My favorite Saint. Can u imagine anyone giving up riches, women and drink for GOD? Can u imagine Not eatting for days or wks at a time? Going into a leper city and giving them his crumbs? Washing them etc? Can u imagine anyone doing that today? He loved everyone and everything. Even flowers. Everything was precious to this man. He nor most of us do not force anything on anyone. Just a few of them. This man gave without asking for anything at all. He was a very giving man.
this is why the romans throgh the christians to the lions, these so called christains like to force there values on everybody else. i do not trust these so called priests. i won't say what they really are i'd prob get into trouble for saying so i'm keeping me mouth shut.
Um. . . the Romans through Christians to the lions because they (the Romans) were attempting to force the Christians to believe in the "Roman" religion.
That was a rather odd comment to see on a video showing monks washing lepers.
@TweedleDumm1 LOL that is wise. Just to inform u. St. Francis was very rich from a rich family. He gave it all up to be like JESUS. He was a romeo as well. Gave up women to. He loved everyone. Helped everyone. Cared for everything. Even flowers and animals and everything esle in this world. He was gentle and kind and very, very poor. there were times were he did not eat for days or wks at a time. He ate only veggies when he did. He went blind and lived all alone at the end. Just for info. :o)
