That's exactly the point. Everything is without context here. Without context, we don't know what to think. Three news stations (say CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC) can show the same footage overladen with different text and explanations and we'd feel differently every time.

The news is essentially a vehicle for profit and political agendas.

This film gives a good notion of why fundamental believes (like some religious peolple, politicians, etc. have) can be a danger to the world. What we can learn from hyper reality theories is the notion of uncertainties. Reality is a very complex and paradoxal fenomena. The way the media portray 'reality' is in the mean a very simplistic one. In your film I witness a lot of anxiety, agitation and alienation. A very dangerous mix. Especialy combined with the powerful force of a mass media system.

It's a shame that our perception is modified by this anxiety, agitation and alienation that we see everywhere. Most people either become anxious, agitated and alienated or comfortably numb after having endured several hundred bites of such images. It almost means that they become like that about the issues themselves.
