Andy Kaufman wasn't for everyone, but this bit always seemed like the best proof of his very real talent. The evolution into Vic is subtle, meticulous and amazing.

What struck me funny about this clip is how Kaufman as Latka sets it up. He says initially he will "lock himself" in a room and will change even if it takes "8 days" as if it was going to be difficult and a challenge. But he does it here in less than a minute for the most part until the last word where he slips back into Latka at the end. The contradiction and irony is the humor with Kaufman in my opinion.

This is for fellow Kaufman fans. I do not think this has been on YouTube. I have the entire episode and will hopefully be able to upload it in 3 parts. You really have to be a Kaufman fan to find Vic Ferrai funny. He is a real jerk in the rest of the episode. But a very funny jerk.
