. Enjoy the humor, and don't try to speak for all of us.

Oh yes, it takes some getting used to for a 'leftie' to cut with 'rightie' scissors, but it isn't impossible. I know that because I am a leftie and have gotten used to using 'rightie' scissors. I would think if she's 72, she would know how to compensate by now. Being an Italian from South Jersey, she sounds pretty normal to me!
