i live in Maryland and ive been in Baltimore but i don't under stand how come rest is poverty except for inner harbor and its office downtown area.i feel sad that i live near a high crime city..............although rest of Maryland nice

Baltimore is great, I loved all the stores and stuff, except there are alot of homeless people.

Baltimore has a very beautiful, well maintained downtown area. the other 95% of the city is horrible, crime ridden and poverty stricken. The same applies to New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, and every other major city.

If you are interested in history, Baltimore also has a great museum called the Walters Art Gallery. It ranges from the ancient times to the Victorian age. But I must warn you, its alot of stuff to see in one day.

I didn't forget to mention the murder rate I just didn't want to speak of the city poorly but you are right the murder rate is crazy and what is even worse is the closure rate of murder cases. It is said that if you want to kill someone and get away with it do it in Baltimore.

I used to live in Baltimore, from 1994 - 2001. I lived in Essex which is about 10 miles east of downtown, just follow Eastern Blvd. & you'll smack into it. The USS Constellation, Torsk, Zoo & WTC are good places to visit. If you go inside the WTC go to the top floor, the view is great.

Yup, it's got a great view. They have an observation floor but all the offices are on the floors below it. Take the chance to explore the Inner Harbor.

There is a observation deck. It is on the 27th flooor; the top floor. It is a nice panoramic view of the harbor and downtown. The Baltimore WTC is the worlds tallest 5 sided building. But if you are back in Baltimore you have to go check it out.
