  • @legba85

    LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOO wow. Nice catch

  • venusorous from pixar elliptic?

  • DO NOT GO BATHROOM! D:

  • if david get's bored then let him play with the deathray then zapping humanz then turn them into dust?

  • "Compliance!" Am I the ONLY one who's gonna make that their new catch phrase?

    Mom: Stop kicking your sister!

    Me: Compliance!

  • @KoolKeith9000 I watched this movie last night. Haven't seen it in years, but Compliance is the only word that stuck with me. I came here to see if anyone else liked the word too. I'm using this as my own catchphrase too haha.

  • @KoolKeith9000 Although my version of your example would be:

    Mom: Stop Kicking your sister!

Me: .................. Naaaah (kicks sister some more)

  • @rrwryan LOL Nice :)

  • LOL I do not leak you leak remember? LMAO I love that part!

  • then again back then kids had 3 recesses a good healthy lunch, plenty of time to go outside and play before the sun went down and were able to read books. they knew what books were back then. now a days kids don't even know what a book is cept a coaster for a drink. if video games or the internet doesn't rot their brains it's the schools not giving them any time to play or free time to go and read unless it's what they choose.

  • E.T., Short Circuit, The Dark Crystal, The Never-ending Story, Flight of the navigator, Police Academy, Ghost Busters, Benji, Tron (the original), Raiders of the lost ark, movies back then didn't use CGI's or green screens or things like that. you had to have actual talent to act or sing or be in the entertainment business. yes it was the last great era in entertainment it was the death of entertainment some say. takes us 30 years to appreciate what we had, but then our parents say the same.

  • Why is it that in every alien movie I've seen, cows are the first to suffer?

  • Still fascinated with how the steps to the ship materialized. The reaction of the scientists shows how pathetic they are. Dorks!

  • "I dident mean straight up! I meant along the ground!".....

    ...."Oh..." ROFL!

  • compliance

  • And yet they are remaking this movie....for the love of god the directors need to fire the writers lol

  • 3:15 alien capable, no doubt

  • i miss my childhood so god damn much.

  • @mrazfan2008 im not 30 yet, i was about 5 months old when this movie was made, its good that at your age of 14 is able to realise that today's cinema is not all that - its all about image and looking good which is what the problem is, back in my day and b4 that it was how it was - simple :) but now you have youtube to discover what it was like back in those days, check out other classic's like e.t, no batteries included and so on....im sure you'll love em :)

  • CLASSICCCCCCCCCCCC :')

  • I want one this spaceships!!! I can go anywhere I want very fast, and most of all freeee!!!

  • 0:36 Bottom of the screen....TITTIES!

  • do not know privacy. MOOOO.

  • I love how everyone ducks when the ship suddenly stops.

  • @scorchx3000 Stupid! LoL

  • lol wonder why they went with the model with the giant thumbprint on the top?

  • @3:57 the movie Zoom copied this scene!!!!

  • @KooturKoot

ah must have been the shirt XD

  • Maybe David was trapped like those aliens before he was dropped off 8 years into the future while another navigator had the control of the ship

  • If he were my kid I'd be so pissed at NASA for allowing him to get into a spaceship just after being missing for 8 years xD

  • Compliance!

  • Paul Also Did Pee-Wee Herman, Lock From TNMBC And The Raccoon From Dr. Doolittle.

  • @darthranerful Sammon, can't go wrong with sammon.

  • u maybe right doctadeath... but now people in the 21st century only use 3% of their brains!..

  • Ive watched this movie a million times since it came out and loved it as a kid, but i always thought the ship looked like one of those old 80's Nerf footballs. But seriously, who didnt want to fly around in that thing.

  • @bobodd5

black people so have nothing to do with science... LOL

  • @williamsimpson4 That's a lie. Racist!

  • i do not you leak? remember

  • @mrazfan2008 Trust me, the '70s, '80s, and most of the '90s were great compared to now in almost every phase of life. I really hate being alive now and I feel sorry for all of those who were born in the last 13 years.

  • @mrazfan2008

I feel the same way! I miss movies like this.

  • No one find it ironic they stopped over a cow field ? ....lol

  • 9:51 - anyone else recognise the eye as Skipper from Garth Marenghi's Dark Place?

  • I do not leak. You leak, remember.

  • As a kid, I had a Supermobile toy that vaguely resembled the shape of Max's ship in it's speedy form.

I loved that toy, and always pretended it was the Navigator ship :P

  • Highly intteligent creature, can go anywhere in the universe, speaks 1000's of languages, and doesn't know "bathroom", "promise" and "privacy". Wierd.

  • @crazykidsdad

    Sounds like Islam.

  • @crazykidsdad Weird.

  • Classic senari: wind blowing, garbage flying around, hot blond running up to the fence and holding on for dear life as somthing amazing happens!!

  • Before there was Balloon Boy, there was Silver Oyster Boy. :P

  • so wait.. let me get this straight. The force blew the roof off the temporary building but didn't knock anyone over?

    Nice..

  • Eyeeeee eye eye eye eye eye eye eeeeeyyye eye eeeeeye eey ey ey eyeyeyeye....LOL I remember that bit from when I was little! No need to ask what that creature is called!

Is it just me, or are the special effects they used here really amazing for something that came out in the mid 80's!!!?

I can think of many much newer films that look a LOT more dated. I can't believe it is nearly as old as me! 80's films wipe the floor with most of today's tacky rubbish.

  • @soundseeker63

Alpha from power rangers always reminded me of that eye alien, how he was always Aye Yi yi!

  • @scorchx3000 I don't see how

  • @gwagner007 LOL! I thought my family were the only ones!!!

  • MOOOOOOW!!!!

  • That was just a wheather balloon!

  • This movie gets so annoying and too Disney around this part. It was awesome when it was trippy, but the rest is lame.

  • @AdrianAnansi wait, you think the part with the alien specimens ISN'T trippy? sir, have you ever...tripped?

  • Im so mad they made that ship look like a walnut. LOL!!

  • @juytrew Why are you mad about that?

  • I can understand why they'd want to do another film based on this ship... or a ship like it... but why would they remake it?!

  • I want that Ship

  • Navigator, I do not leak? You leak, remember?

  • The robot cracks me up.

  • 9:30 that is my brother an ugly fuck who burps lol

  • Wow. This is real, not fake.

  • LOL, humans only use 10% of the brain. That's a very old lie from the 20th century.

  • @doctadeath2020 People still believe this. College teachers still teach it. Hardly a 20th century thing...

  • @ModstRob Sadly theydo. My Psych teacher told us this last semester.

  • @doctadeath2020 Yeah nowadays they say its about a third. Still seems a little wasteful to me..

  • @doctadeath2020 probably perpetuated by the fact that any testing of this theory was done on idiots :D

  • @doctadeath2020 Well, it was originally believed to be true back then, until some recent research on the brain, that is! XD

  • @doctadeath2020 Yea, humans use less than 10% you're right!

  • @doctadeath2020 yeah its more like 3%

  • I saw this movie for the first time when I was about 5 or 6. It was about 1990. I've loved this movie ever since. I used to have dreams of piloting this ship. It'd be so cool to have one of my own.

  • David is holding out his penis and his testicles in both hands to pee pee and standing up.

  • WTF

  • at 2:11 OHHH....

  • Ha, Max is completely wrong, its a myth we only use 10% of our brains. In your face max you feckin' idiot!

  • @mastersham this is fantasy - you can get away with it when it comes to myths and whatnot

  • Luke 13:32 Israel's King Herod is a Fox

Revelations 17:18 Babylon is a Fox

Judges 15:4 Revelations 11:8 Jesus tied two foxes tail by tail. Like Samson who then tied a torch to them.

Nahum 2:4 The Chariots will dart about like the lightnings.

    Aurora Firefoxes

    Jesus Died for All

    Aurora Firefoxes for All

Nahum 2:9 The supply is endless.

  • 3:00 - 3:20: "Computer, prepare to make the jump into hyperspace"

  • whats with David? 'There all dead Dave'. Red Dwarf. 'I cant do that Dave' Space Odyssy. and 'That could have been you head David' Flight of the Navigator

  • "The supply is endless, the wealth from all its treasures!" (Bible, Nahum 2:9)

"4 The chariots storm through the streets, rushing back and forth through the squares. They look like flaming torches; they dart about like lightning." (Bible, Nahum 2:4).

  • "16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (Bible, New Testament, John 3:16)

Men readily believe what they want to believe. (Caesar)

Saint Augustine said that if you want to believe you believe.

  • LOL You, Max do not know anyhting about Earth. Well guess what, Earth is not as primative as you and your kind of Phaelon would like to think and believe. LEARN ABOUT OUR PLANET BEFORE CHOOSING A NAVIGATOR!!!

  • @finstrike7

Are you kidding??! He's Probably light-years ahead Advanced By Now in 2010

_They Need to make another Movie or a Remake; of this. & make it scary as hell.

Not too many stupid new aged comical disney jokes either! <Forget them period.*

Add more Story-plots Origins, & also, Have the kid actually go too other planets after earth, & reach the very edge of the galaxy to find it's a Living breathing evil Monster or something!*

  • @SkyRifter Alright alright alright! Yeesh calm down. I was not being serious. Just making a comment. Oh and they are actually making a remake. But...as I agree with many others, a remake of this movie should not be done. It's one of those last reat sci-fi movies of the 80's.

  • I love that line "I didnt mean straight up I meant across the ground....... OH >_>"

  • @darkmagic1701 I do too! xD HA! Max you dumb super computer.

  • Whoever does the voice for that "eye eye eye eye eye eye" thing has a pretty fast tongue!

  • @BtoCtrill when you come to think about it there telling a joke lol

  • "he shot up 20 miles @ mach 10 and did't get flattened. mach 10 is around 75,000 mph"

That's nothing. You should see my cat when I scream "Fancy Feast".

  • mach 10 is around 7,500 mph

  • That huge eye at the end of the clip used to freak me out when i was a kid

  • Love this movie! Stuff dreams are made of.

I am surprised Disney lawyers haven't forced this off youtube...... glad to see it again.

  • 2:11 -"...oh" XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • Compliance! classic talk from the computer

  • Max is Paul Reubens, aka Pee-Wee Herman. Not sure if anyone knew that or not.

  • One of my favourite films - thanks for uploading.

  • this is a classic family movie.the same goes for d.a.r.y.l. its another classic 80s scfi film

  • I didn't mean straight up. I meant along the ground.

    Oh

    LMAO

  • should the ship have inertial dampening fields?

  • it must be equipped with something to combat inertia. he shot up 20 miles @ mach 10 and did't get flattened. mach 10 is around 75,000 mph

  • Nope, 7,500 mph - still fairly fast though ;-)

  • yep. sorry. i typed too many "0s". thank you for correcting me.

  • 9:50 - AMAZING!! hahahahaha!!!

  • 4:10 LOL, do not know bathroom, then open the door!

  • 4:57 I love Max's MOO and how the cows look.. awesome!

  • @JunkInTheFrunk those weren't cows - they were bulls. They didn't have udders

  • @ChipmunkRaccoon3 I was thinking David should've been scared to be among the cows because there might be a bull among them. If those were bulls like you said then he definitely should've been scared. I wonder why they didn't attack him.

  • @Stephen10528 I think they were too busy chewing their cuds to do anything about him.

  • At 9:11 looks like slimy rice crispy treats..lol

  • compliance! man i was in grade 3 when this film was released now im 30 yrs old... 27 years! damn!

  • Think you need to go back mate, lol. It was released in 1986, that's only 24 years...

  • LMAO!!

I need the superior information in your inferior brain to fly this thing.

    LOL!

  • @Nicholas2082 well at least he was being honest

  • @Nicholas2082

    this .... "thing" ... .

  • I would love to fly in an extraterrestrial spacecraft. This is what I have been dreaming about. Can it become a reality? Would you fly aboard like in that movie?

  • @Zach979

    very true, good call...

    i hate that stupid myth

  • those bulls are like - "whats that thing doing in our field?" "whats going on?" "why is that thing mooing at us?" etc

I should think the boy'd be a tad worried when that shot that scene in the film, what with bulls sometimes being aggressive

  • when i was a kid the special effects were awsome, now they look like shit............*sigh* those were the good ol days.

  • Why did they let peewee herman fly a spaceship

  • hey, it wasn't OUR choice for him to voice Max.

Anyway here's interesting trivia - the puppeteers for Max and those creatures, Tim Blaney and Tony Urbano, were some of the same puppeteers who operated Johnny 5 and the other robots in Short Circuit, which was released 2 months prior to this film

  • Compliance!

  • it's a big, silver walnut lol
