Why would you spend sooo much money on a Cdj900 or Cdj2000 if you just use it in traktor? You can buy some other amazing hardware for way less money...
@JasperBR4 you're right, I don't think many would buy a CDJ900/2000 just to use as a controller, but in clubs that already have them in, it's a handy option for Traktor users.
With so many flavours of DJing available now, the more options the merrier... though some purists wont agree!
@rpungin2 this video was made after Pioneer made a firmware update to the CDJ that means it can control traktor natively. No timecode, no need for a TSI, and this is a demonstration of that added functionality alone.
It wasn't meant to be an exhaustive insight into using it as a MIDI controller, but thanks for your feedback.
Can you do this with the cdj 350? and can you get the DJM 350 to work with it? so you have 2 cdj 350´s and a DJM 350? working with traktor crossfaders on the mixer and stuff? not sure i put this right but hope you can help !!
it's weird but slip mode works for me in traktor..... another thing, when i use the link function, it wouldn't let me choose which deck i want to assign my cdj to.... when i push the push button, it goes straight onto saying your device is connected. that's why i'm using timecode now.
@drumkiter Absolutly. im not a "scratch" dj per say, but they are very responsive and no digitizing to the sound as you scratch very slowly if you test em out. check around for videos on youtube, i know i did before buying
Do we have to choose the decks A or B in CDJ's every time we connect it to the laptop or assigning it once would be enough
