Elvis was the king but these guys were the geniuses that took it to another dimension and set the bar, year after year while together! They were a decade ahead of their time!
Some of you out there won't understand & some of you(the real die-hards) will- how, a Beatles' performance such as this, is truly a priceless gem!! Any vocal or instrumentation flub is freakin GOLD. To hear the way John & Paul finish with "My" Baby Don't Care on ticket to ride is just an incredible & ultimate trip for me. I'm such a huge Beatles' fan that , whenever & wherever they mess up,makes it that much more fun & spectacular ! Long live The Beatles...& they shall !!
@beatle608 I love this and it is the first time I have heard since I was at the Concert in Houston on August 19, 1965. I am 64 years old. I was 18 when I went down to Houston, TX from Dallas, TX on the Beatle Caravan. It was awesome. I am a Beatlemaniac and always have been. Thank you so much for sharing this. Happy Happy Memories
@DaNyGaLlAgHeR It's a miracle any of it is in tune! They couldn't hear themselves singing (no stage monitors or ear monitors like today!) plus all the screaming...LOL!
The Beatles are a phenomenon. None of them was a trained musician, yet they conquered the world with their harmony, Sound and voices. They possessed Godly gift. They paved the way to all other shitty bands that plagiarized their ideas. Try to convince me otherwise.
My girlfriend and I were there. Saw them waving from a hotel window. First group was booed off stage. A stage hand walked out on the stage and removed the cover of the drum, revealing "THE BEATLES". From then on, the only thing you could hear was building-rattling screaming.
'Everybody is Trying to Be My Baby' is also much better than the one from the Anthology version. The voice isn't drowned out and the guitar is a bit more experimental. Did they not have all of these bootlegs to choose from for the Anthology and will they ever do a "live compilation"? These days they could clean up these recordings a lot.... and may be even reduce the screaming! ;-)
I think it sounds better this way. On the record ('Help' album), the first guitar riff is all the way through the song and gets a bit repetitive after a while. This is better and has a wilder grungier feel that the studio version!
I was there. I was 10, couldn't see because I was o short and could not hear the Beatles for the screaming. Can ANYONE remember who opened for them??

The guitar work is like a practice session. I HATE this era of the Beatles. Fucking so stupid!
I LOVE being thumbed down by HATERS!! I Revel in your agony!

Really nice live recording. John's voice is very ragged in "Dizzy" but he gives it his all.

No, you should be able hear John's hard rhythm guitar playing in sync with Paul's bass.

Paul's bass playing is like a metronome on this song! He's playing his tail off. Of course John's singing is pure Rock & Roll.

Larry, They were sent down from above for just a short time to prove that there is a Heaven.
They left us with their catalog, so we can believe!
