  • not gonna lie but did the rider of the horse at 0:42 really expect the horse to jump it after he stopped? no wonder the horse reared !

  • I THINK IT IS EASY JUMPING THEM I SJ 3"0

  • what does that rider what the horse to do at :44? Jump it from a standstill?

  • Its hard to watch when they "spur" them if they won't jump!!!! Awful...

  • show jumping is my life and it is not easy!!!!!this is the best sport invented and i love it!!<3

  • who said it was easy!? showjump is very hard!

  • The rider at 1:26 and the one at 0:54 seconds recovered really well!! :D

  • At 1:24 the horse saved the rider by jumping the jump. Clever horsey :D xx

  • It would be a good vid if it wasn't for all these special effects, they kinda disturbs the vid :/

  • whats that fall at 0:59 ?

  • I would say eventing was the best sport :) and the hardest thing for any horse rider is staying in tune and balanced with you horse, which they all seem to lack. Why don't they ever take mane? I can never understand that?

  • Every word is true! I need to learn to stay on like the guy on the chesnut! Or at least how to fall without breaking something! :)

  • Nice vid :D every word you say is true !

01:26 amazing recover!! i need to be able to do that :P x

  • 1:22 SHYTE! i need to learn how to do that :)

  • i hate it when people say oh horse riding isnt a sport and all you do is sit there because its alot harder than what people think!!

  • this is so true, show jumping is not easy, I have been riding in 12 years and I love show jumping, I have fall of a horse 2 times at show jumping, the first time was when the horse didn´t want to jump, I fainted (i don´t really remember what happend, I remember that the horese didn´t want to jump and then i was laying on the ground. the other horse did a to big jump, I was riding for a swedish famous show jumper last week, she was impressed, she said I was a good show jumper :) I <3 Show jumping

  • This vid is great! i do that myself (at 3'6") and im only a teen! most people dont actually have falls/issues like this though. i've broken 3 bones (shoulder, elbow, rib) but i accept full responsibiltiy for what happened (i looked down.) whoops. i obviously try not to fall off tho, even if my horse is slightly weird.

  • Where is the video make?

    Windows movie maker?

    Or??

  • @KageBanan This one was windows movie maker. I use sony vegas now though :)

  • I jump all the time and i know its not easy:)

  • im a show jumper have been for years! its not easy at all you always need to be one step ahead of your horse or it can go wrong like this but it still doenrt always work out because ur horse can slip or trip then u have to think of a safe way to throw yourself off without being crushed or try stay on when its not as bad :D

  • If you watch carefully you actu -- oh, too late.. :L

  • Does anyone know what happened with the rider at 2:16? Looks like it very hurted :( poor rider.. And some of them are just fun haha :P

  • most amazing horse at 1:26 ! so honest! haha

  • I love show jumping!!!!! This is great video!!!!!!! Some people think is thiss easy, but tey ares very very wrong..

  • i love show jumping!!!!!! hahaha its annoying fallin off but get back on and ride!!!!! hahaha

  • love it i think the same thing i have been jumping for years and it is tricky

  • hard

  • Ur rite people in show jumpin can b vry luky n dont hrt demselvs but odrs...

When it gos rite its Absutly Amazing

  • I love show jumping. And if horses didnt like it, they wouldnt jump their hearts out! You cant make a huge animal do anything they wouldnt wanna do. Its super intimidateing to canter towards a fence at times knowing everything that could go wrong! olympians make it look too easy! =)

  • i know right show jumping is SUPER hard and who ever says other wise is dumb but i ride all styles :) my horse is perfect :D I <3 him!

  • @HorseRider1995 Oh ohk

  • @HorseRider1995 i was just saying because of what you said about western at your other comments and im not arguing with im just stating my comment. and well my tranier had alwas told me that only jockey are people who race horses and he trains some horse that go to the Olympics but i geuss you can call thoses riders jockeys.

  • @xxi0love0horsesxx aw I wasn't arguing haha, sorry if it seemed that way and I honestly know nothing about western:L there arent many places in scotland if any that do it so its only english style really... yeah ano but we loosely call showjumpers jockeys too, you hear it in commentarys

  • yes i agree that show jumping is a wonder sport but western is just as hard because you do riening which is really fun also barrels and i know that because i ride english and western and the rider that are jumping are called riders not jockey those are people who race horses.. just letting you know in case you never knew.

  • @xxi0love0horsesxx I've never done western so i'd have no idea what its like but im sure as it is horseriding then it is also very difficult, this video has nothing to do with western though so I don't know why im having folk arguing about western on it. Western hasn't even been mentioned haha :L and jockey is a term used not just to describe race riders but other riders as well. At least it is at every yard ive been at.

  • best sport EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! i totally agree! all my friends think "Oh how hard can it be to just sit on a horse?" and my response is normaly "If it were only that simple!"

  • whoa i love this video! seems like you put a lot of effort into it! omg ikr this is not a easy sport dontcha hate it when people are like what sport do you do? horseback riding. oh thats not a sport. ugh people get hurt way more in horseback riding then in basketball or tennis so boo them!

  • @DaxonizAmazin Thanks :) I made this one a while ago too, I hate it when people think its easy ! I have done a lot of different sports and none have been as hard for me as horseriding :L

  • from 01:20 - 01:31 it takes a lot of guts to stay on. I'm starting jumping and I can't wait! Lol. I absolutely love the sport.

  • So true!!!! This is the story of my life

  • part 01:20 - 01:31 thats cool!! :) Respect for that!!

  • Yes it really is!! =)

  • Ur welcome :). Im really happy that ur not mad at me :D And now i really love showjumping :)

  • @turpoemmelie Haha its fine, i like it when people apologise haha, and thats good :) theres no other sport quite like it...

  • at 2:16 is the horse okay?

  • showjumping is fun, but not easy

  • Amazing! :D

  • I agree with everything in this video... Except that "You don't see footballers breaking their necks do you?"... Well, actually, yes...

  • @MrsDanielTosh Thanks but as for footballers breaking necks, I assure you I have never ever heard or seen that happening. I think your assuming I am American which I'm not. I know American football is violent. But as I am Scottish then football is something different. I think it's called soccer in America.

  • you are defiantly right show jumping is NO WAY EASY i had a jumping competition for the first time in about a year and i had too migraines and fell of once ok the jumps weren't as big as the were in the video ^^^ but still i fell off on a 3 ft jump so yes i agree SHOW JUMPING IS NOT EASY

  • Showjumping is the awsomest thing eevr invented! I love it!

  • Well, I don't think jumping is amazing, or hard. I am western, and I jump my horses over logs, I never have problems. English is just a horrid way to ride.

  • @CrazyWesternRider You jump your horses over 'logs'. Which is absolutely no where near as difficult as jumping a horse round a complete course of 1m50+ jumps. You ride Western not English and therefore cannot give a proper opinion on Showjumping as it is an English discipline. I never slate Western riding so please keep your rude comments to yourself.

  • @HorseRider1995 So? English is still stupid.

  • @CrazyWesternRider If English was so stupid then why is all the main English disciplines in the Olympics? Showjumping, Dressage AND Eventing all are in it. No Western disciplines are which suggests that English is superior. I have never tried Western so again this is not my personal opinion. Get off my videos and stop making rude comments about something you clearly have absolutely no idea about at all.

  • @CrazyWesternRider ahem excuse me? what you just said is a OPINION! YO KEEP YO MOUTH SHUT! you know how sometimes you need to keep your opinions to yourself??? anyway you have a stupid reason to fight about so bye!

  • @DaxonizAmazin Actully I have jumped over 4 foot with my Arab, and it WAS easy. I will hopefully put up some vid of me my Appy, and my Paso jumping atleast 4ft Western. I still think it is STUPID! And why use such a tight rein? Why pull so much. I have ridden my 2 year old Paso, Annee, with no bridle and she was PERFECT.

  • @CrazyWesternRider good for you... if i ever get a horse i wont use a bit

  • 1:30 SKILLED!

  • 01:28 skill

  • What I think a lot of people don't understand about riding is that it is %100 about communication. While riding is "unnatural" it is not anymore cruel than playing fetch with your dog who also would not "naturally" participate. Just like people, horses react to physical cues. Because most riders love their horses, they treat them as friends. With people we may flick them or tap them to say "hey, wake up, we're about to do something", same with horses. It doesn't mean we hurt, or force them.

  • @yeyspeedy Very true... I hate it when non-riders assume we force horses to do anything. It really annoys me.

  • @HorseRider1995 Yup because as much as sometimes we'd like to (eg. "Please! It's not a scary jump, it's only like a foot tall, and there are people watching! Please! I'll give you carrots!") we really can't. It doesn't work that way. It also bugs me when people assume they don't have fun. Again, like a dog playing fetch, they do have a lot of fun!

  • @HorseRider1995 i agree, trust me if horses didnt want to do something, they wouldn't

  • @HorseRider1995 I hate when people say we force them its sooo annoying like My horse loves to jump if he cant jump he is insane after a week one time i didnt jump him for a month he went insane cause he loves to show what he gots its a partner ship and its trust! thats what people dont understand

  • i love show jumping i have been jumping for 3 years now and show but not in jumping btw good video

  • i cant do that yet becuase i am only 11 but one day i hope i can do that and get everything right and even enter the world cup when i am onder and i do like cross country

  • At like 1:30 ish, that dude was EPIC!

  • I hope i don't fall off that bad when i start to do show jumping but i do have a good horse that likes to jump :) poor horses

  • ok i dont know what the person at the top of this page has been smoking but i am a show jumper and i enter dressage, and i admit some horses are afraid of the jumps and most people do not care, but if you have a connection at all with your horse clearly you will be able to read the warning signals of refusal, such as say id ont know stopping, kicking and throwing the rider. it does not hurt the horse i refuse to use a whip on my horses, if i fall id rather check the horse than myself.

  • showjumping isnt amasing!!!! It hurts the horse really bad!!! Look at part 2:43 - 2:45, look at the horse eyes!! The horse is afraid!!! Afraid of to do something wrong as the rider take hard to the reins and hurts its mouth, or use the whip and hurts its body!!! It cruel!!!! THEY POOR ANIMALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =( . I have riden natruel horsemanship in 4 years now, so i know the horse body language very well!!!! And i can see that the horse is afraid, it show it with its eyes!!! =(

  • @turpoemmelie If you did showjumping you would realise most horses enjoy it. Yes some people are horrible to their horses and yes these people should be disqualified but just because one person hurts/frightens their horse doesnt mean everyone in showjumping does it. Please don't judge the whole sport by one bad practioner.

  • @HorseRider1995 sorry, when i was writing this i wasnt very clever. And now i have learned what you said. Im really sorry that i was so stupid to you, again sorry. And great video!! =)

  • @turpoemmelie No worries :) im not one for holding grudges hehe, thanks and glad you enjoyed the video.

  • @turpoemmelie yehh maybe you 'know horse body language' but some horses like it and tbh the person who made this video obv loves show jumping, keep your opinions to your self

  • Whats the name of the first song? 0:04

  • this is so true

    !

  • this is soooo true!

  • and this is a video showing how dificult show jumping must be for the riders? take a look at the horses...

  • @Marixxen2 I am well aware that it is difficult for the horses, of course it is. This video is showing how difficult showjumping is in the whole as many ignorant people think the humans just sit there and let the horse do the work.

  • @HorseRider1995 Of course, i totaly agree on that one. I am "higly experienced" when it comes to that and have heard it myself more then once. Yet, there is so many of the horses suffering when they don't want to jump, and nobody is disqualified even when they beat their horses... Last time I checked it was illegal to beat innocent animales: So how it comes to be all right even in a public competition, is very disterbing on the behalf og horses' welfare... i think

  • @Marixxen2 I agree with what your saying there. People who are cruel to their horses should be disqualified straight away. Ive ridden many jumping horses and they are willing to jump without the use of crops/spurs etc etc. If you have to use these then the horse must not want to do it. I firmly believe if a horse is brought up properly then all these gadgets are not needed. Sadly some cruel people ruin the image of an otherwise fun, enjoyable sport for both horses and riders.

  • @HorseRider1995 Amen. It must be some fun for horses to jump, I truly believe that too, but: I also think that joy if long gone when the horse needs to forced...

  • 1:20-1:31 is "F"ing amazing

  • I hate the way proffesionals, when their horse stops or frightens at a jump, they either try to force the horse to jump from a bloody stand still or yank the reint till it's head comes off!

  • i know show jumping isn't easy, but it is very fun!!! i have 20 horses!!!

  • Horses are live animals, footballers control themselves, when people are on a horse the horse controls what they do

  • amazing :D

    great video

  • it's an interesting video, but must you really use every "cool" effect the video software program has? no offense, but I find it hard to watch because of that.. :/

  • @RedHyuuga fair enough but i made this video two years ago, i was like 13 at the time, my newer ones are not as full of effects because i dont like it

  • @HorseRider1995 I've just recently had this video course in school and the teacher mentioned this about that too many effects will destroy the movie, but I guess all is good since we all learn as long as we live :D

  • This video is truley amazing! x

  • 02:14 OMG that guy must have broken his leg :O

  • 1:22 - NICE SAVE!!!!!!

  • @Diggubuh that was like the awesome one he like got back in the saddle after the next jump!

  • Um yeah, Football players break bones all the time.. I'm sorry but there are probably more injuries in football than in equestrian. "You don't see footballers breaking necks"? Really? Come on.. I'm a huge fan of both equestrian and football, but I gotta side with football on this one.

Well, unless by footballers you mean soccer players, then maybe your argument is valid... lol

  • @LightingInvoker I would think its equal really but tbh I dont know anything about American football, I wrote that because I know of about 6 or 7 people who have broken necks or collarbones that are clsoe to me. 12 people died in the UK alone eventing last year, I know american football is violent but I still dont think they woul break necks cos tbh it looks jsut like rugby except we dont wear all the padding crap , and i was talking about 'soccer' but im not american so its football.

  • @HorseRider1995 I'd say that broken collar bones and necks aren't as common, but it's happened. I'm Canadian and our "superbowl" is the Grey Cup and one of the players broke his leg (and they had to keep playing it back in slow montion, too). Eventing is so scary to watch!! Jumping immovable objects freaks the hell out of me. Deaths in the sport aren't surprising to me.

  • @LightingInvoker yeah i agree with u but i think her point is that when ur playing football ur not on top of a 1500 pound animal with a mind of its own! :)

  • @equine247 True :)

  • @LightingInvoker hahaha yah

  • @LightingInvoker

Hey it is not like im against your aurgument but showjumping is harder than football cuz i dont see football in the olympics. I know many football players that pee their pants if a horse gets close to them never the less jump a what? four ft jump?????

  • 2.14 OUCHHH!!

  • woo nicely sat at 1.33

  • aww i love this vid so much x

  • well.. u havnt broke my neck just my wrist :( bucked off :P hurts specially as barebackk nd he was in gallopp wen i was in trot :OO awesomee vid .. It is a hard sport but is fun at the same timee :)

  • that'some stuff i ride i win alot but wen u fall it hurts !!!

  • awsome vidio i wish ther was some more people that get ther is more too riding a horse than just sitting :):)

  • god i want to ride in the prand prix so bad when i get older.. to bad my family are not horse people and my only horse is a paint mare who i have to train on my own. thankfully my leason barn is wonderful but stilk

  • @isthatreallyyouetf im sure you'll do fine with her :) ive got a welsch cob section D gelding who ive broken in myself with no help at all and im taking him to his first shows in summer, yes theyre only caverswall and arent exactly big ones, but its a start and he loves jumping, he goes over everything, even things you dont want him to, so keep a positive head cuz youve had the guts to train your own horse instead of paying someone else to do it, and i can see you doing well with her :) good luk

  • @lottieluvs thanks :) ive looked at welsch cobs before. theyre so cewt :3 my mare indy, sadly will not jump anything higher that about a foot right now. shes doing better though.

  • @isthatreallyyouetf do you lunge her? cuz if you do try putting a little jump up for her as like a fun thing after a good work out and then give her loads of praise. That might work, sorry if it doesnt. You could always try and change the look of the jumps or make them into a spread?

  • @lottieluvs yes, i have tried that alot. she will avoid the jump even though sometimes it is just s ground pole. I think she might have a back problem? she has never really bucked so much before this. its geting out of hand i might havea vet check it out

  • @isthatreallyyouetf let me no how you go on with her, i hope theres nothing wrong with her cuz she sounds lovely, a bit cheeky but that just gives her character lol

  • @lottieluvs ahaha sure no prob:)

  • thank you so much for explaining to peolple how hard it is

  • Amazing :)

  • Wow the same course took alot of casualties! Tough course builder!

  • ohhh and btw horserider is hard i was on this pony / horse where i ride and i must of did my stirrups wrong coz in canter i came off head first and could of broke my neak annd in same lesson i came off into the jump and again she galloped the last jump and i fell off again :L wasnt my lucky dayy :// my mate came off at a chase me charlie and hurt her leg badly :S anyway great vid (: imma be more careful na lmao

  • I love horsejumping but im nearly always falling off lol!

  • such a good vid

i get really pissed off when people are like anybody can ride! all you do is sit there and do nothing

  • lol, at 1:39 that horse is just like "why did you come off?"

  • 1:00 I thort the jocky was gonna hit the wing! Phew!!

I go to Stretton Feilds and there's a Yard Show on in 3 weeks. Im gonna do the Show Jumping thing and, after that, I'm really worried!! I'm gonna record it so watch out for any new vids!!

  • only a few of these are bad falls.

  • 1:21 awesome horse and rider

  • amazing <3

  • 0:40 - very stupid rider... the horse can't jump that height from a standstill! oh my!

1:23 to 1:31 is amazing! he got back his balance when the horse went over the jump! that was so awesome :)

    thnx for posting :)

  • 00:39, from then on it looks like the horse is dancin' to the beat!

  • @xAMAZONSxxxCYANIDEx aw i never noticed that :L

  • @HorseRider1995 cute huh (: <3 just gotta love dancing horses

  • It's not the most horrid falls though thank god O.O some of them looks really awful of what uve seen. but showjumping and horses are awesome <3

  • wow your retarded football players break there necks all the time!

  • @Lavonnster what do you mean ? lol

  • @Lavonnster how? when another idiot kicks the head? o.O

  • @Lavonnster riding is well worse mateyy god u break legs can be killed havent u seen half the articles where ppl die !!! its well more worse than bloody football try riding for years fallin of breakin noses neaks legs arms ribs being paralized or killed then u will see how flamin ard it iz!!!!!!

  • @Lavonnster ohhhh another thing there are millions who have been badly hurt and in just plane lessons i did by fallin off in the winter when it nearly finished on to icey floor not rock hard but rather hard and i couldnt walk much the few days later it was painful so think be4 comeentin

  • @Lavonnster football= soccer

  • great vid!!

  • I LOVE THIS and I LOVE HORSES!

  • It makes me so mad when people say that horse back riding is easy beacuse its not ecspecially jumping it us really hard what I tell them is I am an equestrian and have more muscle than you nd you play basketball or something like that

  • i LOVE this video...it sums up horseback riding!!!! Jumping is really hard and even when u think its hard u dont even no till u have a bad fall....trust me....

  • @538Hannah thankss:) i just made this to show all the annoying people that horseriding isnt easy ! does my head in when people say that and half the time they have never actually tried riding! I know i don't like bad falls:( i havent broken a bone or anything yet though but ive landed on fences before and that hurts :L

  • @HorseRider1995 hahaha your welcome.....ikr i hate people who just think its so easy and they havent even ridden b4!!!! i always ask people "how can 3000lb of muscle not be exercise???"

  • I no its really hard and yes that message is true lol and it is so hard to get right!! ;) x

    weel doone gr8 vid

  • it's really. plain. cool. gives chills down the back of my spines lol.

  • 1:22. AMAZING recovery!! great vid

  • AWESOME VID I AGREE TOTALLY! it so isnt easy!

  • WOW what an amazing video! Well done, I have goose bumps ;)

And the message ist really true!

Sitting on a horse and not falling down, is easy... but riding/jumping is one of the (or even THE) most difficult kind of sport in the world...

    greeting from Germany

(hope, I haven't done too many mistakes)

  • Thanks:) that's why I made this video cos it is so hard! Wow your from Germany , that's prettyy cool, ma mum loves Germany. Thanks again for thee comment:):)

  • thankss everyone for your lovely comments!! I never expected this vid to be so successful lol x

  • don't get me wrong...it is harder 2 ride english and jump than ppl give it credit for, but itz not as hard as u make it seem...

  • barrelracer245- all riding styles are difficult, from what other people have told me , English is slightly more difficult but i don't know as i have never ridden Western because in Scotland no-one rides Western style. It is as hard as i make it seem but I am only oding form the English point of view because that is the style I ride in, no-one has said western is easy .

  • i love this video. riding a horse realy is not that easy especially jumping. i like that you pointed out that riding is not easy. great job!!!(=(}--{)

  • Thats really good well done x

  • Well done! Nice job, I faved and rated : )

  • 1:30... amazing

    so true..

show jumping is not easy it takes alot of work... amaizing riders for staying on and those who didnt... well they are still great :)

  • yea i am currently training my 4 y/o and my friend and i were riding and he all of a sudden goes into one of he crazy moments.

She saw how i controled him and then suddenly got the idea horse back riding was easy.

Well she found that out that it wasnt when she attempted to jump 2ft.

    Silly sammy :)

  • i love this video the message is so true

  • you should always let go of the reins when you land, it annoys me when professionals dont! very good video by the way, its message is very true aswell! :D

  • what the people who made comments cant ride????
