  • where in northern wi is this

  • @9sten It is called McCaslin Mountain Campground.. Located in norther WI.. I think that their trails are closed now.. That really sucks..

  • It's what the Navigator was made for.

  • 2007-Onward Lincoln Navigators no longer have off-road low range gearing or the Off-Road default torque re-calibration program setting.

  • 2007-Onward Ford Expedition 4-wheel-drive

    Part-Time 4-Wheel-Drive

    BorgWarner "ControlTrac" Selectable 4-model System

BorgWarner 4406 TOD 2-Speed Electronic Transfer Case

With high ratio (1.00:1) Low ratio (2.64:1) crawl ratio (41.06:1)

    Electronic Limited-Slip Front Differential

    Mechanical Locking Center Clutch

    Electronic Limited-Slip Rear Differential

Off-Road default torque re-calibration program setting activated with "4L" mode

And Optional Off-Road Skid Plates (over vital areas)

  • so much fuel wasted...

  • lol. yeah, my grandmothers 1998 navigator has a 5.4L V8 and 4WD (4H, 4L, and A4WD). the little computer on the top says its getting an average of 9.7 MPG. lol

  • Maybe you haven't reset it yet? We get 12.2-14MPG average, depending on highway conditions.

  • It used to get around 13 but them she had some work done to it because it wouldnt pass inspection because of some sensor i think. now its at 9.7.

  • BEAST!! Damn the roaring of the engine is crazy. I love Navigators. Forget about Escalades, Range Rovers, Lexus LX570s, etc... the Navigator is where it's at!

  • hell yeah!

  • and people say 65k cars dont do well off road

  • i agree, it does have fords 4 wheel drive system to

it would get the job done lol

  • no i thinks its something new to lincoln

  • No, it hase the same trans, transfer case, front & rear diffs as the Expedition.. Better motor (in my opinion) & full air ride that teh Expedition lacks..

  • I actutlly took it to a real off-road trail park & it did fairly well.. No lockers & limited suspension travel make hard to get some places.. You should have seen the look on peoples faces when they see a Lincoln on a trail getting all muddy & dusty..

  • for 2003 the navigator had the 3 valve engine the expedition only has a three valve, plus air suspension is optional them as well, but this is pretty good for a suv with three open diffs!!

  • Incorrect, the 03-04 Navi's have a DOHC 32V (4 per cylinder) V-8.. Not the 3V motor that is used now.. The air suspension is standard on all 03-06 Navi's.. I'm thinking about putting in a front locker for some real off-road traction.. That should help a bit in the mud..

  • yah you right,i meant to say the air suspension is optional on the expedition, and that the expedition has a 2 valve engine. But in my opinion you would be better off with a rear locker, because theres more weight the back, causing more wheel resitance
