Pyrenees don't catch. It is beneath them. They are lazy bums- until a stranger person or animal comes on the property. then you better call them off quick, or there will be hamburger. LOL

@helwir1984 My Great Pyrenees, just turned a year old so still a puppy, she will do tricks for toys and play fetch, chase, and anything else playful. She was raised by a hyper overly playful german shepherd...probably has something to do with it...

@AllisonNicoleAprile this dog has a better life than most do. He gets attention he gets to be inside when he wants he gets to be outside when he wants. he has a 118 acres of land. He gets food and water and baths and groomed... yeahhhh getting a tennis ball thrown at his head is DEFINITELY reason to call the ASPCA.

LOL this dog totally reminds me of my Great Pyenees puppy, Karma is 9 weeks old, and has the activity level of a slug. Every now and then she likes to play, and when she does, its mostly bouncing around and barking. Gotta love it ! :D

My pyr liked to wrestle a little after we'd had him for a few months, but he'd hop at you. You know how Pepe LePew hops in those old Looney Toons cartoons? That's how he would hop, with this big dumb grin on his face. He'd also roll over on his back and flail around, sometimes he'd grab our pantslegs and tug at them to get attention. He was so cute... God, he's been gone for a year and I still miss him.

If dogs were cars, that dog is like the Acura TL of dogs. You fill it up with premium unleaded, that's the fuel type it's engine needs, if you fill it up with regular unleaded, then it won't runvery well. In analogy, the Great pyrenees needs to be fed and excercised more than other dogs.

Great pyrenees are really great dogs, they're a luxury sedan of dogs.

Great Pyrenees are not like normal dogs, they are working dogs and prefer to be protecting a flock of sheep than playing fetch.
