Toomey wants to roll back restrictions on all big Corps....This lack of oversight is what led to the wall st crash, and the gulf oil spill. Toomey thinks women shouldn't have the right to choose, Toomey doesn't care how much PAs air and water are polluted. Toomey friend to big business not avg. citizens.
Toomey supports sending business and JOBS overseas to avoid taxes....So thats your answer? Toomey is an extreme right winger dressed up as a moderate. Read some of his book, if you have the stomach for it.
@harwicke The cap and trade agenda for which Sestak voted would have raised energy prices and encouraged energy-intensive businesses to ship jobs to China. REAL Democrats don't destroy working people's jobs to enrich Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan Chase (named explicitly by Sestak's fellow Democrat, Kirsten Gillibrand, as beneficiaries of cap and trade).
@connecticutmommmy Belle is Sestak's poodle, Sestak is Obama's and Pelosi's poodle. Too bad there is not enough time to make a cartoon of this for use in the campaign--put Sestak's head on a poodle that is sitting in Obama's or Pelosi's lap.
If Toomey were not running, I would vote for Belle Sestak before I would vote for Joe Sestak. On another note, the insane Roman Emperor Caligula made his horse a Roman Consul, but at least the Romans got the ENTIRE horse--we got Barack Obama.
We deserve leaders who SOLVE problems, not "leaders" (e.g. Obama, Pelosi, Sestak) who ARE problems. As for Wall Street, the purpose of cap and trade as supported by Sestak is to enrich firms like Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan Chase, both of which stand to profit from commissions in carbon trading. This comes directly from Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's (D-NY) op-ed in the Wall Street Journal last October. Google on "Gillibrand" and "cap and trade."
Belle's solid waste fits into a small plastic bag, but it will take a shovel to clean up the mess the Donkey left behind it during the past two years. I speak specifically of ObamaCare, for which Sestak voted, and the cap and trade scam for which Sestak also voted. To this may be added Sestak's association with the Brady Campaign, the same group behind the Million Mom March that was caught using tax-exempt money for electioneering purposes.
I laughed REALLY hard when I saw this piece of dung. It was the actions of the CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) which forced banks to make loans to people who couldn't afford them or face huge fines. The CRA was instituted by Carter, given real teeth by Clinton and regulation of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac was opposed by Frank and Dodd. There are literally NO Republican names on this debacle and Sestak claims he is cleaning up a Republican mess? What a turd!
@David5603 Which party has worked endlessly to erode regulations on wall street the banks, and big corps? The GOP of course! This lead to millions losing their shirts, and the nations biggest oil spill......Thanx GOP!
Funny - Bush's dog comes into the living room and takes a dump on the carpet. That was not a good thing. And to solve the problem, Obama's dog takes a dump 3 times the size within a short time of moving in. And some blame only one dog for the mess.
@harwicke Sestak deserves respect and credit for his service, and that cannot be taken away from him, but his "officer and gentleman" seems to have stayed in the Navy while PA got a common politician like any other. Sestak's friends in the Brady Campaign would have been expelled from the U.S. Naval Academy within a month for lying, cheating and, if one counts solicitation of money and volunteer time under false pretenses as stealing, that as well.
The fat homosexual Barney Frank in 2003, while the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee, opposed a Bush administration proposal, in response to accounting scandals, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Frank stated, "These two entities...are not facing any kind of financial crisis.... In 2007 he became the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee. SESTAK is so full of doggie DOO-DOO!!
Hey Sestak you should have taken the bribe Obama offered you...although that would mean you'd be one of the first to be subpoenaed by Rep.Issa...Jan 19th 2011 let the Obama impeachment trials begin
Pat Toomey and his ilk are a large part of the problem. These are are same people we voted out 2 years ago. Friends of the banks. You gotta be blind if you don't see that.
Joe Sestak was in Congress from January 2007 forward; Toomey had left Congress two sessions earlier. Did he do anything to intervene in the Fannie/Freddie debacle before it imploded and nearly took the global financial system with it? Or did he follow the lead of Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, and Chris Dodd in pushing for further government interventions in the mortgage markets to expand housing?
Fuck you moron.... the mess you reference was created by moron Democrats Dodd and Frank with your help. The financial mess was ALL because Democrats keep giving money to people who don't work... like the Unions!
@dsfox Why? It won't work. Sestak's biggest weakness is that he's a Democrat. You can't convince people to vote for a party they categorically reject.
@cmfield828 So the GOP controlled Congress and the white house, as the surplus was squandered, and the record debt was created. Also they presided while the banking regulations were eased which helped create the bank crises which led to the bail out.
@harwicke The Clinton era surplus was a product of the GOP controlled house. Yeah, they squandered it, but they also created it. The Bush administration's only great failure was forgetting the core values of conservatism. Spend like a Democrat, destroy things like a Democrat.
@harwicke Yes, sure it so simple. Your part of the problem if you buy this B.S. BOTH parties are complicit since the damage started long ago, not just the last eight years.
PLEASE, PA! Vote for Sestak! C'mon! It shouldn't even be a contest! Comparing a three star admiral who served his country honorably for 31 years to right wing goof ball Wall St. derivatives trader who ripped us all off and almost caused our economy to implode?

@rplinpa Hell what is the point in paying 670 BIllion new taxes for something that is going to cause our insurance prices to increase also? That makes no sense what so ever.
Good thing they didn't go with the first cut which had Joe saying, "I authorize this message... and so does Belle... don't you authorize this message? Yes you do! Yes, you do! Oh, who's a bad little goggie... is it you? Is it? Who wants their chew toy? Who wants her widdle chew toy?" etc.
While Pat Toomey was getting rich with scams on Wall St. and making poor everyone on Main St., Joe Sestak was in the Navy leading America's bravest in defense of America.
@dizzymasekela real American heroes don't force their congressional staff to work 7 days a week, even through holidays. Word is Sestak is one of the worst congressmen on the hill to work for. I'm glad he lost, while I admire his service in the military, this jerk needs to take a hike
Great ad! I guess the truth hurts, especially since some individuals feel it is appropriate to leave comments that are insulting and disrespectful to a decorated Navy veteran and the highest ranking member of the military serving in Congress. So much for their patriotism and endless claims of supporting the troops! God bless you, Admiral. You can count on my entire family to support your run for the Senate!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
What a shameful, disgusting ad. Can't Democrats lose with dignity? You're an embarrassment to PA, Joe! Your mother should have taken your advice and had an abortion!
@mattrmc19 HEY! Cong. Sestak was out there protecting our country for decades. And this is how you disrespect him?? You little ingrate, you should be forced to eat Belle's "mess."
@klonowski76 ...additionally, from 2007-09, Republicans and Democrats both had 49 seats. If we are going to take some time to tell the truth, Democrats have only had a true majority since 2009. Facts are inconvenient sometimes, aren't they?
Wow! What can I say but Wow! I have been convinced! Politics is all about dog feces! I will NEVER be able to vote again without thinking of a plastic bag of poop!
@klonowski76 Did you know that Republicans had the majority in the House AND Senate from 1995-2007 (except '01-'03 when it was 50-50 in the Senate)? Let's think about this for a second... Republicans had 12 years of majority rule, and Democrats have had 3 years. Hmmm.. 12 vs. 3, 12, 3...
Why do people forget this? Democrats did not ruin the economy in three years, Republicans did it over TWELVE YEARS. You can't fix over a decade of Republican's chipping away at our economy in three years.
Interesting how something so illogical could pass as a serious advertisement of leadership. The whole premise of his argument is that politicians should stop playing politics by focusing on the problems instead of the political opponents, yet rather than offer solutions to these problems he simply points out that his opponent wont fix them. It's a oxymoronic commercial that discredits its' self.
Only partisans could fall for such crap.
Want solutions? End the "Fed" Reserve fraud factory!
Hey, Joe, we are going to clean up come November 2 you Democrats that ruined our economy; full employment Republican Congress under both Pres CLinton and Pres GW Bush.
Sorry, Donaldubh, you can find the data on BLS.gov. As Twain said, better to keep you mouth shut and let people think you are ignorant than open it so they know for sure.
@klonowski76 you insufferable twit, the quote is ' better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt' but why do I bother...? you are making the point wonderfully.
lies. the unemployment rate was far higher... but you know that...
the debt? try adding in wars... but you know that...
and Klownski? the U.S. might be considerably better off had you the input of informed foreigners rather than willfully ignorant citizens such as yourself... have a nice day!!!
@klonowski76 ...additionally, from 2007-09, Republicans and Democrats both had 49 seats. If we are going to take some time to tell the truth, Democrats have only had a true majority since 2009. Facts are inconvenient sometimes, aren't they?
Without the things Admiral Sestak voted for, the US car industry would be toast. Not the kind you have in the morning, the kind that employs 6 million people. The US banks would be toast. Not just the ones that are doing things like try to foreclose on paid for houses, but the ones where your money is.
What I know is a few years of people like Toomey, or Phil Gramm or thank God the Constitution says he's done, W in charge, and we're screwed.
Wow. I'm convinced! Your opponent and Bush are to blame BECAUSE YOU SAY SO. I'm sure all the undecided voters of PA will simply accept that assumption and vote for you.
Voted YES on additional $825 billion for economic recovery package. (Jan 2009)
Voted YES on $15B bailout for GM and Chrysler. (Dec 2008)
Voted YES on $2 billion more for Cash for Clunkers program. (Jul 2009)
"The National Rifle Association also began chiming in on television and radio in recent days to attack Sestak, accusing him in vague terms of advancing a radical agenda to take away Second Amendment rights."
@TheUSVET get real. What would have happened had the banks been closed? hmm? what about allowing the car manufacturers to go bust? just ridiculous.
You may have reasons to oppose Sestak but those aren't valid. You may also want to check who is paying for those NRA ads that speak in 'vague terms' of Sestak's 'radical agenda'... think harder... it wont hurt...much
@donaldubh None of that would have happened had they understood that Uncle Sam would not have rescued them.
The government did not save the car industry. It just preserved and worsened two of the three American manufacturers. Ford is posting profits and didn't get a dime in government aid.
What a dopey ad. Only for true believers who closed their eyes the year when the democratic run congress refused all please from President Bush and republican congressmen to get Fannie and Freddie under control. Many of these interchanges on the floor of congress are on Youtube, search them out and learn a little so our country doesn't go down the tubes courtesy of the Tax and Spend Democrats who brought on this crisis by ignoring sound fiscal principles in pursuit of votes and bribes.
Fannie and Freddie were at most 5% of the mortgage meltdown. The other 95% was private banks and mortgage companies deliberately making bad loans that they then sold as investments. The Republicans encouraged this bad behaviour with their "ownership society" nonsense. Remember that it was a big campaign theme of one George W. Bush. Now the Republican crooks are trying to avoid responsibility by blaming Fannie and Freddie. Lies, lies, and more lies. That's all Republicans have to offer
Great commercial. Bush and the GOP have trashed the economy and endangered the world banking system. Hope that Sestak and other progressive Dems can clean this crap up!
@bayernguy - The congress that makes the laws and regulations has been Dem controlled since 2007. Are you better off now than you were in 2006? I know I'm not. And I'm one independent that regrets those Ds I voted for.
@klonowski76 wow... I dont know how to help you. You have your head so far up your own ass that it will require technology currently undiscovered. In the meantime I will simply call you a filthy liar. Have a nice day.
@bayernguy Thats so funny since things didnt get bad till democrats got control in 07 before they did unemployment was 4.3%. deficit was 161 billion, debt was 8 Trillion. 4 years of democrat control unemployment is over 9.5% for 14 mths. Deficit is over a trillion and debt is over 13 trillion. So just what mess are the democrats cleaning up? Health insurance is going up. Taxes going up and no jobs THanks democrats
@bayernguy Name me a successful Fiat money system? They all fail and are biased towards the bankers and central banks. Both parties have contributed to propping up this 39 year experiment called the US dollar.
@bayernguy Get your facts straight. The mess goes back partly to the dimwit Carter. And as for the progressive part. If you think that copying failed European ideas is progressive, then you should be banned from voting, because then you're clearly not sane. Obamacare, spending like crazy, "immigration reform", more control from the government, all tried in Europe and all coming down as one hell of a shit storm.
Europe will burn thanks to crap like that. The US will too, if you nuts carry on.
Bush is just as guilty of passing bailouts that have not worked and have placed more debt onto future generations. Obama said unemployment would go to 8% if we didn't hurry quickly and pass more stimulus, IT'S AT 10%. US total debt with interest is $54,000,000,000,000. That's $672,000 from each family in the United States. All because the past two presidents have done absolutely nothing but grown government with Obama accelerating it at the speed of light. You couldn't even extend our tax cuts.
jhamm999 in favor of Toomey and The China getting their third senator representing them in US Senate. The Chamber of Commerce money from China is going to make sure their boy Toomey gets ellected
@frigoria oh how quickly we forget. the money from obamas campaign in 2008 that was at least as suspect. the chinese money from the clinton gore regime. besides someone needs to show some proof that this is happening.
And btw, in case some here might have misunderstood me, I'm not voting for Sestak because of that ad, but because I support his positions and because I detest Toomey's positions.
Hey Sestak, I love you man, but that was below the belt.
If that bunch could solve anything, why the heck would they be Republicans? Wouldn't they just be Democrats, maybe even Blue Dog Democrats? The reason they are Republicans is because they want to create problems for this country. This is like blaming the dog because it barks when you want it to speak in English.

While Pat Toomey was getting rich with scams on Wall St. and making poor everyone on Main St., Joe Sestak was in the Navy leading America's bravest in defense of America.
Joe Sestak is a genuine American hero.
Vote for Joe Sestak!

You can count on my entire family to support your run for the Senate!

klonowski76 1 year ago
@klonowski76 Did you know that Republicans had the majority in the House AND Senate from 1995-2007 (except '01-'03 when it was 50-50 in the Senate)? Let's think about this for a second... Republicans had 12 years of majority rule, and Democrats have had 3 years. Hmmm.. 12 vs. 3, 12, 3...
Why do people forget this? Democrats did not ruin the economy in three years, Republicans did it over TWELVE YEARS. You can't fix over a decade of Republican's chipping away at our economy in three years.
cstrosser 1 year ago 3
Interesting how something so illogical could pass as a serious advertisement of leadership. The whole premise of his argument is that politicians should stop playing politics by focusing on the problems instead of the political opponents, yet rather than offer solutions to these problems he simply points out that his opponent wont fix them. It's a oxymoronic commercial that discredits its' self.
Only partisans could fall for such crap.
Want solutions? End the "Fed" Reserve fraud factory!

Donaldubh is why we don't let foreigners vote
Unemployment rate under Republican Congress: 4.4%
Unemployment rate under Democrat Congress 9.7%
Hey, Joe, we are going to clean up come November 2 you Democrats that ruined our economy; full employment Republican Congress under both Pres CLinton and Pres GW Bush.
Sorry, Donaldubh, you can find the data on BLS.gov. As Twain said, better to keep you mouth shut and let people think you are ignorant than open it so they know for sure.
klonowski76 1 year ago
@klonowski76 you insufferable twit, the quote is ' better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt' but why do I bother...? you are making the point wonderfully.
lies. the unemployment rate was far higher... but you know that...
the debt? try adding in wars... but you know that...
and Klownski? the U.S. might be considerably better off had you the input of informed foreigners rather than willfully ignorant citizens such as yourself... have a nice day!!!
donaldubh 1 year ago
@donaldubh hehehe....I didn't google it as quickly as you did....LoL
Point still stands! The unemployment rate when old Joe took the majority in Congress was 4.4% and they have driven it to 10%
We don't really care what foreigners think; we have to do the heavy lifting so we don't need the carping.
Now, if you have something of substance to add, feel free.

@TheUSVET I'm not from Canada. What do I know?
Without the things Admiral Sestak voted for, the US car industry would be toast. Not the kind you have in the morning, the kind that employs 6 million people. The US banks would be toast. Not just the ones that are doing things like try to foreclose on paid for houses, but the ones where your money is.
What I know is a few years of people like Toomey, or Phil Gramm or thank God the Constitution says he's done, W in charge, and we're screwed.

@ratpyan
That's all Republicans have to offer
modernecon 1 year ago
@modernecon Wrong. They accounted for over a quarter of all the bad loans. Their failure precipitated the economic collapse.

@bayernguy Except for the fact that the Democrats inherited a full employment economy in 2007 (unemployment rate of 4.5%), the ad is accurate.
Democrats inherited: full employment, a $150bn deficit and the dow on the way to 14,000. Since they took over in 2007 its been a disaster

donaldubh 1 year ago
@bayernguy Thats so funny since things didnt get bad till democrats got control in 07 before they did unemployment was 4.3%. deficit was 161 billion, debt was 8 Trillion. 4 years of democrat control unemployment is over 9.5% for 14 mths. Deficit is over a trillion and debt is over 13 trillion. So just what mess are the democrats cleaning up? Health insurance is going up. Taxes going up and no jobs THanks democrats
Flamesdupont 1 year ago
@bayernguy Name me a successful Fiat money system? They all fail and are biased towards the bankers and central banks. Both parties have contributed to propping up this 39 year experiment called the US dollar.
mjs48130 1 year ago
