Kirk is amazing, a solo's greatness lies in the listener's ears, not in the tempo, by that I mean that even if somone can't play really really fast, that person can pull one great fucking solo anyway.

Well, I do not doubt that they would have a break-through without Mustaine, but we gotta take into count that Kill 'em All wasn't their break-through album. But yeah. Hit the lights was written mostly by James in his previous band Leather Charm without Mustaine.
