I just realized I own one of these! LOL! I am not a Harry Potter fan, so there was no connection for me, but came across your video when I Googled Argus c3. It is the complete outfit....flash.. light meter, with the camera and even a full box of unused Sylvania bulbs! (Instruction manual also... which I see they are selling on Ebay alone).... Sweet! :)

@ceceruru1 Good deal!! If you ever decide to sell it make sure you point out that its the same as the movie one you get more for it. I think I paid around 10 for mine and around 10 for flash but Ive seen them sell for $80.00 plus

@MsBuBBLesvA I did take two rolls of film thru it and either I did something wrong or something is wrong with the camera... (most likely it was me) lol..... The pictures all turned out over exposed so it just sits on the shelf as a decoration..

I would love too but alas my camera doesnt take pictures. It functions and should take some sort of image but they always turn out blank. It may be me so a instructional video may be the worst thing I could do, probably mess everyone up (haha)

I own an Argus C-3 brick very similar to the matchmatic and have the same flash. What is the decal on the back of your flash reflector, exposure table? Mine does not have that. If you like antique cameras, this is a wonderful one to learn photography with, and fun to use!

Yes its a flash table , it says lens settings with flash and has a list of all the bulbs ect to set the lens to

i bought one just like your only the rangefinder was dirtied up beyond use so i returned it. then i bought an older mid-40s one with a flash i love it

You can get a light meter but there wasnt one on his camera in the movie so Im not going to put one on as it makes it look a bit different

I found one on eBay, the seller says it works, but it doesn't. The shutter is frozen shut. it moves a tiny bit when cocked and triggered, but it for the most part is stuck. not sure what to do. It was a mistake.

If you paid by paypal or credit card contact the seller and explain to him it wasnt as listed and if he doesnt satisfy you with a refund or something then put a claim on him thru paypal or the credit card company. Then they will tell you to return it and when he gets it back they will issue you a refund as long as it is not described right in the auction paypal will stand behind you. Also make sure he has to sign for it so you can prove you sent it and he got it.

Good for you!! Mine dont take pictures? everytime I get the film developed its like no pictures were taken. I know the film is advancing and I tried both and thought one took pictures so I gave a friend the other one for a few bucks he wanted to set it on his shelf but turns out they were pictures my wife had taken with her camera so I was bummed

Check out my other video about the basilisk fang prop I show the new camera that just came in and the differences I found. I got some film too and taking pictures now..... Wont know how good it works till I go to a 1 hour photo (haha) but it seems to be functioning correctly.
