I was lucky enough to go to the live screening of this. Shaun started the show late because he accidently put something in his eyes thinking it was saline when it was something quite irritating.
At the end of the sketch when Wayne got to the door to exit, he turned back and made some comment like "Well least I'm not dumb enough to go putting toxic chemicals in my eyes!" Funny stuff.
No worries. This sketch is from the first episode of this season. Apparently a few people weren't familiar with the show and thought it was real. Micallef says on the commentary track of the DVD that they received a few complaints because of this.
"But... he's gay! I mean gay! Sorry, he's blind."
