I hate bowling in this game. In regular wii sports it was so much better. I can't even get the ball out of my hands in this game, and when u do actually throw it, it just drifts off to the right every time, and it never hooks at all. It SUCKS

Wii sports Resort requires more accurate precision/aim in your throws. It's not like in Wii Sports where you could throw it and expect an instant strike.

Hooking is possible. If you're having trouble try re-syncing Wii Motion Plus if you have the attachment. You could also try pausing the game then remove the attachment, reconnect it, re-sync and see if you receive any better results.
