  • Oh man!! very impressive!! You are one lucky guy.

I love Moorish Idol but never even dream of purchasing one.

  • Still got him?

  • @liquidbrickle there is a very remote chance the idol is still alive, almost three years is almost impossible

  • @CrypticWatcher no its not...i personally know people who have had Moorish Idols for years, good water quality and mimicking there environment to the best of your ability is what you need. one really important thing with Moorish idols and almost any saltwater fish is how the fish were caught and the care they were given before they came into your tank.

  • nitrite

  • might i ask how is the idol doing now? if not how long did you have him for?

  • they dont do well in captivity. they die

  • Toy Story on in the background?

  • Hungry-Hungry fish. Arn't you feeding him too much food. He looks very healthy

  • What's the update on your Moorish Idol now? I've heard that they don't last too long in captivity. It's a shame, because they are gorgeous fish.

  • hi, how is the moorish idol now?

  • OH MY GOODNESS! A MOORISH IDOL THAT EATS PELLETS! That this is priceless. You are one lucky man to either bought it that way or trained it. That baby will live FOREVER! Awesome video...I'm surprised you didn't have any tangs or butterflyfish. Doesn't matter, that moorish idol is clearly the showcase fish here.

  • I have 4 of these in tanks I care for. Beautiful fish. Hard to keep but Gorgious. You want to keep your tank at salt 1.20 nitrate 14 alk 4 calcium 550

  • Moorish Idol need 120+ gallons One in a 50 gallon is a stupid move on your part.

  • What are your water parameters like? Is the Moorish Idol still alive?

  • What size tank do you have? I want a moorish idol for my 55 gallon but don't want to be too small for him if I ever get one.

  • 0:20 the fish hits hes head on the rock and in the background you hear a boom

  • My english isn't very good: The moorish idol are the most hardest fish to keep in a tank... and your tank ist too small... But i think that they are the most beautiful seawater fishes !

  • He seems happy.

  • you should put them in a biggest tank man

  • poor idol... belongs in the sea...

  • Nice looking Idol,May try one someday.

btw I like the baby bangiis.

  • Your moorish idol requires a much larger reef aquarium at least six feet in length minimum. plenty open swimming space. Your fish is vegetarian and should be fed macro algae like Caulerpa and sponge. The most revolutionary available commercial food is New Life spectrum food by Pablo Tepoot. To this beautiful fish healthy for the long term get this food in the 2mm size pellets. Please do what is best for your fish and his chances of thriving will be a lot better.

  • i like to eat lemon whahaha

  • hey imarieaa this guy whom u are talking to is a pro is this kinda of business

so I suppose ur comments should be kept to urself as this is not an easy fish to have in a home environment mate

  • Don't they need a huge tank? Like 125+? He won't last more than 5-6 months in a small aquarium fyi. The stress of the small environment will eventually kill him.

  • yea i know. we'll see how long he lasts....

  • let's see how long you will last in the bathroom, what you think about it?

  • hehe hey ur morish in main tank now ?

    not in quaratine ar hehe

  • wow, that's cold. you should have a little more regard for the poor guy.

  • yes it is a pretty fish isnt it (;

  • HEY lemon hehe nice morish idol so pretty

  • Agreed
