  • 14 isn't true in the case of identical twins though.

  • @Pandasareourfuture yes it most certainly is, for example twins do have different fingerprints. I'm not that informed about gentic differences between identical twins but i've read a few articles some time ago and there are more differences in terms of their genes. in fact identical twins aren't as identical as many people may believe. i'm sorry i can't give more precise information because i simply don't know more about that theme

  • @cobyflex Identical twins contain identical DNA (as they come from the same zygote that gets split in half) which means they share all their genes. I'm aware they do have different characteristics but that can be explained by environmental factors, hence their importance in the whole nature vs nurture debate. Not sure about the fingerprints though, maybe thats epigenetic... Not arguing that not everyone is unique, but thats its to do with more than DNA as identical twins prove.

  • @cobyflex My bad lol you're right, my textbooks need updating. This doesn't bode well for my genetics degree XD

  • @Pandasareourfuture haha okay, are you studying biology or something?

  • I fucking love your voice!

  • How would lack of gravity prevent the formation of tears?

  • i never understood that if the universe continues infinitely then surely at some point you're genetic code must be replicated as the axis of time is not an issue. so there must be infinite copies of you along the history of the universe

  • AAAHHHHH... OGfurious ..... split personality

  • you can cut diamonds using a normal chisel at the right angle.

  • Male mice = Ultimate trolls ;D

  • U speak to fast do I give his 1 out of 10 :)

  • If I have a twin, it makes us not unique?

  • THank you for the info! Awesome vid!

  • what about cloning?

  • I just saved a kitten :D

  • WRONG! The gravity an astronaut feels in space is little different to the gravity we feel on the planet surface. You really need to check your facts if you are going to have a factual channel.

  • @Huttate1 he never said they did, atleast not on this video.

  • @Znyggisen Listen again. He said that due to lack of gravity, etc. He is wrong. On the ISS for instance they experience approx 90% of the gravity that you do sitting on earth.

  • @Huttate1 "In space, because of the lack of gravity......"

There is no gravity unless your close to the moon/earth or w/e. If your in "space" there is no gravity to FEEL..

  • @Znyggisen You need to go back to school. The gravity experienced on the ISS is about 90% of what you experience on the Earth.

  • @Znyggisen If there were no gravity the ISS wouldn't stay in orbit numpty! It would shoot off in the general directly of away. The ISS is in a constant state of freefall, one that matches the speed at which the Earth falls away from under it due to it's shape, in other words, orbit. The gravity is still there, it is only perceived weightlessness, much like on the so called "vomit comet" planes used in astronaut training.

  • Fact 14: Cloning somebody.

  • So how did they cut the first diamond?

  • @JonPawesome Many rocks lost their lives that day.

  • @JonPawesome awesome comment lol i dont know maybe they just found more

  • @JonPawesome with a second diamond?

  • @JonPawesome they used another diamond i guess

  • @JonPawesome well I cannot say for sure, but I think they used slice of pizza from yesterday, cause there is nothing harder than that

  • @JonPawesome LOL, thats hilarious, but i think the first diamond is probably buried deep beneath us somewhere.

  • @JonPawesome They found a diamond they thought was small enough to fit on a drill and it all went from there.

  • @JonPawesome The theory of that fact is the only way to cut the diamond without wasting the tool immediately is to put diamonds on the saws. Just imagine that a guy ruined several steel pickaxes to break the diamond. Btw way the first diamond would be either directly used to cut another diamond or it's being hacked repeatedly with pickaxes.

  • @JonPawesome lasers, he said the only natural way.

  • @JvAvCvK I do believe that people have been cutting diamonds much longer than laser technology has existed. :P

  • @JonPawesome With an uncut diamond.

  • @JonPawesome i splintert itself

  • @JonPawesome They probably found a diamond with a sharp edge to begin with. :L

  • Comment removed

  • @JonPawesome Chuck Norris did !!!

  • @JonPawesome with a stronger uncut diamond

  • What mice are the shit!!!

  • HE SHOULD BE RULER OF THE WORLD!!!!

    /BOW

  • Knew 6 of em :D

  • I thought the greatest living organism on earth was a giant fungus in the us ?

  • how is it known that the subatomic particle here can affect one on the other side of the universe?

  • @misterpotsnpans Quantum entanglement

  • yay

  • your DNA is not necessarily unique it is only based on probability (although it is highly unlikely that anyone ever has or ever will have the same DNA as you it is still possible). also Identical twins are called that for a reason, a fertilized egg under goes a separation within the first few cell divisions meaning that the genetic code for each new developing embryo is identical!

  • @TheTycarroll Yes, that is true, we aren't necessarily unique, but the probability is so low that we might as well be, because it PROBABLY never will again. In the same way that we say Electrons have no mass, even thought their mass is actually 1/1836, we might s well say 'no mass' because it is virtually nothing.

And I could have sworn twins had different finger prints? I'm probably wrong though

  • @Yubersan

I don't know about finger prints but i Know their DNA is the same, environmental factors can effect how certain genes are expressed so i guess even if you have the same DNA as someone you aren't necessarily phenotypically identical.

  • @TheTycarroll Oh, I did forget about the expressing of genes due to the environment. But yeah, I suppose you wouldn't be even you did have the same coding.

  • Can't wait for school now, question teachers!!!

  • Knew fact 2 and 3.

  • Comment removed

  • just a suggestion, next time you make a facts video you could write down the facts in a few words on the screen, so people like me dont have to replay a certain scene, or pause to think of what could have you said. i dont think it would make that big of a difference to you since i see you kind of edit every video of yours. keep it real, dean!

  • Im addicted to Dean Leysen now...

  • are you saying that Venus makes a circuit around the sun faster than it can rotate completely for its day? O.O

  • @laylali42 Its day is like 200 hundred earth days or sometin though

  • @laylali42 yup, it all depends on if it's rotating around the sun faster than around its own access.

  • @DeanLeysen ***AXIS***

I corrected Dean. My life is complete.

  • @DeanLeysen do you mean axis i'm confused.

  • @DeanLeysen axis*

  • @DeanLeysen I know english isn't your first language but to clear up any confusion it may cause it's axis not access.

  • @DeanLeysen I want my kitten

  • Slow down man.

  • I'm not most people. FACT

  • Am I the only one who understands english, but for some reason just can't understand what he says so I have to replay the same phrase 3-4 times?

  • hmm i wonder if i can merge my DNA with a Animal's yea !!

  • I've never been so depressed to be more intelligent than most people. LOLJKS I have to put up with it everyday. :/

  • a moon made of meth O_O

  • Comment removed

  • I can't understand you.

  • 1 please speak a lil slower, 2 kinda confuse here!

  • 10% of mass or 10% of weight? I'M CONFUSED

  • @Milsap98 in the scientific world, mass = weight and volume = size

  • @Maanesyge not true because the mass of an object is e.g. 20 kg, while the weight would be on our planet the gravitationforce, here 200 Newton

  • OG Furious was once OG Furios. Than he took an arrow in the knee.

  • @ kezthepieman13 are you an athiest?

  • Who doesnt know 1 and 2. wtf.

  • On four, astronauts can belch in space, there was a thing I read a few months ago, like an article on it. And astronauts can belch, but they'll belch acid into their oesophagus which is dangerous.

  • Comment removed

  • i saved a kitten :)

  • iduel2010 liked

  • This is like a foreign vlogbros

  • i was happy when you mentioned quantum entanglement and Titan.

  • More facts! You're awesome

  • the ant one.. hard to imagine milking an aphid

  • 14: and athiests exist.. Dumb ass'

  • @moytesem your logic is a bit off.

  • ok im having trouble believing most of the stuff but i know that the last one was true :P

  • Shell actually sold sea shells?!??!

  • I wonder what book about ants he read.

  • whats his real name?

  • @thedelta445 Dean Leysen

  • ants milking bugs?....... WTF?

  • I knew that Shell used to sell seashells, can you give me another fact to truly make it 14? :P

  • Every time I listen to DeanLeysen I feel all warm inside. His knowledge is GREAT and he makes me think :)

  • @Ar0474 That sounds so gay.

  • @Ar0474 sorry i meant to like :)

  • @killer108ma Haha That's fine :)

  • fuckin smart

  • @beezy99 *informed

  • what do you mean it's the only 'natural' way to cut a diamond?

  • @clamantuanguyan people can use lasers and grinders these days

  • OG Furious makes Stephen Hawking look like a noob!

  • @BeauStinsonDotCom lulz?...

  • zomg Im the only mother fucking in the world that looks this sexy!!! OG Furious said it himself!!!!

  • wtf ogfirious??!

  • Furious?!

  • COME ON..How can a laser that is a million times brighter than the sun not be able to cut a diamond??! Lets get a move on science!

BTW Dean you inspired me to start uploading vids to my channel where I talk about psychology. If you could thumb up this comment I would appreciate it, and by appreciate it, I mean I will personally thank everyone who thumbs this up. I don't know if you can see who thumbs up comments but I will certainly try.

  • @GoPsych The laser is brighter than the sun but he didn't say it was hotter than the sun. So just because it is brighter doesn't mean it could cut through Diamonds. ;)

  • In fact there is a mineral harder than diamond , you can't just find it on earth , but it was discovered in asteroid.

  • I love smosh and all but 3:30 ads??? really?!

  • How about your next video will be about fear and even how to overcome it. Fear of failing a test, fear of hights, fear of spiders, fear of the dark.

What causes fear, what happens in your brain then, what is the best way to overcome it? Because a lot of psychologists say to face your fear, but others say to slowly be surrounded by you fear untill you're used to it.

So, I would like to hear your opinion about it. I guess that all would fit in a 2/3 minute video.

    Thanks for the videos! Awesome!

  • What was the moon one?

  • MW3 or Battlefield 3 ??!!

  • @MegaBusted101 Bf3 for obvious reasons.

  • @lolizmu Nope.avi

  • Slow down fag!!!!

  • 1. make a space shit

    2. go to venus

    3. host alot of birthday parties

    4. ....

    5. PROFIT!

  • @armin3442 Except for that step 4 and 5. We don't like 4chan.

  • @shadeslate what?

  • @armin3442 Your step four and five, the "...." and "PROFIT!" are very popular 4chan and Encyclopedia Dramatica memes, I was making fun of you for using them.

    but its all good lol.

  • @shadeslate ok lol

  • couldn't you cut diamonds with graphene?

  • Can someone explain to me how subatomic particles can affect eachother from across the universe.

  • 1:21

    but Dolly had a clone!

  • @sidewaysfcs0718

we can say that there is full ass with clones. But natural ones - twins. They have same DNA as well.

  • @CArdsadET I didn't know they had the same DNA... I know a pair of twins, actually I know 3 pairs of twins :D

  • @CArdsadET hmm oh yeah i forgot about twins

also there are some special sea creatures that clone themselves

that, and alot of plants xD

  • dean you are just awesome

  • i tried to make a joke.. sorry it wasnt that good..

  • probability also states that in a infinite universe with a limited number of combinations of atoms dubbles will be crated thus no..

    i am not unique

  • Okay time to up vote someone else's comment, I think I've gotten enough responses. xD

  • Its not methane its natural Gas. BTW the moon is called Titan.

  • im not retarded

  • thewakeboardking stop being a faggot yes faggot means a bundle of sticks dont correct me on that one lol

  • by the way you should make a video explaining the concept i talked about in my preavius coment about how even though our existence is due to a series of highly unlikely coincidences beacause the universe goes on forever their are an infinite number of planets identical to us aand also an infinite number of people identical to us. im sure you get the idea. if you do decide to make a video about this i would like to mention me in it thanks

  • @thewakeboardking I absolutely love the infinite universes theory but I find it so hard to believe, it just seems so far-fetched:S

  • correction even though it is very unlikley that your exact genetic code will belong to another person. many scientists belive the universe goes on forever this means that their are any infinite amount of people with your exact genetic code through out the universe. beacause their are an infinite amount of planets that can suoport life and theirfore an infinite amount of living organisems through out the univers. this means that their are an uncountable amount of people that are identical to you

  • @thewakeboardking When you say that "the universe goes on forever" are you saying that you don't believe in the Big Bang? becuase I thought everything came from the Big Bang, even time and space.

  • @RyanSamek09 to be honest i dont know i guess i was just suggesting one theory that goes against what he said. their are varius theorys and none are proven so what i said might be right. i find the infinite univers theory fasinating but to be honest i think its a bit far fetched. the big bang theory sounds more logical but we are far away from being hable to prove that. so to answer your question i dont know. ps sorry for any spelling and or gramatical errors i made english is my 3rd language

  • @thewakeboardking I agree with you.

  • @RyanSamek09 time is just a concept and space is a concept or word for what all the planets/solar systems/galaxies etc etc are contained within.

  • @darkhummy I know that, but I think that all that still came from somewhere don't you?

  • I have difficulty to understand eveything lol : you said astronauts cant ''bet?'' and cry ? And the like is in the wunderbar ? No this one is a joke but the first I really wanna know :p

  • @EspritDeBottineQc HE said that Astronauts can't cry or BELCH (burp)

  • @rewberg Oh I see XD Thanks

  • Sources when making these vids.

  • With all the pens (bics) sold in the world, we could trace with their ink the equivalent of 20 times the Earth-Pluto round trip.

  • You can cut diamond with water as well :O

  • thats why we kill ants!

  • Europa FTW

  • There's a place where it rains meth?...

I think i just solved the drugs problem on our world.

  • I really do love watching your amazing facts have to admit so much stuff i didnt know!

  • the dna code is a rare thing?

  • How do subatomic particle can affect other particle instantaneously if the speed of force of gravity limited by the speed of light? It is makes no sense.

  • @lolretard796 It's called quantum entanglement, google/youtube it. It's quite amazing!

  • how to become happy, and maintain that happiness.. having a big struggle here..

  • I knew about Venus actually, thanks to Mass Effect.

  • them ant farmers are bullshit right?

  • If we asume that time is infinite, by sheer probablility, there will be infinitely many "you's".

However, time is probably not infinite :(

  • isnt the great barrier reef a superorganism?

  • I'm so friigin unique, I'm like a snowflake.

  • feedback? love your facts, but your editing makes them so quick i had to go back several times because i missed so much.

are you sure about the belching and tears? The tears i completely disagree with, but the belching i'm just not sure. maybe though.

  • btw love u dean

  • First of all, it's not an 'underbar' it's a 'doobly-doo'.

    AND WHERE'S THE "BOOYAH!"!??!?!?

  • You should put links to your facts in the description. Also, as everyone else has mentioned, slow. down. I end up having to go back in your videos to figure out what you were saying.

  • Sooo when I'm in Venus, I get the chance to say: Wow its such a loooong day! literally.

  • @gothiclyimposible it doesntmean you age slower or act slower.. it just means the planet moves slower than others, that's all.

  • @Terminateist The time that takes for the planet to make a complete 360* around the Sun is considered One Year.

The time that it takes for the planet to make a complete 360* around it's own centre is considered One Day.

To sum up, Venus moves around the Sun faster than it spins around it self.

  • @gothiclyimposible Time is a concept we created
