is there a battery slot at the back? I've seen pictures of the guitar online but can't seem to find the battery slot. It has the active EMG so I'm assuming it takes a 9 volt.
@MATTBURNSDJENT It has a battery slot. I haven't bought mine yet, but on Rondo Musics (dot) com site they have pictures of it and you can see the battery cover on the back of it.
im thinking about buying the guitar but the dual pickups, sense i solo in the neck position....ive never played a maple neck, whats the diffrence in that and rosewood?? for anyone who can answer....and dose it come with a case?
@xlxfinaldeathwishxlx Maple has more of a bite to it. Thats pretty much the only difference, lol. Other than it just looks nicer than Rosewood :D hehe. But yeah, thats it.
@Bludhoundz8 In reality there's a huge difference, Maple sometimes comes clearcoated which makes it seem kind of sticky when sliding but easier to clean, Rosewood is a much denser and has a smoother feel but requires a good lemon oil rub down/cleaning every 6 months or so and tends to trap dirt/gunk between the grains but wash your hands before shredding it's not a big issue, Ebony is even denser but a smoother feel IMHO, I love Ebony fb's but as with all guitars it's about personal preference.
Man I always think WHY do they make guitars without one knobs, it sounds so fluffy and like you've just cranked the bass and destroyed any of the tonal qualities :/
Hey, I'm trying to decide between an 828 and an 830 and I want to be able to tune to double-drop Bb (pretty much just so I can play Spasm by Meshuggah!), could you tell me if it'll make it that far cleanly? If you could post a short clip just so I can hear how it sounds I'd be super grateful. Thanks dude!
@meah941 It's definitely challenging. After playing on this guy for a while jumping back to a 6 string you'll definitely notice that you have a lot more dexterity.
@Echooff3 Did you have any problems with the shipping?
I'm living in sweden and are thinking about getting one, but I'm scared of getting it home and the neck is snapped or the pickup is out or something else is faulty..
@keasaildsslog For some strange reason I took to the 8 faster than a 7. But it will definitely work you right hand out. Starting out is a little overwhelming but it doesn't take long to get comfortable with it.
@FilthyInsomniac It's like a Wizard II neck perfectly scaled up to accommodate 8 strings. If it were any thinner it might snap under the tension of the strings.
hey i come from a background of playing a 25.5 inch 7 string guitar... exactly how difficult is changing to a massive 28.625 scale? and how much harder is playing? cuz its either this guitar, or the RGA8. which is only a 27 inch scale.
@retrowheels dont get the rg... they arent good for the money you pay. in my opinion the even further extended scale isnt that difficult to get in tune with. as soon as you have it mastered it really allows you to play much easier.
@medude6652 except for the active pickups. you cannot have actives to get the punchy tone like meshuggah has. look into the agiles with cephius pickups. they will punch you straight in the mouth
in 828, the 8 is for "8" string, 28 is for "28".625 scale.. awesome video man, i just bought one off rondo music yesterday. they had it shipped about an hour after the purchase and it arrives all the way in texas from new hampshire on saturday. im already very impressed just with their customer service alone lol
F# B E A D G B E is how it came and what I used in the video. I saw one other guy on youtube tune it to E B E A D D G B. That tuning is cool because you can bar the first two string similar to the way you would in a drop D tuning.

@MATTBURNSDJENT There's a very big plate on the back that has 3 screws. Pop it off and there's your battery

@GaZsGameTips my point was the "dual humbuckers" unless you like only having one pickup lol
SiantDread 1 year ago
you can get a 30 inch scale now with dual humbuckers
SiantDread 1 year ago
@SiantDread if you go on there site there is a duel pickup EMG 808, a couple of them and they have 30, 28, and 27 inch scales

i think it would be cool if it had the standard 6 strings, but 1 string on top and 1 on the bottom. thus an extra high string and a lower string

@CHA0SOME I'd get in touch with Rondo Music. They seem to be the main distributor for Agile.
