  • I have well, my D'Armond looks just like yours...got one in it's original box, and cost me a fortune.

I'd like to compare my guitar sounds to yours, but I don't know what kind of strings you use...maybe those are stik bebops? They do sound like roundwounds.

  • @sclogse1 how can buy one of these guitars namedure@tampabay.rr.com

  • @Namedure

Well, first of all, that gold DeArmond pickup runs close to a grand, especially if it comes in it's original box. Maybe I paid too much. deaconmark calls the guitar "the old D'angelico" but it may not be that old...have to ask. I tell though...I have top of the line Kay completely rebuilt and refinished that well, looks a whole lot like this guitar does, ( except for the head)...which I placed my DeArmond on. we can email each other, and I'll send you pics.

    (I have about 22 guitars)

  • Been listening to several of your videos. This guitar sounds terrific to me - both acoustically and plugged in. Love that D'Armond 1100. I have one on my archtop - fabulous pickup. This D'Angelico has the most 'complete' sound of all the guitars you've played. Very round, with no particular frequencies emphasized or overstated. Congrats on that piece.
