@Nick1flute ok here is why. because adele has emotion behind hers she wrote it about her ex after a bad break up. Leann has no emotion behind it to sing like adele. Adele is better no matter what. she wrote it meaning she makes how it sounds thats another reason she cant touch it. she is old and going out of style adele is our new

Leann is 20 years deep in this business and has an exceptionally amazing voice that, like Kelly Clarkson, can tackle ANY kind of song from ANY genre. Leann has nothing to prove and she doesn't need to be compared with Adele simply because she chose to cover one of her songs. If anything, Adele should feel honored that a vocalist of Leann's stature even chose one of her tunes. Yes, Adele is great and she's clearly the flavor of the moment, but don't sleep on Leann. That's insane.

@chosallie LeAnn is an amazing vocalist who has been making music for the majority of my life. Adele is brilliant but she is still relatively new. I'm sure she would have no objections to LeAnn singing one of her songs. And I don't think she was attempting to imitate Adele, if she wanted to she could've, I just think she was showing a versatility to her voice.

@leese27canadian Clearly, you've never seen Adele perform then. This song is extremely emotional for Adele since it's about her ex and to say Adele doesn't show "this much" emotion is insulting. There's so many videos of her crying after the song. Leanne can easily fake her emotions. Don't get it twisted.

The best cover of any song that I have ever heard. I wish she would just do an album of a capella songs. She has the voice and the talent for it. I've been a long time fan of Leann's from the first time I heard her when I was 5. My mom was watching Oprah and she was on there and I instantly stopped playing and just sat and listened. I was the weird kid who loved her more than Britney Spears, even though I did listen to her music. I have so much respect for Leann as a performer and personally.

Can't name any other pop or country singer that could do a finer cover. Even big-voiced singers today like Christina, Carrie, or Gaga, even though they're good singers in their own right, I just can't seem them delivering it like Adele and LeAnn. I was at this event, a small intimate venue in DC. She was amazing. Just a guitar and her voice. No fancy production, no fancy sound system and she still sang this song, and the others, beautifully. She said some kind words about Adele before singing. She was a lot of fun, and her voice was GREAT! STAND UP FOR KIDS was the charity we supported!
