the thing i like about the makers of Dragon Age is that even their E3 trailer was made using the same graphics as the game, where as Ubisoft took ACB and ACR and made their E3 trailers look like they got people to act it out and then you play the game and they had to downscale it which dissapointed me. it was good game though. but i wish they would make it look like how it looks in the game rather then trying to make it look so much better graphic wise.

I am in the middle of DA2 yes it has several issues, I normally would not have a problem with the story of the game, but DA2 has a dumbed down feeling, oh their is a story their-I can even understand why they took a different direction. Instead of good solid game, it feels more like button mashing with the PC version. If your a mage for example some of the spells especially healing spells have way to long of a cooling off cycle. What gets me the most is the cost of the game $60 bucks

Depending on their race and class, you play through an origin story getting into their background and are eventually and inevitably recruited into the Grey Wardens, an order dedicated to fighting the darkspawn. After certain events-including betrayal-you and your party travel all over Ferelden recruiting help for the oncoming Blight.

That's the basic story in a nutshell. For more, play the game.

My hypothesis is that Dragon Age is in fact part of Mass Effect continuum, and Thedas is one of the human colonies. Lyrium dust is just another word for Element Zero.

Of course, this hypothesis has no experimental evidence to support it at all, but I think it would be something Bioware could do.

People that can do that can become very attached to fictitious characters. That's why some people get so angry and/or depressed when main characters from a long series of books or TV show are killed off. They're both incredibly good, but Dragon Age is almost exactly what I've always wanted from a single player RPG. For years I've said that Baldur's Gate was the best video game RPG ever made. It was table top made right. Well In 2009 Dragon Age: Origins finally topped Baldur's Gate. Nothing comes close, not Oblivion, not WoW, nothing.

Mass Effect is just the Sci-Fi version of the same game.

And if you are talking about the story, Dragon age story is perfect, no question about that. On the other hand, is it better than WOW? Well WoW is a continuation of a story that started in Warcraft 1, which continued in many games and novels over a period of more than 20 YEARS. WOW story is much more bigger, with more plots, relations among characters, and much more complex.

@Neofinal WoW and DA are two different game types. Just because a game is labled "MMORPG" doesn't mean that there is any room for the "RPG" bit. That's what I think is missing in WoW. Bioware is gonna be focusing on the RPG part in SW: Old Republic, and I'm looking forward to that, but the only RPG part of WoW is what you create yourself. There are no choices, no real interaction with any characters. Maybe SW: OR will be the only MMORPG who deserves the "RPG" bit of their name.
