  • This concept of melancoly towards those days is subjective. Back in those days, there were wars fought, famine and corruption going on, just like today. It just reminds us of our own innocence that vanished as we grew older. That is what we long for. I prefer this type of music than what Lady GaGa does, but one cannot ignored that she is still an accomplished artist/performer. Look at how Christina Aguilera blossomed into a mature woman, blessing us with great pop and adult contemporary music.

  • I sent an e-mail to the Montreal Jazz Festival program manager to invite SOS over next summer. They replied and thanked me for the suggestion. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

  • Every time I hear this song it's like the first

    time.

  • Just plain Feel Good music. Cant believe its 23 years ago. Damn we gettin' old.

  • takes me back to 86 working in mc donalds and my mk 2 sony diskman

someone was selling a solar walkman stolen for £30 memories!

  • The summer of 1987 had so many great hits. I miss those days.

  • The whole of the 80s had so many great hits. This song came out in October 1986 not 87.

  • Why be sad about those days being gone when we have so much great music today such as 50 Cent, Kanye West, T.I., Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, etc.

(I'm being hella sarcastic in case it wasn't obvious).

  • corrine is just the hottest babe ever...just don't tell my wife.....

  • You could have the WORST day ever and this video would bring the biggest smile to your face and make you realize--you can do whatever you want no matter what anyone says. They really don't make 'em like this classic song anymore. I miss the 80s so much.

  • This has stuck to me like coins to a parking meter.

(To say nothing of a vending machine, LOL).

  • i love it

  • The singer is so pretty! I vaguely remember hearing this as a kid

  • bds, i remember it the way you do....it was most certainly not 1985. 1985 was the year of Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill.

  • She looks like that actress Janice Hooks.

  • This really was great

we should go back to the 80s someday

  • What a voice - and song structure! The key changes are 'gasp inducing' - pure pleasure.

  • I just discovered this group from of all things their 1997 not-quite-hit. This group is absolutely amazing and grossly underrrated.

Your comment was inspiring and eloquent. So many thanks. BTW, I saw your notation of BASIA, which I nearly forgot in the haze of my college days. Thanks for the reminder. LOL

  • thanks, I needed that! :-)

  • I think the music and the lead singers singing is excellent. It's just her facial expression look psychotic sometimes.

  • Nice hairdo Corinne Drewery! Feel good song! This group is as good as D'Sound. Both groups have fine female vocalists.

  • wonderful Corinne! so beautiful and classy...I wish I could look like Her!

  • I have a question... why is it every time i reply to a 80's video comment, it doesn't reply, but rather puts it at the very top as a (out of context) comment. Is this a bug, or what? if so, has been on YT forever, and needs fixing... if that time ever comes.

Now, back to our regularly schedueled program...

  • wat r u talking about kinmsey0000? r u mad that no one talks to u?

  • help me out here folks

  • Comment removed

  • how did such a great song create such a hate filled comments board? u guys are silly! BREAKOUT, already!!

  • Among TALENTED singers, she must be in the top 4 AT LEAST.....

why the hell is she not more famous than Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears, who are NO WHERE NEAR the top ten?

  • Quite possibly among the most beautiful singles ever written. The way the song is arranged, all the elements come together so beautifully and flawlessly. And the tone of her voice is simply angelic.

  • thanks for posting

  • Swing out Sister, thanks for providing the theme music for the best home in Safety Harbor!

  • Saw them in NY at BB Kings. Corinne is more gorgeous now than in '86. How is that possible? Don't know but we saw it with our own eyes. Thanks Swing out Sister for the best concert in the last 50!

  • If God let build the perfect face for a woman I would start with Corinne's and probably not change a thing. She's a doll and yes she's as beautiful today as ever.

  • So just chill out and stop hatin' is basically what i'm saying. Your attitude contributes jack shit to society.

  • fuck you. you have no idea what you say. ignorant bitch.

  • To be fair, shelivade, I was running today and hurt my ankle. The only person to not stop and help me was this black guy. He was right behind me and saw that I hurt myself but didn't bother. Also, the only time i've ever been robbed was by a black guy. And i'm around very few black people to begin with. My point is that i've been fucked over by black people before but I don't let it change the way I treat their whole race because I've met a lot of good ones too.

  • Exactly and if you live in the United States niggers only incorporate 12% of the national population still you're most likely to be robbed by one and statistically they still somehow manage to commit the most crimes. End of story.
