  • Man Those Cops are doing a Stop for no reason other than to violate your rights!

  • Thanks for watching, :-)

  • @healthpimp They are doing it for a good reason, what if it flew off while he was going on a highway and smashed through a window of someone else and created a car crash? Although we may have bad cops, keep in mind, they are doing their job.. without them, the world would be horrible.

  • Hi friend came across this looking at camera mounts so I can do driving videos to cemeteries. I did a test drive to walgreens with a tri-pod on the seat. I put up here as a response so you can see it let me know what you think. talk to you later did you get the tag on? :)

  • Thanks Alfred, Yes I finally got my tag on LOL

  • May I ask what camera you have used on this and how much it weighs. Thanks.

  • its an average weight digital video camera, but it is a very strong mount and will hold a lot of weight. It would take considerable effort to pull it off with out releasing its suction locks

  • I just bought 6 of these. They're great!

  • They are very handy to have

  • Very nice. Thanks for posting. I just ordered one.

  • You will like it

  • In the UK you'd have got a ticket and been kept for about half an hour... Nice cops you got

  • Thanks for commenting, I would file a law suit LOL

  • That's a real nice demonstration Walter! Thanks for sharing with me

  • Thanks Buddy

  • Is that like a main road on your town?

  • LOL Nope just a back street along the railroad

  • Wow nice house and camera mount!

  • Thanks I appreciate it :-)

  • Still catching up on your many videos Walter and enjoying the viewing! That is one fine contraption you got there from the daughter! As a matter of fact, I just went online and purchased myself one as you read this, lol. The camera picks up real nice too cuz I can hear that infamous whine of those Ford power steering pumps, lol. Every Ford truck I've ever owned had that whine including my current 03' F-150. Excellent video my friend, thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks Walker. I got the idea from Bevoin1970 he drive the roads delivering stuff across the big pond and he uses it a lot. Every Ford I ever owned did that LOL

  • A set up like that would be perfect for HWY 99 out in CA Central Valley. There are miles of a busy U.P. track that parallels that highway. Would make for some great pacing videos when I drive down south. I enjoyed this video, thanks for the post.

  • Sounds like a great spot for sure, too bad im 2000 miles away LOL

  • @pwalpar LOL...actually your video gave me the idea that I should do a camera mount of some sort for my car. I have tried to pace trains on HWY 99 but it's too dangerous just handheld.

  • what is this video about? and why was the government there?

  • It was basically me learing to use the mount Thanks for watching

  • @pwalpar Oh, your welcome

  • Dang, I dislike cops at times lol i have had experiences with them, when chasing trains, but most are cool! Cool C of GA/ P Line here, I like railfanning on it, see about 8 trains a day, may try to get down their some day.

  • Thanks Jeffery

  • Glad the officer decided not to write you a citation. I drove up on a check point a few years back and my tags had just expired the day before. It wound up costing me around $100.00!!

  • That would have spoiled my day for sure Thanks

  • Just a quick thought PwalparI. I agree about using a safety strap of some kind but I wouldn’t attach it to the door handle. If you jumped out of the vehicle without thinking you could break the mount and camera loose from the window and a strap that long would let it band against the door edge, etc. You have a roof gutter that you could bolt a small eye-bolt to and attach a short strap to so if the mount came off it wouldn’t drop more than an inch or two. Good luck with whatever you decide.

  • Thanks Ron, your right and I probably would break my camera quickly LOL Thanks for the suggestion

  • Greetings Pwalpar ~ I enjoy your videos and thanks for showing us the camera mount. It's one of the best I've seen. A good “Anti-Shake” setting on your camera helps as well (seems like you may have a very good one). Could you tell me the make and model camera your using? The inexpensive camera I use has an anti-shake feature on it that hardly makes any difference at all. All the best and a belated “HAPPY BIRTHDAY”!

    Ron

  • Ron I appreciate your watching, I use A JVC GZ MG-630 camera. its not great but some of the features like anti shake and zoom id great. Ive made many videos with it.

  • Very interesting. Reasonable police officer. You must have an honest face. I too wouldn't trust my camera to a mount like that without a safety strap.

  • Thanks Bill They should even supply a safety line but dont

  • I do not have a clue LOL

  • Great video!! I really enjoyed the video. I grew up on Searcy Avenue and know that area well. Saw the house where I grew uo. It looks like you were stopped at Searcy and Harlow. I forgot to put my sticker on to and the bad thing is my wife got stopped. I was in the dog house for a few days after that. They let her go to but she was upset with me. From now on I put that sucker on when it comes in the mail.

  • That is an awesome camera mount.

    Thanks for making this video.

It was a pleasure to watch

  • Thanks Raymond, I do like the mount and will use it often

  • What a great bithday present! And you got away without a fine too1 Happy birthday!

  • Thanks Michael, I am goping to get good use of the camera mount

  • nice house and town!..nice vid..well till you got stopped...

  • Thanks for watching

  • Happy belated birthday! I've always been told that what can help a suction cup stick is to mount it on a slightly wet surface. I'm no physicist, so I can't explain why, but it does seem to work. Anyway, I'm glad to see the new camera mount works out for you. -Thom

  • Thanks Thom, the instructions say dont moisten, maybe it will stickk too good the get loose LOL

  • Excellent video Walter.

Is it allowed to film anywhere in the USA?

  • Its a free country and ive heard nothing saying we can not video, so I just keep doing it

  • @pwalpar

    Thanks for your answer.

    This is very good.

  • Nice one. I got stopped by the police for an ID and insurance check (not a road block, they don't do those here) and my tag was one month expired. He didn't even say anything about it and just told me to have a nice day.

  • LOL Thanks Jesse

  • At about the 6:30 mark, did the police's radio say something about a railfan?

  • I tyhink it was saying reaity

  • Happy Birthday!!! it looks like a nice toy!!

  • Thanks John, yes its neat

  • Great video, Walter. I'm trying to find out the location of this video. Are you approaching from East Griffin? It looks like the water tower at 4:00 Minutes is close to the former Dundee / Springs Textile Plt #5? Or am I completely wrong?

  • Your pretty close, I was on Searcy avenue

  • Happy late Birthday Walter.

  • Thank You Daniel

  • Happy Birthday!

  • Thank you

  • I promise I won't make any Jeff Foxworthy jokes along the lines of, "If you tie your youtube camera to the side of your pickup truck with string......" LOL J/K sir !!

Maybe you should attache Gene to the mount and let him hold the camera!!

  • LOL Good one Jim, maybe I can glue him to the hood

  • Happy belated birthday, Walter!! I just had a birthday myself last week. I am looking for a similar camera mount for my truck. It was sure nice of that officer to be so friendly and let you off!! I have encountered some officers that were real "jerks!!" I love how that camera mount works!! BTW, Walter, I received an invitation to ride the UP 844 steam train when it chugs into St. Louis on June 4. The wife and I are getting excited!!

  • hey thanks Bill, and congrats, send me a link to you vids when you make them on the 844

  • excellent video walter so any way happy birthday from all of us down here in graham,wa

  • Thanks Chris

  • I just turned 81 in April. I mounted a tab to my mirror with hole in it to mount my camera on it. I've gotten to where I video from the cab of my pickup. Happy Birthday young man. My oldest boy turns 60 in June.

  • Thanks Mr Craig, show us what you did

  • Nice Camera mount!

  • Thanks Evan

  • First of all Walter, may I take this opportunity to wish you a belated

HAPPY BIRTHDAY and hope you had a wonderful time. Your new present works superbly, it even gets you off having a citation from that very understanding Officer...Brilliant as always...Bob

  • Thanks Bob

  • That is a very nice camera mount.Glad you had a nice birthday and wishes for many more.

  • Thank you very much

  • I'd say they were looking for someone they knew would be coming by there. I've seen them do that right in front of my business and usually it ends up with the vehicle being towed. You're lucky you didn't get caught going 150mph down hwy 16! Anyway enough joking. Something you may consider is including a little rear view mirror in the video . How much was the mount?

  • Thanks for commenting. I think the total was around 70 dollars

  • nice video walter and happy birthday!

  • Thanks Mark

  • Man!!! They let all the celebrities go!

  • LOL Naw just a few of us famous people LOL Thanks

  • you got lucky. that cops was have good day. thats cool mount

  • thanks Brandon

  • Happy Be-Lated Birthday Walter!! How often do the police have every vehicle stopped like that? Nice video Bud!

  • Thanks Eddie, it happens randomly and fairly often

  • Well Happy Late Birthday, sir !

  • Thanks Jim :-)

  • cool, I have some new mounts and tripod. hah good check with a Police road block.

Looks stable enough. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Perhaps a wind sock or screen may help.

Good idea too. And/or mount it on the inside.

  • Thanks I plan to try other uses as well

  • @pwalpar Great! I have yet to begin using my other mount...but my Pistol Grip heavy duty tripod is awesome!

  • Yes Walter nice set up

he would have given you a ticket but he was too busy doing

some kind of a spot check

  • Thanks Wayne I imagine he was, good thing he wasnt looking for youtubers LOL

  • You have nice police officers there.

Yep same here & driver's licence reneal too. I had my sticker in my wallet. The cop said he would have given me a ticket but forgot his ticket booklet at the station. LOL .. I didn't feel so dumb any more.

  • LOL Thanks Jason

  • Our Road Fund Licence is paid yearly; you get a tax disk that goes on a holder on the inside of your windscreen, but it's renewed every year on the anniversary of the first time the car was registered.

  • Thats different. I didnt know how others do it, Thanks Chris

  • Happy Birthday Walter. I like the new camera mount. It does have a lot of wind noise when you video outside the truck but I still like that view, It's kind of cool. Maybe you can get a mic like you said or try a few different methods of a wind block on It. You could try a piece of sponge or maybe a old sock, cut and taped to cover the mic? Just giving you a few Ideas.

  • Thanks for the suggestions Dustin

  • Happy birthday!

  • Thanks Chris:-)

  • Happy Birthday Walter.

  • Thanks Kelby

  • Nice new Camera and Happy B-day walter..

  • Thanks Darrell:-)

  • Excellent video Walter. An external mic would work or a remote one as long as you have a plugin on the camera.

  • Thanks Hans too bad mine doesn't have one

  • Hpy Bdy

  • Thank You

  • Nice and interesting video. It´s always interesting to see something about the USA beside the railroad tracks. Thumbs up!

Congratulations for your birthday, Walter! :-)

  • Thanks Ingo

  • Happy birthday Walter! Great Car Mount! Will have to look into getting one of those! Shame about getting stopped by the Police! But all worked out well! Great Video!

  • Thanks Daniel

  • Great stuff Walter, and a very happy bithday to you as well,i will have a pint or two this afternoon in your honour LOL.....John

  • Thanks John and "Cheers"

  • Happy Birthday Walter and many happy returns of the day.

Great catching the Police lolol I got myself a Car Mount

but I found it better to put the tripod on the passenger side lol

    Great Video Walter weldone 5/5

  • LOL Thanks Martyn

  • Yee Haah Walter, Brilliant!! - Thats exactly what i use, and believe me providing the surface you mount it too is smooth, clean and flat, such as glass or a flat body panel, that little sucker ( literally ) wont fall off. How brilliant is that though? Great seeing your neighbourhood, loved it, but oh how embarrassing being pulled over by the cops, and lo and behold theres the Fat Gecko, in his face!.... ha ha - Now you'll be sticking it in all sorts of places, trust me, I know! LOL

    Happy B'Day

    P

  • Thanks Paul, you could almost read his mind when he saw the camera

  • Happy Birthday Walter. Always wondered where that road went. And Yes, they could have gave you a ticket for the tag but when they do road checks like this they are looking for drugs & DUI's.

  • Thanks Joey, Good info too

  • Excellent video! Happy Birthday!

  • Thanks Conor

  • Also, you have a nail or rock in your tire, sounds like the rear drivers.

  • Yes I heard it too guess I better check the tires LOL Thanks

  • @pwalpar dont mean to be a naggy nancy, but. sounds like your power steering is humming too. maybe low on fluid (last suggestion, Sorry!)

  • LOL No problem, I got a whole list of stuff wrong with my old truck Thanks

  • @pwalpar not that old really 95-97. so not too bad.

  • 94

  • @pwalpar well, late 94, the facelift was for the next year model which carried it to early 97, when late 97 came around the corners were more rounded and the headlights got taller and more beveled.

  • Happy birthday belated Pwal!

  • Thanks Northstar
